"Very well then. I suggest you send out scouts to find the enemy force marching towards us and gauge their numbers, as while we begin our march to Noscovo. We should stick to the shore and lure the enemy into the range of the naval guns. If it goes according to plan, we would barely have any work to do before we actually get to Noscovo."
With the plan set, the Marines would get ready to move out together with the rebels. It was time to end this war.

"We have been assisting the Tafatu in their struggle for independence in the north of the Union," General Lumine explained, "Any foe of the Union is a friend of ours. We have 20,000 men we can bring ashore to assist in the fighting here, as well as nearly the entire Franerri navy assigned to the war. Our allies, the Ashinarans, are making similar landings in the port of Zhest Gav where we believe there are more rebel forces to join with. Give us a map and tell us where the Union is, and we'll join your cause, so long as you help us march to Noscovo and finally bring an end to this bloody war."

Otuka led his forces along the shore as suggested, the tribal warriors of South Touli armed with various Kumo rifles and UST weapons taken from the local armory were ready to end this war, it was a genocidal and devastating conflict for the old ways of Touli. Khoza was busy setting up a state for the people in the new republic in Le Troi leaving Otuka in charge of the army.
Scouts reported a UST force about roughly 20,000 men digging in. Otuka was startled by the small force, "Okeena is running out of men." They positioned themselves to strike with Ashinara naval support and relayed their findings. It was time to begin the Last Campaign.

Fong relayed to the Frannerre the plan to seize the Western portion of the city and use a locomotive to drive right into Novya Buhkta's heavily fortified defenses. "We're gonna miss the fight. Let's get moving" Fong said.

With the intel passed to the messengers who would take the information to the battleships, 12 mighty 12-inch guns would turn to face the shore. Now everything had to be timed right to not hit friendly troops.
General Verlivesky met with Otuka to discuss the plan of attack. The naval bombardment would begin shelling the enemy positions. If they haven't finished digging in yet, that should provide a devastating blow. In the meantime, the Otuka's 30,000 force shall march on the UST position. The Ashinaran Marines, in the meantime, shall hook around the side closer to the shore, setting themselves up to hit the UST on the side, potentially cutting off their retreat as well. The bombardment would last exactly 1 hour, in which both UST and Ashinaran forces will have to get close enough to begin their attack, but still be far enough to not be hit by the shelling. As soon as the shelling stops, the forces would charge the enemy position.
Before the beginning of the operation, 4 machine gun teams, along with their heavy machine guns, would join Otuka's force to provide suppression fire when the main attack begins.

As the Franerri infantry and artillery poured into port and loaded onto the train, a question was raised. "How much damage to the city are you willing to accept?" Admiral Baudelaire asked Fong, "My naval guns could soften up any Union defenses, but they would damage the city, and potentially the tracks. If the Union is as heavily fortified as you say, well, the collateral may be worth it. I simply have no idea what's in the city, or how important it could be."

Otuka's forces settled waiting for the Ashinara naval strike, once it began they moved toward the UST forces. Many of them now armed with rifles and no longer using spears and bows opened fire across a wide open countryside against Union soldiers startled at the sudden attack. "Cut them down!" Otuka cried out, the UST forces attempted to hole up and send riders to Noscovo that the enemy was launching an attack. But they couldn't pinpoint where they were getting artillery support from as they took heavy losses. The bottom of the barrel troops wore civilian clothing with arm bands of blue instead of full uniforms showing the UST army was now desperate.

The Bian forces had finished with the train and were ready for the next phase of the operation, "We plan to annex the city, so doing alot of damage isn't ideal. But maybe Frannerre naval firepower will make the battle short." Fong relayed this to Zhang who was preparing for the assault of Novya Buhkta.

A short while before the bombardment began, and the whole hour that it lasted, the Ashinaran Marines have proceeded to move North-Eeast to wedge themselves between the UST force and the road to Noscovo. Setting up machine guns they would start shooting in their enemy's side, while sharpshooters took aim at the riders that the enemy tried to send to Noscovo - with a few of their own Scouts galloped off to intercept the enemy riders. Unlike the regular Army, the Marines were more highly trained, and much more vicious in combat. They would take all steps necessary to prevent Noscovo from knowing that their force is where it is. Once they saw Otuka's force charge, so did the Marines, bayonets fixed. Their advance was more tactical than general infantry charges, however, with men giving their comrades covering fire, and utilizing the slight variations in the landscape to their advantage. As they closed the distance to the enemy position, they have also greatly spread out, reducing the effectiveness of volleys or machine gun fire against themselves.
