“Of course, and the crown will likely order the deployment of Zedonian battalions to support protecting the rail line. What does Mil’Nor need?”

"Anything you can offer for sale we will probably buy, but we were looking to see about the establishment of a Valderan airforce. Your planes value as scouts alone would be crucial to our movements concerning the Xagreau, and with the pilots training from this conflict, we shall be well on our way towards a modern airforce on Touli."

“We can sell you some of our Siskin biplanes. They’re being phased out of service soon so they’ll be available to ship over. We can sell a good 40 units to have decommissioned and sent overseas.”

"That'd be more then helpful, all things considered. I'd also ask about the possibility of aid in establishing an airfield in the north. The UKUG may retain ownership of the base for the duration, with the Valderan government being handed said base once the Xagreau threat has been taken care of."

Ambassador Scofield would make his schedule cleared out to meet with the Valderans. The UKUG embassy had overtime become very well adjusted to the new location, the staff were enjoying their stay in Mil'Nor, though they learned quickly to never leave anything unattended for long periods of time.

Kathrine Tolvaj arrived at the embassy once the meeting was arranged. The Mil'Nor who worked alongside the embassy staff seemed often appreciative of the foreigners presence, the Xagreau war having caused a great deal of suspicion to fade with the UKUG's involvement. Joined by Elder Tzu, the Deacon gave a smile to the receptionist as she spoke. "Hello there, we have a meeting with a Ambassador Scofield, is he available?"

The receptionist smiled and warmly said, "Of course, let me take you to his office, I think he's waiting for you."
She walked the Valderan onto the second floor through a flight of stairs and into a small hallway, she knocked on a wooden door which was followed by a muffled, 'come in'. Inside Scofield would be found behind his desk typing on a typewriter, "Ah Mrs. Tolvaj, just a moment please. Samantha please get our guest something to drink." The receptionist would ask if Tolvaj wanted anything as Scofield finished up his paper and added it to a small stack, "Please have these mailed via the train up North to Sepedia. And get me some coffee."
Scofield sat back down behind his desk adjusting himself, "Now, how can I help you?"

"To start, I am sure you have heard about the recent Kumo aggression towards the Kingdom of Franerre." She replied, taking her seat along with Elder Tzu. The Inselni seemed eyed the Ambassador once before closing his eyes, leaving Kathrine to continue. "While we stand in no position to openly oppose the Spider, we would like to begin talks at the very least in furthering the relationship between our two nations. Their handling of both the UST treaty and now this invasion has proven what rumors I have heard over the years."

Scofield raised an eyebrow, "What rumors have you heard about Kumosenkan?"

"To put it plainly Ambassador, that their greed is insatiable." Kathrine answered "They have made a habit of violating the sovereignty of nations over the years, which has drawn a newfound concern among those on our Council. Thus we would like to arrange a guarantee of mutual defense should war come to the people of Valdera or those of the UKUG and her colonies. While we may not be able to offer you the best military aid, our raw material output would be a great aid in the provision of any war machine."

Scofield nodded, though surprised to hear this news. "I'll have to get this approved by Parliament and signed off by the King, but what you're suggesting is a proper Mutual Defense military treaty and expanded trade deal. I don't see how this could be turned down so let's discuss in detail what the UKUG and Valderan Republic can do for one another."

"To begin, the completion of our rail project has opened up a great deal of possible investment into mines and extractors in deepest reaches of our borders." Kathrine said, the Deacon more than pleased with Scofield's assurances. "Investment into new mining operations along the rail lines will see safe return now that Xagreau has been defeated, and we can offer a great deal of raw material and precious metals already for purchase. As for our military, the effectiveness of aeroplane on the battlefield cannot be ignored. We would like to discuss the possibility of further airbase construction alongside our northern coast."
"As for the treaty, we would like to keep the Kumo in the dark about this. My father unfortunately held a more 'optimistic' view of them, and until the web he has gotten Valdera stuck in can be untangled, their appeasement must be kept in mind." Kathrine said, a hint of annoyance heard in her voice.

"Of course, pending they don't have agents in Parliament or the Emerald Palace the news will be rather kept under wraps. The UKUG will increase railway projects from Mil'Nor into the Kithium League as the return investment has been extremely lucrative. Any other projects needed let me know, but Mil'Nor will likely become our primary export supplier of metals, raw materials from this new agreement."

"A role we are more happy to take, given the other option. I would like to discuss a particular detail of our future military cooperation's. Due to our nation already having a currently appeased relationship with the spider, we are more then willing to offer news of their fleet movements along with potential access to their weapons programs." Adjusting her glasses, the woman continued "If nothing else, I doubt there won't be a few secrets to be spilled from their web"
