Imperio Legio

One of Ouhiri's oldest militaries, the Verak army has stood protecting and expanding the empire for centuries. Its modernization as the Imperio Legio brings the Verak Empire to a much more competitive front against its rivals in Ouhiri. 


Infantry gear is entirely uniformed and centralized, soldiers are geared for open desert combat and the use of swift infantry assaults. Verak soldiers wear various gaudy hats but have began to direct themselves to wearing helmets for protection against shrapnel and falling debris. 

Weapons

Spada 12 7.34mm rifle

Created in 1893, this five round 7.34mm rifle is the main weapon of the Verak military. Deadly accurate, almost impossible to jam and capable this rifle is one of the best in the Southern continent. 

Luca 9mm service gun

Made in 1929 the Luca handgun is rather advanced for its time, replacing several Veraki revolvers that were sold off into various Touli states in 1930. 

Spada Rincotia 7.34mm rifle

A new semi automatic rifle used by heavy infantry companies and firing teams, it is reloaded with two stripper clips of 7.34mm rounds and boasts a high fire rate. It is expensive to manufacture compared to other semi automatic rifles making it more likely that Verak might purchase foreign semi auto rifles over mass producing more of their domestic models. 

Vichi machine gun 7.34mm

The Vichi is a light machine gun created by the Verak military that can use 25 round magazines or use a cloth fed belt to fire from 100 to 300 rounds, the Vichi performs great in hot desert environments but jams horribly in colder environments making it not ideal for a future invasion of Pomaz or Kumosenkan. 

Bochi grenade 

A small anti infantry grenade that is activated by twisted the top and activating the fuse.

Armored legion

Filled with Veraki designs and supplemented by SU manufactured armored units, the Verak know the coming war will be one dominated by the open landscape of the Southern continent and thus have pumped their ranks full of light tanks being mass produced. 

Piccolo tankette

A two man operated small armored unit, it uses a 10mm main gun and a mounted .50 caliber machine gun above the turret. It has incredible speed and a reliable two way radio to help expand communications. It can provide minor infantry support but cannot defeat enemy armored units.

Gurreacane Mk1 (Desert dog)

The main Veraki light tank, it is equipped with a 55mm to 60mm main gun, one inbody 30 caliber machine gun and a mounted .50 caliber machine gun. The GMK1 tank travels easily across flats and desert but struggles in hillside terrain and forests. It packs a mean punch with its main gun and can be built very cheaply. 

SU-MK2 (Clanker)

A supplemental tank made by the SU powers, it is equipped with a 45mm main gun, 2 30 caliber machine guns and a mounted 50 caliber machine gun. Its design is based off the Barenkiller tank and mostly assembled in Grinvel or Galra for the sole purpose of shipping to all SU member states. It has the derogatory name of 'clanker' due to its hard hitting engine pistons. 

Serpente Light tank (Snake)

An advanced Verak tank that uses a powerful 50mm main gun and one 30 caliber machine gun, the Serpente is the second fastest desert crossing tank in Ouhiri. Its design uses slopped armor influenced by the Galran engineers that helped make it, like many Veraki tanks it struggles in hill terrain. 

Ponco tank

An anti infantry armored unit made to be mass produced by Verak and shipped to SU member states, the Ponco tank is light, quick and deadly to enemy infantry. It uses a triple armed turret of 30 caliber machine guns to lay down a hailstorm of fire, it can also tow some capacity but as with all Veraki designs it struggles on inclines. 

SU-MK1 (ratbird) 

Probably the cheapest non tankette in the SU armored fleet, the SU-MK1 is only armed with a 20mm main gun and a single 30 caliber machine gun. The tank was designed for infantry support in urban areas and to mass produce for large scale campaigns. 

Eroe heavy tank

An experimental tank design by Verak and influencing its SU partners, the Eroe heavy tank is plated with thick armor. It carries a large 70mm gun that is slow to reload, an in body 30 caliber machine gun and a mounted 50 caliber machine gun. It is powered by a Mascuti Staol engine prototype that is huge and kicks up alot of Staol smoke revealing its location rather easily.

Legio Aero

The Verak Air Force operates as an arm of the Imperio Legio with their aircraft doctrine centered around supporting ground troops and using their fighters to keep bombers safe. 

Pragguchi-14

Armed with 3 50 caliber machine guns and dual Fiatti engines this fast and powerful fighter can dive and climb with incredible ease.  The fighter easily decimates biplanes and can easily escort Verak bombing craft. 

Albatross bomber

A multipurpose medium bomber that can drop payloads, the bomber can be swapped out for torpedoes and launch assaults on enemy transport convoys. It has a pair of 50 caliber machine gun turrets and its twin engines can push enough force to help it escape from most situations. 




Menuchi Seaplane

Created to support the Imperial Navy, Menuchi Seaplanes are equipped with dual 30 caliber machine guns and mostly given torpedoes though they can be equipped with diving bombs. They're used to project power in the Southern Seas.
