The economy of the UCV is a Command Economy. The government controls every aspect of the economy. All businesses are owned and operated by the government. After the revolution the interim government nationalized everything in the country, including foreign owned companies.
Welfare
Eonivelt has an extensive welfare system. Put into place after the revolution the system is designed to take care of the sick and elderly, as well as the common citizen. Every citizen of the UCV is guaranteed basic living conditions, including food, housing, and healthcare.
Work
Every citizen is assigned a job based on skills they show while growing up. From there they can change careers by applying to trade schools within the UCV. Each citizen is paid based on the work they performed, and they can use their salaries to purchase luxuries.
Housing
Housing is free. If a citizen's family expands they can apply for new housing arrangements with the government, who will sort it out as quick as possible.
Healthcare
Guaranteed by the government healthcare employees have a slightly higher luxury allowance than the average citizen to encourage citizens to enter the field.
Taxes
Taxes are nonexistent. All money earned from the government budget is from the purchase of luxuries as all items are bought from the government.
