Amelia had sent out the request for heads of state in the CNRC to come to Auran for a emergency meeting, of which Amelia would be heading herself. The topics ranged but several of the most important were clear, and as well she had stated she had a plan already underway but that she required the entirety of the CNRC to be aboard for to ensure it'd work, and to as well ensure Coalition wide benefits.
And so Amelia was now solidly sat in a chair in a meeting room beneath the presidential office, staring at a wall as she smoked another black-coated cigarette, laced with stimulants. She'd been up for three days and soon it'd be a forth, and while she was focused for now, once this meeting was over there was no chance she'd be going anywhere for almost a week, given that she'd have to recover for two days and well.. she didn't feel like leaving the house after she was done here - the instructions she gave were clear that she would be given four days to herself after this was all said and done.
But before that she needed her colleagues to arrive so she could get things rolling.

The Pionare would arrive in no short order. A slightly puzzled look on her face as she entered the room. She'd give a stressed but pleasant smile, "Already in the fire, huh?"

"My doctor says that I risk a brain hemorrhage if I stay up any longer. But because I'm dumb as bricks here I am, sitting in the pan before I go back into the fire."
She'd cross her legs, sparking another cigarette. "Sit down." She'd say, gesturing to a seat nearby the fox. "You've heard of the formation of thr Sovereign union, yeah?"

"Yea, I already started some motions to bring the Army up to snuff." She'd sit down and lean forward onto the table, "And recently an ISO agent came upon some... troubling news. The Galrans are helping Grinvel make tanks, probably safe to say that Verak is getting the same deal."

"I wish I actually had bothered to deploy the special tasks group for something worthwhile rather than using them as glorified Stasi." She'd say, tossing the other by now burnt-down bud to her side. "Not like any fucking Tsarists haven't basically disappeared or become too old to be a threat by now."
"I heard whispers about Galra potentially providing them aid in fields of that nature but I was more so figuring it'd be broader.. do you know anything else? I've heard rumors of potential Semi-automatic rifles for their military from Galra, rather than the straight-pulls we were expecting initially." She'd ask them, crossing her legs and leaning back in her seat, the chair creaking as the hinge was stressed by the weight of a almost eight foot tall Karrashi woman.

She'd shake her head, "No, I sent them in to look for an inkling of any sign of new equipment and that's all they came back with. We'll have to run on guesswork until we send someone in again, though we've decided to run a program to make our own anyway. Has the DoD sent you all the plans for the IR-31 yet?"

"I wouldn't know." She replies. "I've been neck-deep, and that's a feat by the way, in diplomatic endeavors that I never figured Roskana would be making." She'd lean forwards in her seat again, sighing and blowing the blue smoke out of her mouth as she did. "Which is actually why you're here. Shame that the Archon could not make it but.. truth be told, without us the Archon and Maiz is kind of screwed so they'll likely go with this anyway."
"I've spent the past five days working around a plan to ensure that when, Not If - When, this war breaks out Roskana will be able to weather the storm and then push back against it. But this hinges on several things, and the first and worst of which is that I've had to break one of the longest-standing rules we established, even if not written then more so in spirit. Reaching out to, and potentially partnering with dictatorial or monarchist regimes." She'd toss the now burnt bud of the cigarette into the trashcan, pouring a glass of water on it after.
"The first of which is going to be Seleucidania. We have a common enemy with them. They're also an absolutely massive country, and given that they're also part of the Entente this means that they'll be an important stepping-stone to getting us into a coalition with them. As well, I'm working on getting diplomatic relations with Lusatia from 'static' to 'Good and Workable'. And.. also trying to buy aircraft from the UKUG but I haven't heard back from them yet."

"I'd like to think the UKUG is actually a good exception, not perfect but definitely good. But I digress. I agree, working with them is a good idea for sure."
"I'll double-check after this to make sure the plans were copied and sent your way with some finished models. As for the tank issue itself, we're going to try and outproduce them along with some other projects."

"The UKUG is as speciest and Racist as Kumosenkan just not as blunt and oppressive. Fundamentally if I had to choose I'd go with the UKUG, but right now I'm still considering making nice with Kumosenkan too. Hell, we may very well have to. There's no feasible way to counter a navy of at least thirteen thousand plus ships with only.. what, maybe 3000? If we're lucky I think.." She'd open the now empty carton of cigarettes, and toss the container, sighing.
"We're probably going to have something with Pomazziniki regarding ammunition production, and that alongside a deal with Lusatia for more ammunition in .30-06 will be more than enough to fill our warehouses with enough ammunition for.. around the first six months, I think. I think you and I both remember that in an actual war ammunition only lasts as long as you actually need it and then it's basically gone when everyone realizes that you didn't save enough for a sustained shitstorm."
She'd lean back. "I dunno about tanks here. The army is still looking at a bunch of designs. Prototypes, mostly. We've a few that have received widescale adoption but I think the only one I even rooted for was the self-propelled assault gun that they showed me... can't recall if I ever saw those trials end, to be honest, I've been so busy lately I haven't been able to remember."

"Assault gun? That sounds promising, what is it?"
"Are we truly better? You know our people's opinions on Grinvelians, us included. But yea, I think the UKUG is the better bet. We already have food relations with them and the general populace, at least in Marrlan, is quite good."
She would nod slightly and continue, "Yea that purchase from Pomazz is a definite requirement. We're going to have to slow ammo exports ourselves as well."

"It's a tracked machine with decent frontal armor, but its essentially meant to be a mobile anti-bunker artillery piece. Not sure if it'll be as good as I want given the way the tables just turned, it might have to be repurposed to basically a mobile anti-armor gun."
"I like to believe we are better, because while the Grinvelians have tried repeatedly to commit genocide against the Festria in Ald and discriminate heavily against non-humans, Roskana as a nation objectively exists because of a multi-species partnership and society. This goes back further than just the past 40 years, past century. This is a struggle that's thousands of years old. This might be the war that sees that struggle end and I have a bad feeling that the odds of it not being on our terms are too high to hope and pray now."
