Economy of Koi
The Republic of Koi is a state capitalist economy with significant private and public businesses coupled with extensive government-owned industries and infrastructure. On top of government-owned staol mining and transportation services, the government also operates basic emergency public services for all persons within the borders, unemployment benefits for all citizens and residents, and free public education.

The Federal Minimum Wage is 0.30≛/hour.
Federal Maximum Workday
There is no limit to the amount of hours a person can work within a year. However, there do exist certain limits for some of the government-owned industries.
Within the Staol Mining Industry, there is a limit of 8 hours per shift per day and a minimum of one (1) day of rest per week.
Within the Railroading Industry, there is a limit of 10 hours per shift per day and a required 10 hours of rest between shifts and one (1) day of rest per week.
Within the Trucking Industry, there is a limit of 10 hours per shift per day and a required 10 hours of rest between shifts and one (1) day of rest per week.
Unemployment
The Government offers a safety net to those who are unable to find work, offering a weekly subsidy for ten (10) weeks.
Healthcare
Koian Taxes are committed to paying for free emergency services, including trauma and sickness-related ER visits. With ambulances becoming more widely available, these are also available free of charge in areas where they're located.
Taxes
All citizens, residents, and visa holders pay a flat tax rate of fifteen percent (15%) regardless of income.
All businesses pay a flat corporate tax of twenty percent (20%).
For non-essential purchases, there is a national one-point-five percent (1.5%) sales tax. All essential purchases, such as foodstuffs, are untaxed.
There is an import tax of one percent (1.0%). There is no export tax.
