The plea for help from the Elerians was not met by deaf ears in Franerre. It was met by many, too many pairs of ears in fact. The military strongly favored intervention, ostensibly seeing it as an opportunity to make another strong ally like Tafatu out from under another totalitarian state. The voices in the National Chamber were somewhat more mixed. Franerre had payed plenty in blood for Tafatu's freedom, and in the end it cost them the Notch. On the furthest end, the SNF wanted nothing to do with the war. In the middle lay the PPD, who favored arming and supporting the Samurai with advisors. Debate dragged on for months, while the war in Eleria continued to evolve. In the end, it was something no one had expected that tilted the scales. Protests, not led by the usual suspects of the SNF, but by a new faction led by one Antoine Claude. After months of debate, this signaled the death blow for the Army's cause. There would be no intervention, and so they threw their weight behind the PPD, and the compromise was passed.
General Michael Cailleaux, the Lion of Elenerre, would be sent along with 100 men to advise the Samurai. The Lion would bring with him enough small arms and ammunition for 10,000 men, as well as 100 field artillery canons and ammunition.

The Samurai would begin unloading the guns, no questions asked. They informed General Cailleaux that the Elerian Rebel army was already on the move against them.
They also informed them that Kumo and Elenrians have joined their ranks along hillside defenses. "If you can spare some men, Lord Ikazuchi is near the pleatuea overlooking the valley."
The one samurai who seemed stressed and moving consistently was Lord Yokishi, a Coastal lord who wore baby blue colored armor.
"You're humans, what tribe do you hail? Lusatia?"

Cailleaux cursed his luck, both that the Elerian rebels were moving out, and that Kumosenkan was here. There was nothing he could do about it now, though, and cursing his luck would get them nowhere. “We hail from Franerre,” the General answered Lord Yokishi, “I’m sorry we came with such meager supplies, but trying to our government to send anything was like drawing blood from a stone. I will speak with Lord Ikazichi, but first I have two questions for you. How many soldiers do you have, and how long do you believe we have before the Elerians show? We brought 10,000 guns and artillery canons, but the canons will require some training to use and we may not have the time for it.”
