Infantry Equipment in Lusatia
The McCarron Model 4, "Entente Rifle"
Developed by the Ulster-Gaelian McCarron Arms, the Entente Rifle has been a staple of the Lusatian Army since its inception. Though other rifles have come and gone since the Model 4, and many other rifles are currently in circulation in the Lusatian military, only the Model 4 is produced in any bulk amount, both cheap and reliable. Still, aware of the weapon's age, designers are beginning to look towards the future and what it may hold.
The Model '15 Service Pistol
Developed by Standard Rifles and Arms, the Model '15 is Lusatia's first service pistol, turning away from the revolvers that use to be standard issue during the 19th century. With double-stacked magazines holding 12 .45 ACP rounds, the guns are a bit unwieldy, but effective. Wherever they have replaced the old revolvers, enlisted men and officers alike sing the new weapon's praise.
The JA-16
The standard machine gun used along the Lusatian border defenses. Rapid-firing and easily utilized by three-man crews, the only weakness of the gun is the small feed strips that limit fire rate in untrained crews. Like the Entente rifle, the JA-16 is pending replacement for more effective equipment.
Naroda LMG-27
The first mass-produced Lusatian LMG, the "N-27" is weapon for want of an identity. Really only identified as an LMG after the weapon was clearly unsuitable as either a machinegun or a rifle, it is an effective weapon, but the true niche for the weapon to fill is less clear.
