Reitō was somewhat surprised but relieved at the answer. "That's more than acceptable. I'm sure Takanashi-kas will need time to prepare for her sudden journey as well. You're more than welcome to use our telegram but be forewarned that there are no secure lines that reach from here to Eleria. We can direct it so it doesn't cross any other nations to reduce the chance of the greatferns getting their hands on it. If you can avoid mentioning Tankanashi-kas's visit that'd be ideal. Oh, and we're both leaders of nations, you can call me Doku-kan."

The color slowly returned to Laurence's face as his pulse slowed back down to its normal pace. For now at the very least, things seemed to be going well enough. At the very least, he didn't have eight eyes staring through to his very soul anymore, so he could take a bit of solace in that.
"Very well Doku-kan, and don't worry about people finding out more than they need to know, I only convey the information that is absolutely necessary, and I doubt people will find air traffic out of Eleria strange. I'll simply ask Marina to send a transport along my previous scheduled flight path to meet with me, she'll know what I need, and nobody will be able to draw any sort of conclusion. Though I must ask, does Miss Tankanashi have an alias of some sort? Something that would sound more Eonian, perhaps? If I tell the Greatferns that I'm coming to their doorstep with a Kumo official, I doubt they'll be very welcoming."

"My thoughts exactly. Takanashi-kas doesn't have any official aliases, and neither of us is familiar with Elerian naming conventions. I think it'll be reassuring to know Kumosenkan hasn't taken much interest in Eleria before you reached out to us. I'll have Takanashi-kas visit your hotel tonight for proper introductions. Though I'm afraid this is where our meeting will have to end. I have another appointment in fifteen minutes. I will ensure that the rest of your stay is nothing less than pleasant. If you need absolutely anything, please contact Ninomae. I trust her completely to handle it." She gestured to her emissary and stood. She offered the Imperator a deep bow before exiting the room.

Laurence returned her bow, watching patiently as she left the room and giving himself a silent, hardly noticeable nod of approval considering he hadn't messed things up too bad.
"Well, that could've gone much, much, much worse. That is by far the most anxious I've been since... oh nevermind. Miss Ninomae, might I ask you to deliver a message to a telegraphist to be sent to my wife? I'm sorry if it's a bother, were I home I would do it myself but this is not my empire."

Kyou flinched at being addressed by her first name by an almost complete stranger. "Of course. Please follow me and I'll take you to the secure telegraph room." Kyou stood and shook off the discomfort and lead them to a somewhat small room in which there was a lone telegraph and telegraphist. "This is Yoshioka Bunko, she should be able to get a message to Eleria immediately."

Laurence gave Yoshioka a polite nod before pulling a notepad from his pocket, writing down his message in his own tongue.
"I understand this won't make much sense to you, but if you can send this properly, it should get through without issue." He said, handing her the message to be sent. The paper he handed her was simple and written in clear, plain text.
Bho Imperator Laurence gu Imperatrix Marina. Stad.
Cuir neach-giùlan saighdearan gu Fuyonouso a ’leantainn mo shlighe itealaich. Stad.
Tillidh sinn le bhith a ’giùlan beairteas mòr airson ar daoine. Stad.
"Not a single mention of anyone actually taking the flight, simply 'great wealth for our people'. Of course, she'll know it's a farce... I think. Can't really say, haven't done this before now, never needed to." He said with a light chuckle and a shrug.

The telegraphist was diligent and sent out the message immediately. Despite the fact she didn't understand it she simply translated the letters one by one and sent them through the northern line to the trans-oceanic line that traveled through Amali straight to Eleria. Once she finished she nodded back to the Imperator.
Kyou smiled "Thank you. Allow me to introduce you to Takanashi-kan." She turned and walked out of the telegraphing room, walked down a few hallways, and knocked on an office door labeled 'Minister of Homeland Security'. A voice came from behind the door telling them to enter. Sitting behind a desk was a short blonde woman who was still putting away a few handfuls of documents. She looked up and offered the Emissary a smile. Kyou returned it and spoke. "Thank you Takanashi-kan. This is the Imperator from Eleria. I have new orders for you from the Empress. You're going to travel with the Imperator to his home, sit in on a meeting with the leader of the greatferns, and once that is over you are to report to Elenria to carry out the rest of Plan F. You should receive documents by the end of the night." Kyou spoke quickly and professionally and turned to leave. "It's been a pleasure Imperator, but I must be getting home."
Takanashi looked up to the Imperator and studied his face. "I heard you were coming here, but I'm surprised that I'm being involved. Would you mind shedding some light on the situation?"

"Of course." Laurence replied, pulling a simple map from his pocket. It had been marked with his flight path, as well as several other notes and things, but it would do for what he needed.
"Elenria's got a bit of an issue with the Greatferns, and apparently so do you, so I intend to help out. The Greatferns are a bit less than kind when dealing with demihumans, being even more extreme than we are in that regard, and so I intend on acting as an arbiter to help smooth negotiations. That said, your Empress has requested that you be sent to join me in this diplomatic mission, and given how much the Greatferns seem to distrust Kumosenkan, if you don't mind I'd like to have you act as one of my own. I can provide you an alias, alibi, and clothing to match so you don't look out of place as an Elerian. Lord Kaln has asked that I aid him and his resistance against your empire, but I'm not going to be the catalyst for a war, especially not one that I've got no place being involved in. Our mission is to find out exactly what he and the rest of the Greatferns want, then we can speak with the Empress and figure out a further course of action, ideally one that doesn't involve combat. I must ask though, what exactly is this 'Plan F'?"

"Plan F is extremely classified. Even I only know half of it." The Minister brushed the question off and moved on. "That sounds like a good plan to me. I have to be in Elenria in a few days anyway so that should work out just fine for me. I'll admit, I'm not great with accents or new languages, I'll need a lot of help getting a believable accent down. What sort of cover do you have in mind for me Imperator?"

"Being Minister of Homeland Security, I'd imagine you have a fair bit of experience working with the military, if not serving yourself, yeah?"

"Of course. Fifty-third infantry in the fifth staol war. Served on the front lines during the Kumo-UG push into Galra."

"Good, congratulations on your promotion General Maggie Douglas, you've been assigned as Chief of Staff of the Imperial Elerian Army. When we reach Iomairt, I'll have my wife take measurements for you and arrange a uniform, though we'll definitely want to work on your accent. Perhaps we'll see if we can't find a restaurant and have you order, see how well you pass off as a native. Once we have a benchmark we can go from there, sound agreeable to you?"

"I am ever thankful your highness. I will do my best to command our forces as safely and efficiently as possible." Takanashi laughed to herself. "Yes, that all sounds fine to me. Though I can't leave tonight. I have to tell my husband that I'm leaving for Touli earlier than planned. I'll stop by your hotel tomorrow afternoon and we can begin there. I look forward to working with you, Imperator."

"And I, you. Oh, just one or two more things. Your flight still has to get here from Eleria, so please spend that time to wrap up important work here and get your husband caught up to speed with your plans. We'll be taking off at 06:00 sharp in two days time provided everything goes according to plan. I'll see to it that Marina has a room prepared for you when you arrive." He said with a polite nod, bidding the minister farewell for the evening. He returned to his hotel room, spending the next while planning out the operation and setting things in motion, hopefully ensuring a smooth first stage.
