Date
The Calendrier Républicain Eoni also commonly called the Calendrier Révolutionnaire Eoni was created upon the overthrow of the former order and the formal establishment of the Republic and has been in use for the past year. It was designed to remove all religious and royalist influences from the calendar.
The Calendar Year begins on the Spring Equinox, the day the Revolution began. It has ten months of 3 décades with 10 days each. The extra three or four days in the year were not given a month designation, but considered Eonides or Complementary Days. A period of four years ending on a leap day is known as an "Eonicade".
