They would be able to do most of what they asked for with relative ease. The alterations were not considered to be difficult, and generally variations of the weapons with the alterations they wanted already did exist. Though of course, a fair amount of those were not even licensed under any of their brand names, and often were war-time conversions or civilian customizations. They would have to go purchase some and then study the designs and such, which itself would not be all that difficult, and then they could feasibly have a working prototype within a few weeks at most. The ammunition question was a simple 'yes' since ammunition types for such were already in production by Panem and more limitedly by smaller ammunition companies and subsidiaries of the various corpos present.
Affirmations given and the changes noted down by the group, they'd then be ready to move onto the next weapons.

Palfi was satisfied with the current results. As expected, outsourcing to foreign companies was already proving very fruitful. Little doubt remained that he would leave this site disappointed as he moved on to the light machine guns and submachine guns. First off, he naturally needed the bullet calibers to match that of the rifles and pistols, but given these were companies that supplied the Rombardan military, they should have that under lockdown. Light machine guns needed to have a decent magazine size and retain a certain threshold of portability and reliability while putting down range at a steady pace. For this, he added the criteria of a large thirty-round magazine, as well as a need for a minimum fire rate no less than 450 rounds a minute and an effective range of 95 meters above. Submachine guns meanwhile only needed to be fast-firing and have a simple design that would allow them an ease of manufacture. Environmental issues would be prevalent, he realized, so he added a need for reliability.
He wasn't as sure due to the more strict needs of the weapons that might instead make them heavier, but he decided to simply watch and see how the trials went.

There was actually only two or so LMGs of which the companies had brought with them. Because LMGs were something that the Rombardan military had adopted fairly recently within the last two decades and their original designs had been more or less copies of others, the only two organically Rombardan LMGs were both fairly recent to introduction and use within the Rombardan military were the 'Zoomer' made by OBA, and the 'Cataphract Breaker', which was made by Ballista, and naturally was noticeably larger, if still portable enough it could be feasibly carried by one or two men in a machine gun team.
Submachine guns had more variety, as Panem had actually gotten into that market early with its subsidiaries to help them, and so they had several models of which they could offer. Ballista arms had a few, and OBA had one or two as OBA itself had always been more fixated on producing bolt actions and semi-automatic rifles and sidearms. Many of them were on the older side, but they seemed to be reliable enough that they were being fielded for the tests. While the older ones had wooden furniture, the newer models were almost all metal however, and while stocks and some furniture could be swapped for wooden pieces generally they would probably have to redesign a model to specifically incorporate wooden furniture for Far Elenria, of which they likely wouldn't mind.
The Zoomer, first of the LMG's to go up, exceeds the expectations for range and is moderately accurate, a fairly small cone of fire allowing it to house things down out to about 500m. The RPM was about 5-600 rounds per minute, which usually suited the Rombardans just fine. The CB was a noticeable difference of course. Its ammunition was noticeably larger than just the usual rifle ammo used by the Zoomer, and it had a greater range, but at the cost of a bit of accuracy, the cone of fire being a bit wider out to about 500m. Both guns were able to hit out to further though as demonstrations went on, their general maximum effective range being about 1000m but the absolute maximum firing range was about 4000m, being very generous. The Ballista arms one can reach further out, but not with a great chance of landing a hit.
Both were usually fed by hand with a belt of ammunition from a box, but magazines and drum mags were present as well, the drums usually having about 75 rounds in them and belts being links of about 65 rounds.

The light machine guns were very promising, though the Zoomer seemed to do the best out of all the guns. He'd have it inspected, figuring to change out the magazines for 30-round box magazines instead, making the ammunition easier for support teams amongst rifle companies. A belt would help only if the gun had some obnoxiously high fire rate and even then he'd received horror stories from agents in the Elenria of their own machine gun belts responding poorly in weather, deforming and jamming guns. No, a magazine would simply be preferable for its cost, reliability, and weight in his mind. Neither the CB nor the Ballista entry had the Zoomer's level of accuracy of a 500m effective range, and figuring how much of the tactics that were planned for whatever the politicians had to come would likely end up being deployed with small pockets of troops with limited equipment and numbers, the conservation of resources was paramount. Nevertheless, he would make a note to purchase a number of the Ballista LMGs, just for the sake of tinkering- he'd ask if the barrel and action could be improved, making the accuracy at least somewhat better. Even if its improvement was not enough, the gun's design itself would be good practice and study for the engineering schools.
The General was fairly appreciative of the versatility the companies offered, submitting a fairly specific criteria. The gun would need to be effective at least to 150 meters, where it would serve its role in the close assault role. For this, he needed a fast-firing, reliable gun that could fulfill a magazine size of at least 25 or 30 rounds while remaining well-balanced. The last things the soldiers needed, Palfi figured, was the gun jamming just as they needed it most. After additional consideration, he'd add a request for rounds with high stopping power- preferably a larger round. The wooden furniture he'd leave fine- it'd leave the weapon lighter for the Far-Elenrian hands wielding them.

They'd generally agree that the weapons could be improved and the alterations that they requested could be made. Most of what he wanted was actually fairly easily doable. The CB would as well be something they were willing to experiment with, though they'd likely need more time than they would with the zoomer to adapt it to be more accurate and so on.
They'd be ready to move on at this point.
