"Embassies are doable. I will bring that up to the Army Command Staff but I don't know how comfortable they'll feel with it." She'd say.
"I don't know much. I was largely educated in math and military theory, rather than foreign diplomacy and statecraft unlike my sisters." She would reply. "I know of Mil'Nor and that it is made up of clans, and that there are at least two notable clans present within the Eastern parts of the League. I was just never taught who they were."

"To make a long story slightly shorter, there are three Clans of Mil'Nor. Gruvar, who holds the west and makes up the majority of those living within the League, Meiyo, who lives on the eastern coast, and Tolvaj, which rule from the north of the country and who I call my own. I'm not sure how much of our own struggles has spread out amongst the world, but when a new High Chief is chosen, he is voted into office by the Chief of each Clan, and given the approval of the Elders. We will soon see another High Chief rise, and I am not too sure who it will be. Rest assured that I've done what I can on my end, but I would like to ask a favor from the League." He'd let the words hang as he took a breath.
"I ask that the Empress support Clan Gruvar and their nominee, if any requests for aide are given. There are two who may be chosen, but I do not know if it will be better in the moment for Chief Dravos to lead my people forward or for my chosen heir to take the place. Suffice to say, Meiyo has been clamoring for power since their defeat in the last great civil war that ravaged the country fifty years ago. Chief Talamore will do whatever he can to claim what he see's as rightfully his...and I'd rather neither of our people suffer due to his misconceptions of the world."

"Then I will relay the message to my mother. Though you may want to write that down on a piece of paper, because she'll want to have that message somewhere she can read it." She would tell him. "But as for my personal support of the Clan of Gruvar, it has it. The support of Clan Gaalsian for Gruvar is likely, assured."

"The arrangement's of such documentation on the subject will be made. There is one other matter I would like to discuss. With the winter season, we are willing to have an Ice Breaker sent across to your service. This gesture of good faith will be sent with the arrangements of dual citizenship for the men which are sent. They will offer training and escort to your navies. I am sure by no doubt you have heard of our attempts to favor curry favor with the Kumo. If we are to truly work together, then I just we both understand then roles we must play in the defense of another, yes? Treat these men well, and they will aid you in any endeavor your ask."
The elder took another sip of his tea, a cough escaping him after the initial sip. Decently recovered, the elder tried to finish the rest of his sip as best he could, a breath taken as he spoke again. "Unless you have anything else to add, your highness, I can see nothing else but to let our scribes work."

"While we are interested, and yes I am very sure they'd be favorable, but at the moment I advise against it. Right now the League army is using that ice to cross to Razu. It is vital that it remain unbroken and as well, it will not be a safe area until the island is retaken. As it stands we can wait until the ice thaws and Razu is in our hold again."
"I am not entirely sure how I feel about getting close to Kumosenkan, though it isn't my place to question it - my mother will decide how she feels and how to proceed thusly from it." She'd rest her hands on her lap. "We treat your men well, and vice versa."
"I would believe so. Would you like some food? My chef came with me here and she's been in the town all day trading for ingredients for a decent meal." She'd say.

"An understandable reasoning. As for the Spider? We do not seek to fall as the Elenrian's have, but when we have to choose between them or any other of the powers, they seem best suited to the needs of our people. I can understand your hesitance on the matter, young one, but it is at least something you should be learning from. We will await word from your mother on the matter, as is desired."
His face brightened at her final offer, the man giving a genuine smile dispelled of at least a few of those years he wore. "I'd be delighted in the opportunity. Ever since my father worked to open my homeland, it has been a wonder to not taste what others could offer with food. If we could leave the diplomacy aside a few days, I must admit i had planned to stay within the city and rest a bit. We can review the drafts as they as made and work on a final we are both happy with."

The innately more Roskanan worldview that the Princess carried was a result of decades of learning and living under a society dominated by values that even under the Tsar had always stressed a sort of self-determination and pride. Roskana had only really once in its collective history been subjugated by foreign powers, and it'd been Verak - the League had been founded by one but by its very nature, a virtually independent country anyway. She'd not speak much from it or with it at the forefront of her mind, nor really at all, but she would simply nod her head in reply to their statement, even if being told to learn from it mildly miffed the feline.
"I don't think I'd mind that at all. I was hoping to spend the night at an Inn in the city too, don't feel like camping anymore." She chuckles. "I think we could leave the diplomacy aside for a little while. I'll have one of my guards come to your camp to tell you all when we're about to start cooking - unless you'd like to come and take some spaces in the Inn."

"Then it is decided. We'll resume our talks tomorrow, while we rest from the journey today." The Elder rose slowly from his seat, picking up his cane in the process as he'd gesture towards the tent flap. "I'll inform my scribes to begin drawing up the terms. Shall we meet at the Inn within the hour?"

