Following the passage and ratification of the Eonivelt Recognition Act, the Lusatian Foreign Ministry reached out to the Eonivelt government, informing them about the Act, and the new embassy reserved in the capital for any ambassadors Eonivelt wished to send.

Eonivelt was shocked at the recognition but the government moved quickly to capitalize on the opportunity. As such Nori would be sent to Lusatia, and would request a meeting with the Foreign Ministry. After all it was time to make a good impression hopefully. Nori was a member of the Vichin branch of the Ains and as such was considered one of the better choices for ambassador as she both represented the government's position and wasn't to much of a radical for the rest of the world.

The Foreign Ministry scheduled a meeting with the Eonivelt Ambassador, and when the time came for the first meeting between representatives of each nation, rather than the Foreign Minister having the inaugural meeting with the ambassadors, it was the Deputy Foreign Minister, Wiktor Zieliński, of the Agrarians, who met Nori.
When the time came for the meeting, to be held in Wiktor's office, Wiktor would introduce himself with a handshake, and offer the Eonivelt Ambassador something to drink (the offered beverages being coffee, tea, and water), and soon get down to business.
"I'm glad we're able to meet today, Ambassador Nori, and though the Prime Minister had ordered a 'lesser member of government' to meet with you, I would like to state that the Foreign Minister and myself both protested the idea, as we suspect that the Prime Minister has reasons other than the official one of 'our nations are historical rivals,' if you know what I mean. Regardless, I assure you anything we discuss here will be relayed to the Foreign Minister when next he is available. That being said, if my notes are correct, your government requested the meeting with ours, so what is it you'd like to discuss?"

Nori would shake Wiktor's hand and accept the tea. "Yes, I apologize if I am a little more, inexperienced, than what you're used to. We were hoping that for starters we could get a new embassy built? Eonivelt is not a continuation of Luclistan so we would rather not inherit their buildings. The other thing we'd like to discuss is potential trade. Our economy is just getting off the ground and sadly the old Shah ran off with the national treasury, so we're a little rough around the edges as it stands."

"I'll put a request in with those in the ministry responsible for embassy assignments for foreign nations, and see if there is an empty space that can be used for your embassy, otherwise, we might have to make temporary arrangements while a new location is constructed."
"As for trade, there were several old trade deals Lusatia had with Luclistan, and while they would probably need some renegotiation, we've not found too many buyers for the materials no longer exported."
"While I believe our prime export to Luclistan was food, reports indicate that Eonivelt is pretty self-sufficient on food, due to the Revolution causing your nation a severe population deficit. However, I'm sure you've done research on what else Lusatia exports. If there's anything you need to buy that we have in surplus, we'll look into making it available for purchase on the market."
"Similarly, for payment, we can either set up a credit line for your country, or accept an equivalently valued amount of chromium or uranium in exchange. We'd also be interested in buying the uranium, in particular, outright."

Nori would nod. "Currently our main goal is to rebuild the national treasury. If you're interested we would be willing to work out a deal where we trade chromium and other things for gold. That way we can establish our actual currency as valid."

"If it is gold which you desire, we can afford to part with up to about 40% of our yearly mined gold without causing too much inflation in our nation, if you'd similarly make available for purchase at least 33% of your annual chromium output. If you end up buying more gold than we purchase in chromium, we'll not make you repay the trade deficit immediately, while you'd still be working to create a backbone for your economy, and if we purchase more chromium than the value of gold we sell you, we shall pay in cash, which is backed by our gold reserves, though I'll ask you don't redeem the gold immediately to prevent inflation from a sudden removal of gold from our nation's reserves."
"Obviously, if we spend as much on chromium as you buy gold, then no arrangement needs to be made in terms of future payment, though us establishing credit lines with each other would serve a slow introduction of your currency to outside markets, which might also help stabilize it further along in the future, as well, after what would probably be a decent-sized shock as the currency realigns itself to whatever its true value is."
[OOC: Lusatia will make 20 Gold available for export, and Eonivelt will make 32 Chromium available for export.]

"We can agree to this arrangement. Now for creating a credit line, well we do need to discuss the potential of switching to a currency based trade rather than a good based trade, and how to establish it."

