Overview
Nation Name: Fenavria RepublicMotto: Nach vorne! In die Hölle! (Translation: Forward! In hell!)
Population: 60,000
,000
Ethnic / Species Groups: Fenvaria
Languages: Fenti
Religions:
There are three major pantheons that really influence the Fenvaria society, their popularity is largely dependent on where the settlers had come from when they left Arcadia and the home territory of the FR. So for example in the northern portion of the homeland, the people there would have a spirit based religion due to the fact that there was the Auroas, and to them they believe that the Auroas are a sort of spirit highway into the heavens. In the middle region of the homeland you have a more monotheistic religion, similar to that of abrahamic religions of earth. In the southernmost region of the homeland you have a more polytheistic view on religion, each one of the cities down there following a selected deity. So for example, a city that is on a major trade route would follow the god of trade where as a city in the mountains would follow the god of mining and/or metalworking.
Capital: Arcadia City
Major Cities: Arcadia City, Garion, Festrug, Ashfield, Lenus, Wolffe
Economy: Capitalistic with some welfare programs, built around defense
Culture:
The culture of the Republic as a whole can be described as martial as citizens are expected to serve in the military, however, it is not required. The martial attitude of the republic culture is due to the necessity for them to be ready at all times in case a war was to ever break out, as in their mind an unprepared population is a dead population. A sense of ‘greater good’ mindset is prevalent within the FR, that everyone is working for the defense, prosperity, and unity of the nation. Not to mention the republic is also a proud nation, not so much as arrogant but heavy on respect. Most of the basis for the current republic culture comes from the fenvaria as they are the ones who originally organized and establish the nation. There are many freedoms that the FR has ranging from freedom of religion to marrying any sex/gender you wish, while these freedoms are held dear, the people of the republic know that they have a duty to protect these values no matter the cost.
Fenvaria
The fenvaria are also a proud people, not so much as arrogant, more so they put respect as one of their closely guarded values. Trust is something that is earned, not demanded. If you want a frenvaria to respect you, you must be willing to show that you respect them as well as earn their respect. If a person were to approach a fenvarian and demand that the fenvarian respect them, it is considered bad mannered and rude, often the fenvaria would shrug them off. However, if the person comes rather aggressive in demanding that the fenavria respect them, then the fenvaria would be aggressive back. Depending on the action the fenvaria would react differently, walking away or confronting the aggressor if it comes to that. Once you earn the respect of a fenvaria they will be quite loyal, a sort of kinship, they will protect the ones they are loyal to with a rather impressive amount of vigor.
Fenvaria culture is marital by nature, as well as communal, due to this they have developed a clan like structure. Each family being around two adults and one litter, which one litter ranges from one to two pups. From there several families would make up a small clan. Then several of these smaller clans would make up a larger one and so on, until you have a town or city, then so forth. The fenvaria are a weird mix as they are quite individualist however, they are quite loyal to one’s clan and one’s family. Often they are quite protective of their family, if one is to insult or injure a member of their family they would become rather aggressive, often showing their teeth in a threatening manner and extending their claws as to protect that member of the family. This is seen as a huge disrespect or a challenge as they have to protect the honor of that family member, which the fenvaria in question would gladly do. They are also quite territorial when it comes to outside intervention and interference, if a place is being threatened the fenvaria will react. For example if it is another clan moving onto another clan’s territory, the clan defending would seek a rather peaceful means. Often resorting to politics to settle the dispute. However, if it was something like a planetary invasion then every able bodied fenvaria on the planet would take up arms to defend the planet. Often they would fight to the death to try and push back the invaders.
Due to them living in a rather communal lifestyle they have become rather social, often they love hanging out those that they call friends. Being a friend of a fenvaria is considered a rather honored task, it means that they trust you with their life and will most likely trust you with some rather personal things. This could be really anything, secrets, wills, etc.
