The City of Hikablum traces its foundation at around four millennium ago. This is where the records of House Hikablum begin. Starting out as a small farming town it slowly expanded as people moved in. Due to their naturally almost infinite lifespans the [vampires] ruled the small settlement and protected it. This naturally drew in more settlers. As time passed a castle was built for defenses and walls built and torn down as the city expanded. As the threats from the outside world became clear due to raiders it was decided to wall the valley off. Massive fortifications were built and towns sprung out of them in order to maintain them. Eventually these towns became cities in their own right as they expanded towards the original. Eventually the entire valley was filled by the city. The walls ensured that no one could threaten the peace inside. This turned the city into a thriving market and the city began to pursue trade, leveraging their large workforce and purchasing power.