"Of course. If you ever want to reintegrate with the world's economy, it is important to move away from goods-based trade. To some extent, having gold to back up your currency should help, and lines of credit via other nations should mean that other nations become invested in Eonivelt's well-being. To that end, Lusatia is prepared to offer an (reasonably) unrestricted credit line to Eonivelt. If you need to buy something from us, simply ask, and any deficit you incur will become part of the credit line. We won't directly charge you until you've built up a gold reserve and your currency's value is no longer a hypothetical value, at which point we'll set up an official debt repayment plan, at a sustainable rate for all involved."
"At least, if we can get the credit plan past the Prime Minister. He should accept if you leave today expecting to have access to a repayment-free period of trade with Lusatia, as he loathes going against his word more than he loathes your country, but if he still attempts to block it, we might have to threaten the stability of the coalition instead to get him to approve the credit line, which will probably result in some concession in regards to domestic politics, most likely a backing-off on further concessions to the Civil Rights Movement until after the next elections, if it is politically feasible to do so."
"However, it shouldn't go that far, as to be completely honest, more than anything, the Prime Minister really just wants to pretend Eonivelt doesn't exist. The less he has to deal with issues regarding your nation in cabinet meetings, the happier he is. To that end, he might just allow the credit line without too much debate simply because he won't see the debate as worth his time."

"Well as it stands we don't need anything pressing, though we will certainly keep that in mind." As the Deputy Minister talked Nori shrugged a little. "Well our government is a little more easier to manage. The Consuls can pretty much get anything they want passed."

The Deputy Minister smiled at the mention of the Consuls, and responded, "I'd imagine it'd be pretty easy to get what you want when you are the faces of the Revolution. I doubt there's not a single Eoni in your country who doesn't know what your Consuls have done for your nation." He chuckled for a bit, "Asides from those too young to understand, that is."
"Alas, here in Lusatia, the time of heroes and strong leaders is past: men like King Petyr the Conciliator, or Prime Minister Miklas Skversky, men who saw the bigger picture, men who dared to dream. We're now left with worldly, flawed men who don't know all the answers. We certainly try our best, but I suspect it is the fate of democracies to churn out weak leaders in times of plenty and of peace."

"There is that yes," Nori said nodding in agreement. "The Consuls are generally considered the saviors of the Eoni, though they reject such claims themselves. They want to be seen as equals to other politicians, but I doubt that will happen."
"I hope what you say isn't entirely true. We hope our Republic will be able to last, though we wouldn't turn down the plenty and peace that you are suggesting either. We have never had either."

"Despite what I said, I'm inclined to believe republics or elective governments, in general, are still more stable long-term than autocratic governments, where one bad ruler can ruin everything. In elected governments, it takes a string of mistakes over several years for disaster to occur."
"Enough depressing talk, though. Is there anything else I can help you with, or is that all? I've got to find someone who can help resolve your embassy issue, and I'm sure you'd like to meet some of the Eoni who live here in Lusatia, in the meantime."
"Earlier this year, Dr. Marcin King, a reverend in the Church, had a march in this city, and ever since, there's been some kind of peaceful protest action or another somewhere in the city. If you wish to meet some of the protesters, who I'm sure would like to talk with a member of the Eonivelt government, you might wish to go visit the Old City. That's where the latest round of dining counter sit-ins have been, and there's plenty of support amongst the student population who frequent the area, too."

"I'll definitely do some sight seeing. It's my first time out of country and we're trying to meet with everyone who is willing, in order to ensure peace."

"Well, in that case, I'll get to work. Thanks for coming, today, and if you need a guide to lead you to the Old City, there should be an official near my office who will be ready to guide you, if you wish."
If that was all, Wiktor Zieliński would open the door for Nori, and wait for her to leave, and, after she did, he called the construction company responsible for building foreign embassies, and inquired as to whether there was an available embassy for Eonivelt to use, instead of the old Luclistani embassy. After receiving confirmation that there was, in fact, one, he summoned an aide to fill out the paperwork to get the building assigned to Eonivelt. As that was being done, he left to go inform the Foreign Minister of the results of the meeting.
