A acknowledgement was sent, and work turned preparing for the Roskanans. The day of arrival soon came, with Dravos standing with a single guard at the docks. The man had changed drastically these past few months, an eyepatch coving the wound he had earned while his stance seemed to exude the man's personal exhaustion. Still, there was a job to do, and as the Roskanan vessel approached to dock, his facade came up once more as he did what he could to stand firm.

The warship was notably large, colored not like typical Roskanan vessels, but rather it had Aldenite Colors - golden trim on a red border with black liverly, and a flag depicting two mountains beneath a black sky and a red sun, with those maintains lined with gold and beneath that, red to signify Rust. It was a Sixth Fleet vessel, rarely deployed for anything except for important tasks, and so this truly was a high-priority endeavor for Roskana. The vessel would come to dock, and once it had, stepping off of the vessel, would be a Kithium first, and behind her would be almost twenty others, of which none were military, all were government - save the last two, which belonged to the Cult of Mars.
The Kithium was from the looks of it, captain of the vessel. She gave him a short nod of acknowledgment as she approached, and stepped to the side while behind her would come the delegation itself. Among them would be a Festria man, wearing a black suit and jacket, while as well the others followed, the Festria coming to stop in front of him, holding his hand out for them to shake as he spoke. "I'm Ambassador Adashenko, of the Republic of Roskana."

"Welcome to Valdera, Ambassador. I am High Marshal Fulgrun, head of all matters concerning internal affairs within the Republic." He'd give the Festrian a firm handshake, casually looking over the rest of the delegation before turning back to Adashenko
"I hope the seas treated you fairly on your way here, the autumn waters can be more difficult to navigate for those unaccustomed"

"A pleasure to meet you." He'd say. "They were manageable. I am not the sailing type, though I wasn't stirring the ship.' He'd say with a chuckle. "Now then. I'd like to get my staff settled first and then we can start talks. Would you lead the way?"

"Of course, if you'll follow me" The Mil'Nor led the way towards the carriages they would ride to the Castle, their comfort the best available on coach&horse. The roads of the capital had seen a great deal over work over the past several months, the added trade from foreign powers making investments into the states infrastructure needed to maintain the routes. Dirt was replaced with fine cobblestone roads, the path to the capital eased by the guard accompanying the procession. Within Dravos's Carriage the man would speak with the Ambassador and his chosen colleagues. "I am glad to host these talks, Mr Adashenko. With the assault from Xagreau along our border, we require any aid that can be offered during these times. In return. the Republic is happy to offer Roskana direct trade of goods and arrangements to work as a middleman between Kithium and Rosknana. If there are further investments you wish you offer, we have more then enough resources to offer as seasonal compensation."

The Roskanan expedition was mostly a diplomatic one, but if one were really looking hard enough, they could tell that this had some sort of military significance just because of the fact that the Roskanans had brought notable military personnel with them. Atop of that, the Cult of Mars was not a major organization outside of Roskana, Marrlan, and the League - their representatives were with the delegation and that made it a joint endeavor between a theocratic republic with multi-species enclaves all over the world and the world's most active republican power.
And among the chosen party to which would be sent straight to the city, would be the Ambassador himself, and then a Kithium woman and Festria man in Cult robes, while across from them would be a Roskanan general, an Admiral, and then several civil representatives of Roskanan government departments, to which all wore a patch on their semi-militarized uniforms that read as "Committee for Foreign Partnership" in Roskanan. Adashenko seemed to be the speaker overall, if not because of his official position, then because he was also the generally the one of whom had suggested being the one to lead the effort - fighting over control of who'd do the talking wasn't beneficial and Roskanan politics was hostile to things that did not benefit either the state, or the people.
"We've had word of such from both Zedonia through the Martian enclave there, and as well from Cult representatives passing messages via courier to and from the League. I think we can arrange some form of military aid to you alongside any other direct trade and investments from either side." He'd say. "We're sure that can be arranged. Once we can start negotiating I've a fair lot of things to talk about. For the moment I'd like to know what you know of the Kithium League - it's been a long time since we've had consistent contact with the League and we aren't sure of much about our lost brothers."

"Lost to you as they may have been, we have found them to be wonderful brothers in kind. They have made a name for themselves here, by my measure Ambassador." Leading the way to the carriages collected, Dravos continued "Grown to such strength and prosperity, another decided to strike upon them. They lost a war to the Union of South Touli, who they have now by my knowledge gone to kill in return. Beyond that, in any diplomatic situation Ambassador, Mil'Nor stands as a people joined with the Kithium League in their struggle. Ask me whatever you are willing to risk, if you play the game of a snake."

"I'm glad that they're playing nice with someone." The Roskanan ambassador said. "I've heard. Though we did not know much of the event itself, as we've never been able to get a lot of information since the fall of the Tsar. Still If the League has embarked on conquest against the UST then I can only imagine the reasoning was good, or at least understandable." He'd say.
"It will be good to perhaps rekindle a connection with them." He'd raise an eyebrow. "Game of a snake?"

"Apologies if my meaning was lost in the tongues. The Joined Clans are no more, with the murder of High Chief Nils Tolvaj. Beyond the Kithium, we have not truly found one offland who can be...trusted to an utmost degree." Approaching the carriages, the guard alongside would offer aid in boarding. Dravos himself would climb into the metal box on wheels. While it's exterior seemed plated for defense, rich luxury and expense was given for the interior of the carriages, with special care given for the taller species of the world.
"That said, we are prepared to be as forthright with our own problems as possible. The Republic of Valdera is more then happy to be a friend to the Roskanan people." He said, having offered a hand to the ambassador from within. "I can tell you the Deacon is of the same mind. Many things have changed since you were last down this far south, both with us and the Kithium. With that is the unique benefit to be realized with mutual cooperation, I'd think you'd he agree"

The Roskanans' expression had become harder and stonier, and while they likely understood why someone would make such a statement, they didn't take it lightly, and they'd make it clear that the implication wasn't a welcome one, merely for that moment, tolerated - if they implied it again, the Roskanans would bite back. Still he didn't opt to address the statement. He took their hand, but as he did he leaned in and spoke softly but clearly." He would let go of their hand after giving it a firm handshake, "Yes, I believe that there is plenty to gain from mutual cooperation with the Valderan Republic and Roskana." He'd rest his hands in his lap again.

"With that settled, I'd like to discuss the scope of investment we are looking for." Dravos said, having returned a firm shake before leaning backwards. The convoy would begin it's journey to the capitol buildings, the High Marshall continuing as the cityscape passed by. "Weapons of war imports, civil project funding and other investments are willing to be signed in return coin, gold or another resource that we can provide. We of course are willing to offer communications with the Kith during your stay here, their embassy is located within the Foreign Quarter. Beyond that, I ask what you have come seeking beyond your lost brothers" His voice had lost a sliver of the stoic air he kept before, the Mil'Nor seeming relaxed in both tone and disposition.

"Weaponry imports aren't considered high on the list of what we're willing to give you, as of this moment. Due to circumstances in the north the most I can offer if it comes to weaponry would be the potential sail of old warships to Valdera and part of our stockpiles of old rifles. We are more interested in significant civilian investments into Valdera's ports, as well as providing financial aid to civilian infrastructure projects, and potentially establishing an embassy and consulate in the foreign quarter, as well as consulates elsewhere in the foreign quarter. We as well may be willing to offer military assistance such as sending trainers and advisors."
