Steel Ships and Scaled Soliders (Noscovo Port)

Off the autumn coast of Novosco, smoke could be seen billowing from the horizon. The Valderan Expeditionary Force and its feelt escort had entered Union waters, the mighty vessels purchased for Valdrran Navy spearheading the fleet. The twelve destroyers and the light cruiser leading the force held the flag of the Mil'Nor on high.

Abord the light cruiser Enyo, Torres busied himself with commands
"Get the guns ready to fire on anything that sails out to meet us, and have half the transports move to unload a distance from the town." He said. Intel on what the UST had for a fleet was scare, leaving more ambitious actions off the table until the waters were secured

"Flag our Kith friends and see how they've faired the trip"

While the rest of the navy headed west to land troops at Zest Grav, a single Ashinaran transport ship was left in the vicinity of the Noscovo port to watch the activities of the UST fleet, or what remained of it. Being a light unarmed and unarmored transport, it could easily outrun any military vessel, and thus would be able to charge towards the friendly navy to warn them should Noscovo send out ships against them. The Captain of the vessel, however, was surprised when lookouts reported ships coming from the other side. Searching for flags on the incoming ships, they spotted the Valderan flags, which puzzled the crew even more - as far as they were aware, Valdera was not involved in this war. With flag semaphores, the transport sent out a message to the Valderan ships:

"Board for talks?"

The Valderan fleet slowed as the Ashinarans flagged them, the return message signing for the transport ship to approach the fleet for communique.

The Kithium fleet, composed of five Ironclad battleships of which two were domestic designs and three were purchased Gaelic warships, and their escort of 4 frigates and 10 destroyers would be accompanied by 23 or so transport vessels and a number of logistical ships, had faired decently well, though some of the transport ships were lagging behind - a defect of their age mostly. The Kithium fleet would approach the Valderan one and come alongside them.

The Ashinaran ship approached the Valderan flagship, the captain and several of his trusted men got down on a dinghy and rowed it towards the Valderan ship, before climbing on board.

"Good day, gentlemen, I'm Captain Virenko. What are you doing here? Last we left your port, I believe you weren't involved in the war?"

Roughly a dozen armed guards greeted the Ashinarians,Torres following soon along. He'd raise a hand in greeting towards the Ashinarian as he spoke.
"The seas of South Touli are regarded as a high priority matter by the Valderan government, Captain Viroenko. As such, we seeing to the matters of our own interests within these waters. I am Fleet Captain Torress of the Cruiser Enyo, apointed commander of the Valderan Expeditionary Force. You may remain a distince from us in these waters, but I cannot promise you or your men's safety should you stay" His tone was quick, dismissive even. An officer would run up to Torres soon after he finished speak, the two sharing an exchange in the native Mil'Nor tongue before the subordinate left as quickly as he arrived.

Turning back to Virenko, he'd speak again "Unless you have something specific to say, Captain, I have my orders to carry out."

"I'm afraid we won't be able to leave the area. My ship is tasked with observing the status of the enemy fleet in the harbor, and sail to warm my own fleet should they head out. If you are entering the war on the same side as us, however, I feel obligated to inform you of the intelligence I do have. According to our observations, the enemy fleet has at least 3 ironclad battleships and 12 monitors still operational, and multiple other ships ran around and/or stripped of their armament for coastal defenses."

Torres gave a narrowed look to the Capitan, outstretching his arm to gesture to the fleet gathered.
"Before you lays a fleet unlike any other. The ships of two foes, now in the hands of two brothers. One brother has been struck, an eye bloodied and a honor besmirched. Another has found their footing, and rallies to his siblings aid."
He'd turn back to the Ashinaran, his tone dimissive
"Novosco will be ours. Let that be the word you report to your masters. Leave Fox, and leave these matters to those best suited"

"Very well," Virenko replied in short. He felt the dismissive attitude of the Mil'Norian, and presented his own, turning around to return to his vessel without saluting the officer that he was under the impression has arrived as an ally. Now he wasn't so sure.

Returning to his ship, the transport sailed West towards the rest of the Ashinaran battlefleet. As the ship travelled, Virenko typed up a report that he would then present to Admiral Kolvan.



