Hello viewers!  I am Rachelle, Chief Reporter for Vérité, your most trusted news in Eonivelt.  I am coming to you live in front of the Bâtiment du congrès, where the Congrès des Eoni is finishing up a voting session.  Overseen by Consuls Atio and Atia they have been deliberating for the past few hours.  As it stands we have gotten confirmation of the passing of the Pup Bill.  The Bill states that every citizen under the age of 18 can petition the government for a new housing situation.  Currently we also have confirmation of continued government support for all industries and a potential raising of the luxury allowance for all citizens.  The Vichins have dominated the proceedings so far, shooting down several Rivin proposals, including one bill that would nullify the Consular Revocation of the laws passed by the interim government.  The final bill to be voted on will be the Consular Leadership Bill, which will grant the Consuls the power to appoint a César in times of crisis, though it is believed this bill will fail, as it lacks support from the Consuls themselves, saying it undermines the ideals of the Revolution.  This guarantees that the Vichins will reject the Bill, and the Rivins will have to convince enough of the Côtins to support their cause, something that they haven't been able to do all day.  I will keep you updated as word reaches us from inside.  This has been Rachelle for Vérité at the Bâtiment du congrès.

Gooooood Morning Eonivelt!  Marius here with your morning news, brought to you by the most trusted news source in the Republic, Vérité!  Last night, as reported by my fabulous co-worker Rachelle, the Congrès des Eoni finished voting on several Bills.  I am pleased to announce that the luxury allowance has been expanded!  This is due to success in the market place on all fronts.  Business is booming and the Republic is continuing to thrive.  Now international relations are still not amazing, but we can confirm the successful setting up of an embassy in the Lusatian Commonwealth.  The Commonwealth is an interesting nation, and is currently facing struggles with civil rights.  Eoni in the nation are protesting for rights, led by a Reverend Marcin King.  While currently Vérité reporters are restricted to Eonivelt, we are hoping that soon we'll be able to cover the protests as they happen.  As it stands however everything is going well for the protesters, unlike the events of 1951 it seems that the Commonwealth is choosing not to respond violently.  It is good to see Eoni treated reasonably by humans for once.  In other news a new restaurant has opened up in the Eon Tower, so if you are in Librevelt stop by for some new food.  This has been Marius with your morning news, brought to you by Vérité.

Good evening Eonivelt!  Marius here with your evening news, brought to you by Vérité, the most trusted news in the Republic.  Today we had some interesting events, including a performance by everyone's favorite idol Millhiore!  We will be showing a piece of her concert after tonight's show.  It was one of the best performances we've had in a while.  We're all proud of our idol.  Now onto the politics of the state!  Polls for this years election are out, and it looks like the Vichins are going to gain seats with the Rivins dropping in popularity.  The Consuls approval ratings are through the roof, with people celebrating their success in guideing the Republic.  After the commanding defeat of the Consular Leadership Bill the powers of the state are being defined better, ensuring that no abuse of power is possible.  Currently we have the Internationale Bill on the docket, and it is scheduled for debates and revisions for the next month.  The gist of the bill however is that it will grant citizenship to every Eoni in the world.  This means Eoni far and wide can come and live in Eonivelt with no problems and are guaranteed the same rights as current citizens, as long as they live in Eonivelt.  As it stands the Bill seems likely to pass as it has support of both the Rivins and Vichins, they only disagree on what the final form should be.  That is all for our political news for the day!  Stay tuned for Millhiore's concert!

The major event was the official recognition of our Republic by Rovuellia. However they still have not changed their policies and their statement raised some questions. What is this so called "Poison" they claim exists in our nation. We go now live to Rachelle.

Thanks Marius. I am here with Professor Madeleine. He teaches political science. Now Professor, you believe you know what the Rovuellians are talking about?

That is correct. The Rovuellians have declared themselves Capitalist and enemies of Communism. Our economic system is very similar to Communism and thus many people think it should be destroyed.

I see. So what you're saying is that the outside world hates us for a system of economics?

Correct. It seems they fear it for some reason.

Good morning Eonivelt!  This is Marius with your morning news, and boy do I have an exciting report today.  First things first, last nights showing of "Soldats de la révolution" was a smash hit, with higher average viewing than anything else we've ever had on the channel.  We have received a ton of feedback expressing a love for the show, as well as hate for the cliffhanger ending.  We here at Vérité are glad with how invested everyone seems to be!  In other news we have confirmation of building in the industrial sector of Eonivelt.  This will open up so many opportunities for jobs in the future, and as our industry grows so will our ability to influence the world in a positive direction.  Lastly I have finally received confirmation of a planned Parade to celebrate Bastille Day.  We hope all citizens who can will attend and will keep you updated on the planned preparations.  Until this evening!  This has been Marius with Vérité, your most trusted news in Eonivelt.

Good morning Eonivelt!  I am Marius with Vérité, your most trusted news source.  Today I have with me a very special guest.  A living legend, hero of the Revolution, Maréchal de la République Eonivelt Bernard!

Thank you for the introduction Marius, even if it was a bit over the top.

Nonsense!  Nothing is over the top when it comes to respecting one of the Republic's Heroes.  Most of you know Bernard for his role in the Revolution.  He personally led the Armée Rouge through many a dangerous situation and in the end won the war through his sheer brilliance.

I take no credit really.  It was all my soldiers who really deserve the credit.  All I did was ensure they were in the correct places.

Which you did masterfully!  Tell us, what was it like leading the Armée Rouge?