Society:
Fenvaria society is largely clan based, each city could be made up of dozens of smaller clans. So how the clan system works is that there are several levels to each clan, starting at the bottom you have “packs” these would usually be made up of about twenty to forty individual families. After “packs” you have another layer called “regional packs” these are usually at least five packs and they are larger swaths of territory within the city. For example a set territory under a “regional pack” would be called unsurprisingly a region, this region would be a part of the city. So to put in perspective, Arcadia City, the capital city of the FR is divided into dozens and dozens of regions. After “regional packs” we then have a “clan” this level would be in control of multiple “regional packs” it is not specified how many regional packs that a clan’ would control however, reports suggest that it is more then four ‘regional packs’. At this level the city would be divided into several clan territories, with usually the strongest or the most influential clan leading the city. Deciding what should be done and so on. Traditionally, to decide which clan was to lead the city there was a sort of ritualistic fight between the clan’s champions. As the fenvaria evolved into a more civilized race this more primitive way of deciding who was in control was replaced with voting for representatives from each clan.
Religion:
There are two main types of religion that the Fenvaria follow, the first one is the teachings of the Great Wolf.
The Teachings of the Great Wolf are by far one of the more popular religions that are taught in the Republic, this religion is a monothestic religion with the Great Wolf seen as a god of sorts. This Great Wolf is sought to be the creator of the universe and the Fenvaria species, forming the Fenvaria from the stone and snow of Arcadia. Once the Fenvarians were created, the Great Wolf then bestowed them several teachings that gave the Fenvarians a moral code and law. These teaches would cover things like respecting elders/parents, to keep a holy day, as well as prohbitations agaisnt murder, theft, rape and, dishonesty. These are considered divine law, as in law passed down from the Great Wolf himself. The Great Wolf then selected six of the bravest and wisest of his children to serve on his council, these six would be referred to as the “Six Disciples of the Wolf ''. These figures are often viewed as the judges of the afterlife. Where they will judge your actions that you committed in the moral world. These figures are not worshipped in the same sense as the Great Wolf, but instead these figures are respected and are noteworthy figures.
From the judgement of these six disciples, a person is sentenced to one of three different areas, Taiivvos (Heaven), Halvvettii (Hell), or Tühimmän maa (Land of Void). Taivas is seen as a place for all of the people who follow the Great Wolf and are good, have not committed sins or betrayed the teachings. Halvvettii is defined as a place that for those who do follow the Great Wolf but have strayed from his teachings and committed sins that can not be forgiven. Finally, Tühimmän maa is a place that is defined differently depending on which denomination of the Great Wolf, some define it as a place for those who follow the Great Wolf but have had a balanced life (like good and faithful in the beginning, but sinful and bad later on, and vice versa). Or some will define it as a place for those who don't follow the Great Wolf but are recognized as good and pure. Or even a place where those who have been good and bad can face the Great Wolf himself, and present why they deserve to be in Taiivvos.
As for the organization of the church, at the top there is a Grand Pope, who is elected by the Grand Council. Under the Grand Pope are five archbishops who serve as an advising council to the pope, also known as the Grand Council. Under these archbishops, you have several lower bishops. Under those bishops you then have cardinals. Finally, then you have preachers who are the heads of a place of worship and are the ones that read the scriptures.
The holy land for the Teachings of the Great Wolf is a place called Awoograd, this city sits on a strip of land that lays in the central part of the largest continent. This land is known for being extremely mountainous and deadly, while the city itself is known to be a focal point for many wars due to its location on both a viable and major trade route as well as for many religions being a holy city.
The second type of religion in the Fenvaria Republic is the dozens of polytheistic religions that span the entire nation.

Demographics:
The species that makes of the Fenavria Republic is the Fenvaria, a canine like race that is native to the peninsula. The Fenvaria as a whole ranges from several different kinds of canine like species, from jackals to wolves. However, they mostly seem to be related to wolves and foxes.
Languages:
The primary language of the Fenvaria Republic is Fenti, which is a combination of modern day German and English, it has a german like base, however, a rather thick and strong british accent.
Government:
The FR government could be classified as a federal republic with a strong martial culture as the military serves an important part of our nation's culture and history. Many of the politicians, diplomats, and other government officials have served in the military. The term "Republic" is used because we have a central government with a strong collection of several other "states" or systems, the national government hold most of the power (controlling the military, passing national laws and enforcing them, etc) whereas the "states" have some power in terms of passing state and enforcing laws, etc. Also the idea of Meritocracy is largely used throughout the Republic as we value your ABILITY to do you job, not your political or personal connections to advance your status.
