Esrellia 15th, 10:42 p.m. Pareau, Franerre/Esrellia 16th 10:42 a.m. Põhiliin, Koi
Ambassador Serafin read the telegram, sitting at his desk in the Franerri Embassy. He read it again. He read it a third time. It took that long for the first reading to sink in. Constantin chuckled, despite the situation. It was hard for it to even feel real. This was all just supposed to be a nightmare, right? A bad dream he could just wake up from, if only someone could pinch him.
Constantin pulled open the bottom drawer of his desk, empty save for a bottle of wine. He’d brought this with him to Koi as a small piece of home, and had been saving it for a special occasion. There likely wouldn’t be one much more special than this. Constantin stood, intent on grabbing a wineglass from elsewhere in the Embassy, before deciding against it. He popped the cork off and took a swig straight from the bottle. No, no, this was all real, and in a month's time if Serafin didn’t do anything, well, Serafin preferred not to think about that.

As much as he would have loved to barge straight into the MiniFriends building and go all the way to the top, Serafin knew that Koi was a land that took bureaucracy and procedure to the extreme. He drafted up a quick letter, sending it to the MiniFriends and ensuring it was known that this letter had the utmost urgency. Now all he could do was wait.

To the Esteemed Ministry of Friends of the Republic of Koi,
The nation of Kumosenkan has ignited a question over a border dispute with the Kingdom of Franerre. As a neutral power with large amounts of diplomatic sway, we would like to request that the Republic of Koi act as an arbitrator between Kumosenkan and Franerre to ensure a peaceful ending to this dispute.
May this letter find you swiftly,
Ambassador Constantin Serafin.
