It took some time since the beginning of the Rebellion for news to reach Ashinara. The public has been divided on their thoughts on the matter. On one hand, no one really wanted another war, having participated previously in the bloodiest conflict to date - the Tafatu War. On the other hand, they were extremely proud - especially the veterans of that war - that Ashinara managed to be among the most successful belligerents in terms of casualty rate. What's more, many felt the shame of not being able to come to Franerre's aid when Kumo has invaded Elenerre. Finally, rumors were afoot that the slaughter directed at the Elerian samurai was perpetrated by an Elerian faction that itself was rebelling against the official Elerian government - and - more importantly - sponsored by Galra.
Many in the upper echelons of Ashinaran Society - those nobles who were involved in the Royal Court in particular - understood what was happening. This was an expansion of the so called Sovereign Union - Galra's bid to export their human-supremacist policies to all of Ouhiri. While they were still debating weather or not to send aid directly to the Elerian Imperator, it was decided that the Samurai will get Ashinaran help as fast as it can be shipped out.
An Expeditionary Force has been assembled out of current active duty personnel, consisting of a single division - 10,000 Infantry (of them 2,000 Standard Infantry 5,000 Heavy Infantry, 3,000 Special Infantry), fortified by 50 Field Artillery batteries, 50 Mortar batteries. The High Command debated weather or not to send a landship, but ultimately decided against it, believing that supplying it with fuel would be nearly impossible. One recon plane would be sent, however, with ample fuel for at least a dozen missions.
The assembled force consisted mostly of the 43rd Infantry Division - known as the Ferville Helldiggers - and their current personnel consisted of around 75% veterans of combat in Tafatu - Ferville in particular. It would be led by none other than General Viktor Lishenko.
While they were being loaded onto ships bound for Franerre - it being the only nation through which Ashinarans could reach the Samurai - a message has been sent to the Franerri Embassy - informing them of the incoming mass of troops, requesting passage for them to the Elerian rebels.
At the same time, not waiting for the troops to arrive in Franerri shores, a messenger has been sent through Franerre to Eleria to inform the Samurai that help was on it's way.