The government of the Fenvaria Republic is broken into three different branches Executive, Legislative, and Judicial. Each branch has certain powers and is kept in check by the idea of checks and balances. A majority of all politicians have had military records as our society demands that you steady spend three years in the military (not including training). As mentioned before the nation is divided up into 25 “states” (similar to that of the US), the major point is that the federal law comes before state law. Unlike the US, a lot of these laws are enforced as well as better defined and understood as it is better worded, in the terms that it uses more common language.
Executive Branch: Overview
The Executive branch is made up of the Chancellor, Vice Chancellor and his Cabinet. They are responsible for the execution and enforcement of the laws passed by Parliament, however that is if they are signed off by the Chancellor.
Description of the Chancellor
The Chancellor serves as both head of state and General-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, they are also responsible for the implementation and enforcement of all laws passed by Parliament. As well as the appointment of heads of federal agencies. Chancellors are elected for two ten year terms, then he/she cannot run in the next election. They are expected centrist, where they do both right and left policies in terms of politics, and it is not unusual for them to have a background in the military.
Vice Chancellor
The Vice Chancellor is the Chancellor's right hand man, they do everything from advising to informing the Chancellor about events. There job is slightly more difficult then the Chancellor's because they are required to read all of the incoming bills (the Chancellor does this also) and explain parts that don't make sense. The Vice Chancellor also takes over when the Chancellor in office dies unexpectedly or resigns unexpectedly, they will finish out their term and of course run for office after that term.
Cabinet
The Cabinet and other individual federal agencies are responsible for the day to day admission and enforcement of federal laws. The cabinet is made up of ten departments who are head by Secretary Generals. The cabinet also includes the Vice Chancellor as well the Attorney General. These ten departments include,
-Department of Foreign Affairs
-Department of Defense
-Department of Commerce
-Department of Health
-Department of Treasury
-Department of the Nature Preservation
-Department of Education
-Department of Transportation
-Department of Development
-Department of National Security
Legislative Branch: Overview
The Legislative branch which is called Parliament, is made up of one body which has two separate "houses" the upper house is called the "House of Lords" and the lower house is called the "House of the People". The House of Lords is made up of 75 representatives, 3 representatives for each state regardless of population, size, etc. Whereas the House of the People is made up of 300 representatives which is fixed by law this house is largely based on population of the states. A state’s location with a sector has no meaning on the legislative branch as the sectorization of the FR is more of a military and navigation tool to help determine what area of the FR that sailors, travelers, merchants, etc are in.
As with their job they create the laws of the nation (needs a 60% majority vote in each house to be passed), declare war, approve treaties, have rule over the national budget, impeachment (political the removal of any sitting politician), they also have the power to override the veto of the executive branch with a full 4/5ths majority (80% majority in each house)
Judicial Branch: Overview
The courts of the Republic, they are responsible for interpretation and application of the law in the Republic. Under the view of separation of powers, they are not responsible for the creation of statutory law, that job is left to the legislative branch, nor are they responsible for the enforcement of the law, which is left to the executive branch. But rather, the interpretation and application of the law to each case they review. In the Republic, courts are given judicial review, the power to annul laws of the state, if it finds them to be in conflict with the higher norm. Such as constitutional, primary legislation, treaties, and international law.
Republic courtrooms are structured to be a fight for the truth, where the two sides engage in a gentleman’s duel of words to achieve ‘justice’. However, there is one noticeable thing that is lacking from a Republic courtroom, and that is the presence of a jury, instead the judges are the ones who review the evidence and make a decision. In a typical Republic courtroom, there are three judges that review and deliberate on the evidence, then come together and present their judgement.
Type: Representative Republic, with strong military traditions
Leaders: Chancellor Abigail Dasmon is the current Chancellor of the Republic this is her first term in office, third year. Abigail comes the northernmost region of republic and use to run with the Militarist (Center-Right faction, concerned with the military and protection of the country) faction, she previously served as a Captain in the mechanized infantry regiments.
