Union of South Touli undergoing famine conditions, emergency government meeting called


President Vokoyo met with members of the UST government concerning vast shortages of food across the Union, grain production and stockpiles have prevented an absolute depletion of food and the creation of a famine but UST markets are utterly buckling from shortages. Farmers also warn the over production of wheat products could lead to field issues and malnourished farming. It's also become a concern as several South Toulians cannot get enough vitamin intake from the grain only supply. 

Vokoyo pledged to find sellers to provide food to the UST before the season change, but it also has highlighted other issues in the UST economy. Such as consumer goods and medicine, massive shortages have caused the economy to stutter and is heading toward a massive recession. Following the disarmament of several thousands of Union soldiers to prevent overspending this comes to highlight the motion was temporary in preventing another economic disaster in the UST. 


UST Xaspesh reach trade deal

President Fransisco and President Vokoyo have completed a multi million jewel trade deal that flows food from Xaspeshi to the UST and the UST becomes the Xaspeshi primary supplier of industrial gold and silver. The trade deal is tentative as it must use land routes through the kithium league, a manner in which the Xaspeshi have requested the Kithium respect the trade routes per their recent cooperation and good relations. While Xaspeshi doesn't fulfill everything the UST needs food wise, its a minor victory for the Vokoyo administration. 


Tafatu disarm 250,000 troops

The Tafatu Republic has ordered the disarming of over 250,000 soldiers, reports are that the young republic is struggling financially and to supply their military with enough munitions and smalls arms. President Kendaya stated the disarment was not something that came lightly with concerns of neighboring Shiysil and its dictator speaking of direct threats to the Republic. But the Republic is simply unable to sustain their army from the UST war and several Tafatu veterans are entering the struggling workforce.

Elerian capital under siege

Elerian rebels aligned with the Sovereign Union had laid siege to the capital of Iomairt, Imperator Lawrence has been removed and reports indicate that he could be preparing to leave the island for the Western islands as rebels slowly overtake the island. General Brown of the Loyalist forces has shown no intent to stop resisting rebel advancements as casualties continue to pile up. 

This coincides with Samurai forces defeating rebels at Rochi Bluff, reports show the Samurai who are mass recruiting locals and training them now have access to foreign weapons and its even been implied that foreign troops have entered to support them. The SU offered no comment on retaliation on nations sending supplies and troops to fight what they view as a active warfront for their bloc.

Price of fish goes up 3 cents

Fish, the most consumed food in Ouhiri has seen an increase in demand as the market price increased 3 cents. Companies in the UKUG, Marrlan and Roskana enjoyed the raise by market standards but some conservation groups worry about over fishing. 

Paulo Fransisco wins re-election in the Xaspeshi Federation

President Fransisco of the Xaspeshi Federation won his second term following election results last week, President Fransisco will serve an additional 4 years as the Federation's president. The victory over the Xagreau and growth in the national economy helped push him to a slim victory winning 59% of the vote. Critics have pointed to his failure to completely take back Xagreau as a state, allowing foreign states like the Kithium League and Mil'Nor to take it over partially as well as his failure to address further dependence on the UKUG as a trade partner despite his public statements on wanting to severe such ties. His critics have also called him a Reserian servant for refusing to address thousands of Reserian farmers owning vast swaths of farmland and over half of the agricultural industry in Xaspeshi over the majority ethnic Xaspesh people. 
Ethno nationalist groups have verbally declared that protests will be planned to demand Reserian farmers leave the country and surrender their property to rightful Xaspeshi.