It was a daunting experience.  Very few Eoni had ever used a weapon before.  I was lucky in a way, the noble I was with was a military man.  This meant that I was really the only logical choice to organize the Armée Rouge.  The Storming of the Bastille granted us access to plenty of weapons to use, but teaching the troops how to use them was another matter.

I see.  But!  Somehow you managed to do it, defeating the Tyrannical Shah's army in the old capital.

That battle was brutal.  As you know "Soldats de la révolution" is based on that battle.  We lost many brothers and sisters to the tyrants then.  However we did revolutionize warfare here.  They were completely unprepared for the ambushes we pulled off.  The fact we can sit and talk about it means that all the sacrifices were not made in vain.

Of course.  Speaking of the sacrifices, we all had to make some.  Some of our viewers may not know this but Bernard here used to actually have a decent position in the old order.  He saw the situation unfold differently than a lot of us did.  Care to explain?

Of course.  I was privileged to say the least.  Unlike many I didn't really want for anything.  So when the protests first started I didn't really think much of it.  However the brutal massacre by the Shah shocked a lot us.  Now I wasn't willing to commit yet to revolution, but I was sympathetic.

What made you step in and take on the mantle of the Revolution?

The Shah ordered all Eoni who remained loyal to basically be used as bait.  Essentially he wanted to use them as mouthpieces to justify his reign and try and put down the rebellion.  It was at this moment I knew the was no chance of a peaceful change.  So I played along and was one of the Eoni assigned to the Bastille.  I took command and we let the place get stormed.  From then on I was a member of the Revolution.

Fascinating.  Well we here in Eonivelt thank you.  It is because of you that many of us can live.

Good evening Eonivelt! It's me Marius once again bringing you your evening news with Vérité, your most trusted news in the Republic.  Those of you who tuned in this morning will remember Maréchal Bernard.  Joining us this evening is Ministre Viole, Ministre de l'international.  Ministre Viole is, like Maréchal Bernard, also a veteran of the Revolution.  Now we all know that opinion in the government is divided on how we should react to the rest of the world, can you give us a hint as to what the prevailing thought is?

Of course.  The current prevailing idea is nonintervention.  The Consuls don't want to interfere with people, as it would potentially harm our ability to warm relations with the rest of the world.  That being said there is also a strong belief that we should aid those in need around the globe.  The Vichins are currently being hard pressed by the Rivins to support a bill that would allow for funding and equipment to be sent to Revolutionary movements around the world.  As it stand though the idea does not have enough support to pass.

I see.  And Maréchal Bernard, how do you feel about the world situation?  It certainly hasn't made your job easy.

It really hasn't.  The Armée Rouge is currently on high alert due to our current status of nonrecognition by most of the globe.  As such I do prefer the Consuls approach of trying to open relations with people around the globe, as that is one less nation I have to worry about attacking us at any moment.  That being said like in the government the Rivins have quite a few supporters in the Armée Rouge, and there are factions advocating for aiding Revolutions within as well.

Well as it stands it seems you two are in good positions to watch over everything and keep things from getting out of hand.

I certainly hope so.  Maréchal Bernard has been a great help in ensuring no young officers step out of line.  It makes my job so much easier when I know I don't have to worry about the Armée Rouge going off the rails.  Our embassy in Lusatia has also gone very well.  We have finished furnishing it for the moment and were able to help out the local businesses that were either run by Eoni, or were recommended to us for their good practices by the local Eoni.  So it is nice to know that we can aid the Eoni even outside of our own state.

That is certainly good to know.  Now I know you can't tell us anything classified, but is it possible for one of you to give our viewers a scoop on what is going on inside the government?

Certainly.  The Internationale Bill is reaching its final stages and we should see it brought to a vote soon.  Now I can't comment on the contents of the bill itself, but I can tell you that I am a co-author of the bill due to my position.

Exciting!  It will be nice to finally see what the government decides on.  Any opinions Maréchal Bernard?

Plenty.  The bill as I understand it will be beneficial for us.  The most important thing is that it makes traveling to and from Eonivelt easy for Eoni.  This means we will probably see an influx of Eoni from around the world who could bring new ideas.  The free exchange of ideas is important for us, it's one of the reasons I'm sure so many people tune into Vérité on a regular basis.

Good evening Eonivelt. It's me Éva.  And me Jean.  This evening we have breaking news coming straight from congress.  That's right.  In a surprise move something known as the Restitution Bill has just been brought up for a vote.  This bill deals with all the humans displaced by the Interim Government.  From what we have gathered it would allow for anyone who can prove citizenship to the Luclistan Republic to apply for citizenship with Eonivelt and be granted the same rights as an Eoni citizen.  Now while the bill wasn't necessarily unexpected, it certainly wasn't expected this early.  Rivins are rallying against the bill, saying it betrays the ideals of the Revolution.  Rivin Leader Maxine has vowed to fight the bill and says she will not let it pass.  On the other side of the aisle the Vichins have thrown their support behind the bill, but interestingly enough the Consuls have not declared their support for the bill.  It is believed that while they support the bill they wish to remain nonpartisan in this instance as this is a highly controversial bill.  As it stands the bill looks to be on shaky ground but we cannot get a solid answer on whether it will pass or fail.  Too many Côtins are refusing to support or stand against the bill as it stands.  This means that it could go either way.  I expect this bill to take a lot of debate before it is settled.  Personally I believe a decision won't be made until the Consuls themselves weigh in.  But as of this moment that isn't looking very likely.  We'll keep you updated on this bill as it goes.  Until next time.  This has been Éva.  And this has been Jean.  And this is Vérité, the Republic's most trusted source of news.
