Formed to protect the Free Cities Alliance from foreign invasion and to keep the prying hands of the Koian unification out of the region, the Free Army is in itself a major political force within the nation of a thousand voices and leaders. It is primarily a ground military investing heavily into artillery, infantry and cavalry units. The Free Army makes good use of their mountainous country for defense with several fortifications dotted across the Alliance.

Per Koi design, a lever action rifle that fires .45-70 rounds via a 7 round tube beneath the main barrel. The method of reload is at the 'front' of the underlying tube and dropping the rounds down. The Kaja rifle has been used by the FCA since 1872 making it one of the longest service rifles in Ouhiri. As with many Koi, several infantry can fire rounds rather fast using their second pair of arms.
A newer semi-automatic rifle used in heavy infantry divisions; this rifle also fires a .45-70 round via a ten round magazine. The odd pump at the front chambers the round, given the FCA budget for its military they can afford it to give their troops some edge in battle.
A unique semiautomatic handgun used by the FCA, the GA9 uses a 9 round 9mm magazine, its a reliable fast firing handgun.
Firing a 6.56mm round fed via an underside bag. In cooler mountain climates the lmg can sustain fire for long periods of time, though heavy a strong enough Koi can carry it to lay down covering fire and force entire squads to be pinned.
