Lehran took the floor once more. A line in the sand had to be drawn. Kithium and the Coalition's demands had been drawn down, starting with very legitimate reasons and moving on to more and more Kumo meddling. "I'm afraid Franerre must put her foot down here, Minister Kure. The Union Military carried out a genocide in Tafatu, and I would be surprised if they treated the Kithium League any better. The execution of those responsible is a good start, but ideas can persist where men die. I may not be around to see it, but I believe all our children would prefer if we didn't fight this war again when the Union has rebuilt their economy and military in thirty, forty years' time. You already know that a limit on the Union's military would be our preferred method of achieving this, but if that truly is off the table than at least a demilitarized zone across the Tafatu border, and Kithium's should they desire it, could be seen as a more reasonable goal? We ask for this in addition to non-aggression pacts because, ultimately, such things are only ink on paper without the continued political will on the homefront to make good on those promises. I trust the good Admiral to keep his word, but Franerre cannot know whether there are more men like the Admiral or like your late President, peut-il brûler en enfer, in the Union government. We need something more tangible than a scrap of paper."

As the Mil'Noran party began to make their leave, King Dante looked to where Marshal Zelgius still stood by Admiral Vokoyo. The King nodded a head towards the leaving kobolds. Being Kumosenkan's 'valued friend and ally' did not bode well, and made the plan the three had discussed on the way here all the more important.
"Excuse me, Admiral," Zelgius said, following after the Mil'Norans as they left. He caught up with them as the door closed, the Marshal and the Captain cut off from the conversation happening on the other side.
"Captain Torres," the Marshal said, trying to catch the man's attention, "Franerre has something they wish to discuss with your government, but it is best if it waits until after the peace talks have concluded. I understand better than most that a war in your homeland is of the upmost concern, but surely you could leave a representative behind to hear us out?"

"You think you have the right to dictate what happens to another nation for the next forty years? That is absurd. Beyond." Kure scoffed at the Franerri. "Even if the UST were to agree to such restrictions, there would be time limitations, and it would not be forty years; it wouldn't even be ten years. You are getting your way with those who are actually responsible for this war. Going further than that is clear that you are simply letting your temper get the best of you. Perhaps you should turn to your advisor, who actually knows something about peace negotiations." She gestured at McCaig. "I'm confident he'll tell you to cool your head and accept the deal on the table."

McCaig side eyed Kure harshly sending her a signal to ‘back off’.
“It sounds like we’ve addressed most things but what of this lot?” He pointed to the oligarchs out in the hallway.
Kendaya stood up, “we shall trial them and see to it they are punished for their crimes. Objections?” Kendaya said looking to the admiral who silently shook his head in return.
McCaig clapped his hands, “cheers then, we are done” he placed his shillelagh down propping himself up off the chair and walking out to see if he could get a ship out of the UST asap. “Maybe I can get something to eat in the league, I hear they have wonderful game meat this season.” He said to himself in the hall.
Kendaya and his people took the oligarchs in to be punished for the warcrimes they committed against the rebels. The bian who had been most quiet took their leave as well.
Admiral Vokoyo would meet with the frannerre once everyone left but remained seated, saturating in a good bit of stress sweat.
For one or the other, the UST war had ended.

~ Torres eyed the man with clear skepticism at the request, the officer raising a hand to dimiss one of the guards as Torres ordered the man in his native tongue. The soldier gave a curt nod before he quickly left, the Field Captain turning back to the Marshal as he switched back to common "If you bring talk, Frannerri, I will listen. Once you have finished your own matters here, we can discuss things aboard the privacy of my own ship." The Captain gestured towards the conference doors "Your people's support against the fickle interests of the Old Worlders has at least earned the ear of the Valderan people. Bring whoever or whatever is needed for these discussions you seek."

A Kithium Empress would step out of the room, and come over to Torres. Once he'd finished speaking, she would briefly interject, bowing her head as a sign of respect, something she'd done with no other in attendance thusfar. "Captain. If you may, I need to request space on one of your ships. I need to speak to your president in person and there's no telegraph link between the UST and Valdera." She'd say. "The people I sent ahead of me are going to inform them I plan to arrive via your ship." She would say, producing a small box of gemstones from a pocket on her thigh. "And as is courtesy in my homeland and that of my ancestors, I will pay you for the service." She'd say.

The arrival of the Kith Empress had not gone unnoticed by the smaller Mil'Nor, Torres returning a deep bow as he spoke "A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one Your Excellency." Rising up, he'd take the bag of gemstones from the woman, weighting the bag for a moment before stuffing it away in his coat. "Your donation to our war effort will not go unnoticed as well, but I will have to ask the reason for your visit behind closed doors."
Turning to the Marshal, Torres wore a slight grin as he spoke "My vessel shall remain in port for the next three days. Come to us with your business once prepared, and we will happily hear your offer. If nothing else, we seek a good deal with all others, and I do hope you will bring that your king. You and your people have been nothing but reasonable against the "rulings" made today, something I intend to dignify in my own report homeward"
