Iron Horde (SU Event)

Thickets of smoke bellowed over the skies of Galra, Grinvel and Verak. Factories began their devious work creating machines of war for the war to end all wars, bullets were mass produced, rifles piled up into mountains, iron and steel melted into frames that were then welded into the instruments of their desire, for a world they controlled. A world where democracy died, where humanity reigned supreme, a world free of wars and political discourse and perfect unification. Even if they didn't really trust each other.

Recruitment drives invoked adventure and excitement among the young men of each nation. New uniforms sewn to decorate the legions of the SU and its intent to break the 'free world'. 

"The wretched and evil non human has poisoned this world with their filthy furry hands, their scaled intent and their disgusting ideologies. Democracy is a cancer and we are the cure, the common cannot rule they are not made for it. You are in your place as God intended, work and create a better world for your children, reject the degenerate one they wish to force on your children!" A Galran propaganda officer yelled to the workers below making instruments of war to be shipped to Grinvel and Verak. 

In Grinvel they pumped massive amounts of materials, products and war goods that were shipped via sea liners or rail. Verak was approving any and all tank and armor designs for the great war for their empire, Galran factories worked overtime creating what was needed. SU ambassadors would now be assigned for the 'minor' powers of the new world, "Only humans, only those we can control. Go forth and get us their people for they are ours whether they want to admit it or not." 

The list of nations was given in secret dossiers, In touli Eleria, Shiysil, Frannerre, and Uglax. Verak would approach Abbadon, Shaum Shela, North and South Siceli, Detti and begin the process of sending agents into Orthoria to corrupt its people into joining the SU. Grinvel would sink its tendrils into Adrium, Treice and Mofli to pull them over. Trains and boats left nonstop from the ports of all three, while the events happening inside would be unknown it would be clear something was stirring in the SU. The time was now to prepare, all they needed...was an excuse for when they were ready. And as he overlooked the dark polluting clouds covering Galra, Applegate felt he didn't have to wait long, "The Shah is an impatient man..." he said as he drank some milk. 

Verak had gained a leg up in building the largest armored fleet of any of the SU powers, emphasizing on light fast tanks they could flood the enemy with and inflict fast results to force quick capitulation. The SU also shared several designs and would use them on multiple fronts, if this was to be the end they would make sure they used every angle they had. 

The SU has begun mass producing war materials, recruiting soldiers, building light to medium tanks, Verak is building experimental heavy tanks.

Verak and grinvel have begun supplementing their ammo stocks with steel casing bullets to speed up production of small arms ammunition.

First squadrons of Grinvel and Veraki air units with new SU aircraft are being deployed for training purposes.

Training exercises with new armored units also has begun.

Galra has begun pulling international trade slowly save its staol exports which have increased by 20% in purchases. Grinvel continues to trade openly defying SU orders while Verak has pulled from international markets altogether to invest in SU trade.

Verak naval production has increased significantly, grinvel has received new recruits and galra is training almost 400,000 reserve soldiers for their military.

Grinvel Reich finally agrees to shut off international trade, this has caused a massive price increase in consumer goods. Construction materials also rose in price as these products would only be sold to fellow SU nations. This came after pressure from Autarch Applegate to cease international trade, the Reich economy struggled slightly but was stabilized after a month or two.

Verak unveiled its newest weapon of war, the Anguilla, boasted the best underwater diving ability, fastest electric engine and the new advanced torpedo system Freccia which would be the most advanced in Ouhiri.





Galran recruitment drives and training continues to grow their massive army, the Department of labor is now using slave labor from prisons to continue manufacturing with so many men entering the military.

Grinvel military forces performed a parade in the capital demonstrating their new found power and armored vehicles since construction. The Grinvel imperial army is now near full strength and continuing to recruit, build and conduct training exercises for 'peace' and 'security'.

SU munition factories, continue to pump out record breaking numbers of small arms, munitions and vehicles for their military network. The stockpiles now give the SU major three nations enough supplies to fight for years and supply the lesser SU member states with modern weaponry.

The SU continued their massive military build up, many commanders under the guise that it was to deter assaults on the bloc. Galra cleverly began using propaganda of Kumosenkan's invasion of the Notch in their recruitment, hammering that violent non-humans continue to expand on human territories and that the need for brave men to step up and serve in the military was now more than ever a necessity. 

Grinvel unveiled a new weapon to their mechanized arsenal, the Golhz truck. This vehicle would be fitted in several ways, it could transport troops over rough terrain, be equipped with machine guns, anti air craft guns, 20-30mm guns and easily haul supply convoys through thick mud. The truck was pressed into mass production for most of the SU nations with billions of Jewels being approved by the bloc leadership to fasten production of the vehicle and have it shipped.

Meanwhile, Galra pumped millions of Banknotes into its navy, producing four more battleships and putting into order three more full sized carriers and ten battleships to be added by 1934. The vast buildup of military assets would now be hard for the world not to notice, Verak began mass producing their new submarine and their own cruiser class in their ports. Prisoners would be pulled as slave labor to work on manufacturing aircraft parts, bullets anything to continue mass production along. 

With the world likely noticing this large build up, Galra would begin the final planning of what was to come, a final meeting would be called at the end of 1933 to lay out the final plans of the SU.

National recruiters across the SU member nations would begin massive efforts to get men as young as 18 to sign up for the military forces, bright eyed boys leaving school eagerly signed up for adventure and the pride of protecting humanity against what had been taught to them. Savage beasts beyond their borders.

In Galra, church deacons and state recruiters pushed that the world was drowning in decay and that the Galran Imperial State was the only real power capable of shifting this back to a proper world. As young as kindergarten children were taught to hate non humans and infidels so it was rather easy to get the young men of Galra to join voluntarily. They chanted death to the freaks beyond their border and were embolden by the idea that this was a holy war to retake Ouhiri. To many Galrans, war was a definite, a crusade that must be fought to honor God, their race and the survival of good men. 

Grinvel didn't need much to sway their youth, Roskanan wars stretched over a period of a century now. Hundreds of years of warfare had turned Grinvel into a hardened military society, a culture that had become utterly disciplined to the idea of the Reich and the armed society that stood before years and years of Rosark aggression. To the Grinvelian it was more than duty and service, it was survival. Such hatred between two nations simply made a future war inevitable. 

Verak lazily drafted troops into the legion, swelling its large military with bodies and putting the lower class into the economy that would miss them, The Emperor then signed an executive order to allow women to work within the domestic economy. The retaking of the Empire would require almost all able bodied men. 

Detti simply drummed up the Romanized idea of establishing a Detti empire over the Grecian states and parts of Nevarra and Amali. It was sold like some twisted adventure to the bored and entitled young populations of Detti. 

Shiysil simply grabbed young men off the streets and told them they would serve. 
Eleria was divided in the growing civil war, which was now becoming the first test of the SU bloc. 
Northern Mestria began building its army boldly out in the open to prepare to storm South and murder the Queen and seize control of the Penisula. 


Along with these events Grinvel unveiled a new long range medium bomber, it was to begin mass production and be shipped to Verak, Eleria, Shiysil and Detti. The bomber shed weight for fuel efficiency and more bomb cargo allowing it to drop larger payloads but meant it needed a fighter escort. Galra refused to have it as they already had constructed and prepared medium bombers.

Galra began building several war trains, their goal of construction kept secret, but the higher ups would clearly know. It would be used to head East.