Military
Doctrine:
Idea: Highly mobile, adaptive, combined arms, balanced nordic like army
The Republic Armed Forces doctrine is mostly built around the idea of total defense, everything from government to the economy has been planned to aid the defense of the FR in times of conflict, especially when it comes to the invasion of Fenvaria Territory. Since the Republic has adopted a high intensity warrior culture and are highly territorial they tend to fight to the last combatant when they are holding a position, only retreating to take up new positions behind the front line. While they are moving to a new position other FR forces would move in and stage counter attacks, set traps, ambushes, and so on. This is done to delay the enemy as much as possible to let other units get into position. The main objectives of the RAF is to keep vital planets and objectives in FR possession, delay the enemy until reinforcements arrive, and drag out the fight as long as possible to make it as costly as possible.
Army
Overview: The Republic Army serves as our main terrestrial military force, they are responsible for both the defense of Federation worlds and the invasion of our enemies lands. The Republic takes great pride in the Army and currently this branch is currently our largest branch as its in our military doctrine to have a large ground force for the defense of the Republic. Troopers are also deployed in a wide array of battlegrounds anything from space to a radioactive wasteland, as they are trained in every environment and situation that we think would happen in a battleground and in war. The Army is quite mechanized, with most of the infantry units having IFVs, trucks, LRVs, and other mechanized vehicles. To also support this the Army has a strong core of all around mobile tanks, that are deployed with the infantry to support them. The idea of rapid aggression comes to mind, hitting hard, hitting fast, and with overwhelming firepower
Railforce
Overview: One of the more odd branches of the RAF this is more or less a branch that was made to appease the railroad enthusiasts during the FR’s industrialization, however, now it plays a role within the defense of the nation. As these railroad cars are now armored and armed, they also provide the railroad transportation that is needed to quickly move around troops. This branch is purely for support, however it does provide some offensive attack railroad cars.
Navy
Overview: The Navy is the water branch of the RAF, the navy is responsible for all water based operations. So anything from cargo escort, patrols, to space based engagements. From this the navy is also an adaptive highly mobile force; as the navy believes in a “hit hard, hit fast, and hit with overwhelming firepower”. Destroyers and light carriers (amphibious assault ships) are the backbone of the Republic navy as they can move faster than any other ship in the navy, this doesn't mean that the Navy lacks any heavy guns. As they do have a few cruisers on their end. The navy for the most part is not as prioritized as the army, not to mention the Fens don't have a great deal of coast when compared to some of its neighbors.
Air Force
Overview: The Air Force of the RAF is a rather prestigious branch, always looking for cutting edge materials and fighters. This branch is elite for the most part, as per the Fenvaria doctrine, the Air Force is made to show deterrence, be strong enough that the invading forces would think twice. For this the Air Force, has some of the most advanced fighters that the Fens can either buy or produce domestically. In conjunction with this, the Air Force is made to respond aggressively and quickly, keeping in mind the fens preferred way of fighting, hit hard and hit fast.
WMDs
Overview:
Economy
The Republic’s economy is what you would call capitalistic as private industry is allowed and wages are earned by job, how well can you do your job, and highly competitive. The FR economy is highly industrial, but has an agricultural industry to support itself. The major products that are produced in the Republic are weapons/military equipment, spacecraft, technology, machinery, minerals, foodstuffs, reactor parts and automobiles. Since the Republic is highly industrial most people enjoy cheaper manufactured goods of higher quality, often the FR products are known for their higher quality goods however they tend to be a bit more expensive than their competitors. Leading some of the other nations to see FR products as more upscale and more desirable. The private sector makes up about 80-85% of the FR economy with government holding the remaining 15-20%
- The FR is known for its more manufacturing capabilities as well it's more refined products, even in this the more notable products of the FR tend to be ships, weapons/military equipment, machinery, technologies, and other manufactured items. The economy is backed by energy production and has a stock market where private investors can invest in companies for profit and further the economy. The currency of the FR is called Golden Credit which is accepted throughout the FR as well as several other countries.