"That is agreeable." She'd nod her head. "I'll see you there." She'd stand, and make her way from the tent.

Obsillia 3rd, 1932 New Raltera, Capital City of the Republic of Valdera. Foreign Quarter
Kathrine Mengele had a problem. Some little idiotic ant who styled himself as a "president" had decided he was going to puff his chest like he was worth a damn. The problem? He was seeming to pick Valdera as its target.
Stuck with this issue, there had been a obvious answer to the Deacon. Crush the Ant. If nothing else, he was going to be a useful tool for the woman. The nation was still recovering from the loss of the High Chief, and while the nobles of Meiyo had been largely compliant with the government, the people still had yet to find a true sense of unity behind the Republic. The Clans had always been at each other's throats from competition between each other, and it could be difficult to move past old grudges so easily. ~
~ She'd be brought out of her thoughts by a voice. "Are you ok Ma'am? You look a little...tense" The voice of her pupil wrung out again, the woman breaking her gaze from outside the carriage as it arrived at the Kithium Embassy within the Foreign Quarter Per the agreement signed in Nils Tolvaj's name, the Kithium had been given their own building within the city. Sited next to both the local garrison and the Representative Offices, the Valderan government had given great deal of care in it's construction. The woman shook her head as the doorman open the door of the facing the embassy, exiting along with her pupil as the two began their way inside. "It's nothing, just lost in thought. We need to discuss recent events with the Kith anyway, keep your ears open and your mouth shut."

The Kithium would check them briefly at the gate, and then summon a guide. Once the Festria guide arrived, they'd be led through the building, given a sort of short tour before they would come to the doors that led into the hall of which the meeting would be taking place in. The Kithium ambassador was already present, and two Royal Guard would be present as well, the two of them pulling seats out for the two Valderans to sit in. Once they took their seats, the Guards stepped off to the sides of the room and would come to rest their backs to the wall, holding Gaelian bolt-action rifles at their sides and wearing the traditional Kithium garb.
The Ambassador would welcome them both. "Hello, miss Mengele. It's a pleasure." She'd say, the Kithium standing up. "I hope your trip and the tour went well. How can we help you today?" She asks them, leaning forwards and resting her elbows on the table, lacing her fingers together as she looks at Mengele.

The woman and her pupil gave a nod of acknowledgement to the Ambassador as they entered the office. Sorva had pulled out a notebook when he sat down, with the lad taking notes as soon as the meeting began. Kathrine gave a slight sigh before she'd speak. "While I can say the same to see you Ambassador, the news I bring is less then helpful for all involved. We have had reports of Xagreau mobilizing their forces on our border, and we believe they think to strike the people of Valdera. I'm sure you have been informed to some degree of it's president's 'View' on both the Kithium's and Mil'Nor's existance on Touli, and while we understand your possible inability to directly aid us due to the war in the UST, we felt this information would be needed in the hands of close neighbors"

She would start to speak, but a moment later she stopped. She would turn her eyes to the door as her ear twitched, the sensitive feline triangle atop their head angling in that direction before the door was even open, with a aide speed walking in with a note. They'd hand it to them, and quickly depart, closing the door behind them. She'd read it, and then a moment later set it down.
"..Up until a moment ago I would have said the opposite, but as it stands.. It seems that we're no longer in as good a position as we expected." She'd say. "The League's been invaded. We're mobilizing in full to respond with maximum force to the invasion but as it stands we really don't have the ability to refocus our military from territorial defense as it stands. However we may be able to assist you once the invasion is beaten back." She'd tell them.
"As for Xagreau.. we're sure that we can relatively easily support an action against them." She'd say. "But as I said, the situation in my homeland takes precedence. As well.. they did write this last part in for you. Essentially it'san invocation of the mutual defense agreement written into the treaty." She'd say quietly, sliding it over to her.

"You'd be please to know we had already counted on that, in some part at least. A force of twenty five thousand has been sent along with some of our finest ships to try and put this thing to an end." Kathrine said "Beyond that, we shall see to a conscription for another hundred thousand men for deployment for the League's use. I suspect you might see an outpour of support among our Clanmates residing within your own lands, with our to be offical declaration. I ask that news of our call be delayed until the moment best presents itself. I'd like to spin this as much as a rush to aid our ally then anything else for us."

"That works for me and I imagine it'll work for the league. If we destroy the UST's army, and then perhaps they'll suggest a counter-attack against the south. And then.. well, once that's done, we can pivot our army north and destroy your enemy." She'd say. "I cannot offer anything else at this time however."
