Fear was not an emotion Reito wished to dig deeper into. She felt enough fear and anxiety every waking moment of her life now. "You remind me of my mother. “Trade network, naval cooperation and a secret clause that if either of us are directly attacked by the SU the combined might of our militaries will respond to the other. We both work together on naval advancements to counter the SU and use official diplomatic channels going forward. A public statement showing that what we once held has ended and that Galra cannot rely on old rivalries to play into their hands.”

"I find those terms agreeable." Reito nodded, concealing her relief. "However, there still stands the issue of 'SATO.' An organization based on the foundation of despising Kumosenkan and all she stands for. I cannot enter into any form of agreement with you until either SATO is dissolved or it makes a public statement and resolution that it has no intention of engaging in any form of hostility with Kumosenkan, be it military, economic, or otherwise."

“It would take the other representatives but I think following this meeting SATO would follow our lead on this and pursue and more cooperative outcome.”

Rufus thought slightly of how it would go over with the other SATO members but given how the SU was actively burning western Touli they needed to know the more serious threat. It also seemed to be a blessing in disguise that Frannerre refused to join as they would have likely vetoed the motion.

“It seems we have come to agreement.” Rufus said, honestly overwhelmed and trying to retain his excitement at this monstrous moment in history. “Is there anything else Empress?”

"The agreement will go into effect when I see the statement from SATO in the press. Until then, I can assure you nothing." Reito reconfirmed. "Anything else can be handled by our respective diplomats. I will find a lot for the construction of a Gaelic embassy. I look forward to the headlines, King Rufus."