Naval Action report.

To: Admiral te Kolvan
During our patrol around Noscovo we have encountered a joint Mil'Nor-Kithium fleet, consisting of the following:
Mil'Nor:
-1 Light Cruiser
-12 Destroyers
-48 Sail ships of various classes

Kithium:
-5 Ironclad Battleships
-4 Frigates
-10 Destroyers
-2 dozen transports

Communication with Mil'Nor officer, an Admiral Torres has broken down as Torres refused to acknowledge our existing operations in the area and dismissively suggested our vessel to leave the area immediately if we do not wish to be hurt.
To quote Torres - "Novosco will be ours. Let that be the word you report to your masters. Leave Fox, and leave these matters to those best suited".
I am writing this report as I am sailing towards you to hand it to you, as well as inform the fleet of the changes in the situation around the Noscovo port."

The Kithium captain would, using signal flags, show intent to approach the Valderan flagship. Once they had sometime later, they would exit the bridge and shout across the water to their counterpart.

"Our fleet has caught up! We're ready to attack when you are! Do you think we should take the lead, or do you wish to?"
She'd shout across the water. "Either way, our first target should be the port, and objective to destroy the rest of their fleet while its still in port!"

With the departure of the Ashinaran Captian, The Valdran Fleet would continue on it's course towards Novosco. Staying alongside their Kith allies, all eyes were kept on watch for the inevitable UST response. If the fox's information was correct, a fight was to be had once the joint fleet was spotted by lookouts. 

As the Kith Capitan flagged for talks, Torres would take to the ships exterior to respond.
"We shall approach them together, and hopefully wipe their fleet out in the first salvo! Once our vessels are within range, we shall begin the bombardment!"

"Alright, let's do it!"
She'd return to her ship's bridge. After a time, the fleet began to move, the Kithium training their guns on the port itself, spotters looking for their targets and relaying firing instructions to their counterparts. Once they were in range, they fired.

Vokoyo had just finished organizing the military government taking over the Union, the cease fire talks were requested when the sounds of shells rained down on the capital. "Take cover!", the Kithium and Mil'Nor fleets had opened fire on the capital. "Tell them to cease fire, we want to parlay and if they refuse. Kill them all!" Vokoyo was tired of the war, as his men hauled Okeena's corpse from the palace he ordered his officers to their battlements, "This is where you'll stand, this is where you'll break them like tide on rock. Noscovo has never fallen, and it won't today!"

Union artillery guns and naval ships prepared to return fire as the last Union infantrymen prepared to defend the capital. The wealthy upperclass were huddled toward the Ux Voshoz Cathedral at the center of town now filled with civilians. Priests were at work getting them into the old Seleucidinian catacombs for shelter. The Union sent word to the attackers of their intent to parlay.

Captain Pisula of the KFS Elenerre was the commanding officer of the Franerri navy left behind at Noscovo while the Admiral sailed east. He had seen the combined Kithium and Valderan fleet arrive as the Ashinarans had, though he had deigned to let the foxes handle the negotiations after hearing General Lumine's tale of his time on Razu. As the Ashinaran ship left the Valderans, a brief stop was made by the Franerri fleet to pick up the report from Admiral Virenko. It almost made him want to laugh. He himself had 4 Battleships, 3 Light Cruisers, 3 Torpedo Cruisers, and 2 Torpedo Destroyers under his command. If it came to blows, which it really shouldn't, Pisula had no doubt in his mind that Franerre could make a fighting withdrawal and link up with the Ashinaran fleet.

None of that mattered, regardless, as the bombardment of Noscovo began. Pisula was content to let them bombard the city, though without knowing exactly what they were doing, he couldn’t really assist even if he wanted to. As the Union ship bearing the message came out of port with a white flag, Pisula received the message and continued to observe the situation for the time being. It's not like there was much else to do, seeing as he wasn't the one bombarding the city and Pisula didn't exactly feel like sailing up to Noscovo and accepting the surrender in the current conditions. As soon as the Valderas and Kithium stopped their bombardment, Pisula would give orders to the fleet to move into Noscovo
