Following the failure of the talks with Studebaker regarding selling AMO the license for Studebaker engines, AMO instead then took several engines in their possession - the Studebaker one being the most modern, but not the only one - took them apart to study them and began work on developing their own engine. After some time the general direction of the development has been agreed upon, and the following specifications were expected: Name: AMO Model A Type: in-line, carbureted Fuel: petrol Horsepower: 73 Max rpm: 2400

Using both the domestic Garmarta AG-99 and Garmata AG-94, as well as all the artillery lend-leased to Ashinara by UKUG during the Tafatu War, work began on developing new models of artillery for the Ashinaran Army. The project relatively quickly split in two as it was understood there was a need for lighter artillery that would be attached directly to units on the ground at the tactical level, and heavier artillery that would be commanded on the level of larger units at the strategic/operational level. For now, work would start on developing one model of each of the two types of artillery. Name: Polkovaya Garmata M1935/G-1 (Regimental Gun M1935/G-1) Type: Field Artillery Role: Infantry Support Artillery Crew: 7 Mass: 780 kg Barrel length: 1.25 m Shell: 76.2 x 167mm R (Projectile and charge as a single cartridge) Caliber: 76.2 mm Breech: interrupted screw Carriage: Pole trail Elevation: -6° to 25° Traverse: 6° Rate of fire 10 - 12 rounds per minute Maximum firing range 4,200 m Name: Diviziyonna Garmata M1935/H-1 (Divisional Gun M1935/H-1) Type: Howitzer Role: Medium-Long Range Artillery Crew: 8 Mass: 2,535 kg Barrel length: 4.05 m Shell: 106.7 x 420mmR (Separate loading charge and projectile) Caliber 106.7 mm Breech: interrupted screw Recoil: hydro-pneumatic Carriage: box trail Elevation: -5° to 37° Traverse: 6° Rate of fire: 5-6 rounds per minute Effective firing range: 16,130 m

The office of the Quartermaster General of the Ashinaran Army has deemed it necessary to increase the efficiency of both development and production of military equipment by consolidating into a massive industrial complex.
The site chosen would be the secluded Tarrin Valley, located in almost the exact geographic center of the Ashin island, deep in the mountains. The location - being difficult for both potential bombers and attacking armies to reach by nature of being valley in the mountains, and definitely too far to be bombarded by naval guns - made it only one of the reasons this was the ideal location.
The valley was home to the town of Tarrin, a decently-sized metallurgical town, servicing several foundries - meaning supply of materials for the building of prototypes and then mass production was right there. Then there was the Tarrin Castle, built hundreds of years ago not too far from the town on the slopes of the mountains surrounding the valley. This would be the heart of the new Tarrin Research Complex, and the adjoining Tarrin Arsenal . Work would begin immediately to turn the castle from what it currently was - a vacation home of one of Galchiyna's nobles - into a fully functional research center. The building of new structures would be limited to save time, with existing ones being repurposed for the needs of the research teams.
Next in the plan was the massive Arsenal factory complex, consisting at first of: 20 Armament Factories, 10 Motor Factories and 5 Aircraft Factories.
Along with it, the town of Tarrin would have a new residential district constructed for all the new workers that would come to work at the Arsenal once it's completed.
Finally, a coal powerplant would be constructed to provide full electrification for the facilities of the Research Complex, Arsenal and the town.
None of the research teams or production facilities would be moved to the new location until it can be done so with minimal delay to research progress and production.

Upon the acquisition of the production license for the Higgins MGM-34 machine gun of Marrish origin, one of the production lines building the licensed UKUG ZIX machine gun would be immediately put into the process of retooling to build the new MG. Once production on this line reaches full capacity, the next production line will start retooling, and so on until the old model is entirely phased out by the new one. The Higgins machine gun will enter Ashinaran service under the name Machyngwehr ZR-34 (Or shorthand, how it would often be referred to by the troops - MG-34)

Due to a mixture of priority of other projects and bureaucratical inefficiencies, it would take just a bit over a year since the first acquisition by the Army R&D department of foreign pistol examples, before they would receive the green light (and funding) to develop the first Ashinaran semi-automatic pistol. After a first basic prototype has been completed, tests very quickly revealed that the 9 mm rimmed revolver cartridge was not suited for semi-automatic use, causing frequent malfunctions. The first prototype would thus be scrapped and the designers would go back to the drawing board. Dimensions would be adjusted, while a separate team would work on creating a new proprietary, rimless cartridge. They decided to make it a 7.62 mm caliber, just like the rifles and machine guns - meaning they could source the barrels from the same production line that makes barrel blanks for the rifles and machine guns, thus saving production cost. The cartridge ended up being a bottlenecked, 7.62 x 25 caliber, making it slightly more powerful than the old 9mm revolver cartridge.

Of the sailors that have defected from the Royal Navy to the newly (and secretly) created Red Navy, 10,000 would start to retrain to become Naval Infantry.
This will be supplemented by 5,000 Eyrian conscripts who would join the ranks of the Red Navy and also begin training as Naval Infantry. They are expected to take slightly longer to train as unlike the sailors, they had no prior training.
The Red Guard, currently numbering about 5,000, would conscript 25,000 Eyrian citizens and begin training them to Light Infantry level.
Total recruitment/training numbers:
Sailors retraining to Light Infantry - 10,000 Conscripts training to Light Infantry - 30,000

Upon nearing the completion of 7.62 x 25 mm pistol cartridge, work began on developing a domestic submachine gun based on the designs shared by the Coalition.
