Shiraori couldn't help but laugh a little to herself being called out so directly. "That is a fair question Yaromir-kan. I will be honest, as that is what you have asked for." She tapped her foreleg softly on the ground in front of her and let go of her daughter's thigh. "It is no secret that Kumosenkan has a... less than favorable image in the international community. We are seen as oppressors, hunters of sapients, and rapists of Touli. It has gone so far that we have even been blamed for the hostile actions of the Mestrians. All of these assumptions stab at my heart. Your letter gave me a glimmer of hope. That perhaps we can still be seen as we truly are. In the act of helping your nation recover, the world may come to see us as you do. Not as oppressors, but as helpers."
With a facade of true gratitude, she looked into the eyes of Niadsa. "I am thankful for the opportunity. After the kindness you showed us I don't think I could stand to see your people continuing to suffer. You should be rewarded for ridding the world of a wretch like Romanov, not punished." Shiraori managed to force a tear to fall down her cheek. "It truly would be our honor to aid you in your time of need."

Between the laugh and the tear, the three sat stunned for but a moment, Niadsa once again being the first to recollect herself. She struggled to find the words for a moment, looking downwards towards the table instead of meeting Shiraori's eyes, still processing the mental equivalent of a freight train hitting her pet, eventually mustering the chain of thought to start speaking again. "A-again, I must thank you for your kind words." She trailed off for a moment, finally bringing her pupils to stare back at Shiraori, her eyes darting to decide which pair of crimson-colored orbs to meet. Whatever tactic Shiraori had decided to employ on her visitors, it was working, as Niadsa couldn't find the deception between the lines of her mannerisms and words.
"It's a p-pleasure to a-assist in such a-an endeavor, ridding Ouhiri of this false a-assumption." She recollected herself as she spoke, fixing her stutter. "Our p-people would be greatly appreciative of such help. Believe me when I say that our people would be more than grateful for such help, and I am certain our military assets would be as well." She finished speaking, having given time for Semyon to recollect himself, before passing it to him.
"Pomazanniki prides itself in its land army. We boast numbers in peace that most do not dream of in war, and we flex training in every soldier we possibly can." He said, feigning a soft smile. "In any possible way they can help you, they will be ready and willing, be it in Mestria or Elenria."

Shiraori, with a warm smile, matched Niadsa's gaze and pressed her hand to her chest. "The kindness of the Pomaz knows no bounds, I see." She took her hand from her chest and wiped away the tear that fell to her chin. "We can begin trading for resources immediately. Whatever you need most, I am certain we can provide it. Should it help, I am certain we can commission Kumo companies to more directly aid your nation, be it reconstruction, or simply providing employment. I am confident most companies would be happy to expand into your nation to provide jobs and resources."
"As far as the Confederation is concerned, I pray to all my ancestors that the issue of Mestria will not come to need military intervention. In an effort to aid in favor of a peaceful resolution between their nation and mine, you could make an open statement as we have? Perhaps seeing a nation so different from ours also speak out against their acts could help stem the flow of their hostility." Shiraori acted as if she were musing in the moment, despite this being one of her primary objectives for this meeting. "I would consider it a great personal favor if you were willing to do so."

"That seems more than arrangeable," Semyon spoke before Niadsa could reply. "The Mestrians already have slighted us in trade, during our time of need. As for resources, we're in dire need of raw resources. A vast majority of the mines across our nation were destroyed by Tsarist forces during the revolution. We haven't had the equipment to clear them out up until recently," He spoke, realizing what he had unintentionally led the conversation to. "Of which, we are still in great need of."
Niadsa interrupted Semyon while he was speaking. "If we are to be allies, then we must be truthful about some of our equipment. I do not know how well Kumosenkan and Amali fare in relations, but I cannot imagine that they have been charitable towards you. Amali was one of our benefactors during the revolution and we are indebted to them, both in the fields of honor and in economics."

"Kumosenkan is rather rich in raw resources." Shiraori informed, "Thanks of course to the Elenrian Prefecture. One of our excavation companies in all likelihood could aid in the clearing of the destroyed mines. You need not worry about where you get your equipment. Despite how much Amali despises Kumosenkan the feeling is not mutual." She lied as easily as she breathed, "We take no issue with garnering aid where ever you can find it. The easier and faster your recovery, the better for everyone."
A handful of maids walked into the dining room each carrying a platter of food. They placed one in front of each of the members present at the meeting. "We can discuss the finer details later, for now, let us enjoy the meal."
