Rashirian Government - Official Report
Classification: Oligarchy
Descriptor: Corporate
Political Alignment: TBD
System of Rule: Ownership thru stock/share

Governing Body: Board of Rashiri
AKA: BoR, The Board
Terminology:
Jaunce (n, plu. Jaunci); majority shareholder of a region
Karifne (n, plu. karif); Entity granted right of rule of city-state on account of shares owned
Overview:
Three regions exist within Rashiri, numbered 19, 21, 22. Each region is technically considered a corporate entity; the Jaunce of that region is the single person that exclusively owns minimum 50% or more shares of the region. Remaining shares are divided among external entities, whether other businesses entities or individual shareholders. Regions contain city-states governed by significant regional shareholders, typically 3% or greater, variation depending on city-state quantity and stock distribution. Only region stocks qualify in this regard; shareholders of private companies do not retain power unless owning shares in a region. City-states are subordinate to regions and are considered subsidiaries of individual regions.
Laws:
Jaunci pass major laws within their region independently; BoR may confer and pass sequences of agreed upon laws within each region. Karif are permitted to pass city-state regulations, provided the regulations do not directly contradict with regional laws. City-states from one regions are not subject to laws passed by another region. Note: outside of region shareholding, independent businesses are not owned by Rashiri or any of its regions, hold no relations with regions beyond citizenship, and are treated little different from citizens; businesses are considered individual entities, separate from the owner(s).
Freedom:
Citizens are permitted large amounts of freedom, with economic freedom being legally protected to great extents across all regions (refer to Rashirian Economic Report). Political rights is functionally related to economic freedom. Cultural regulation is extremely lax, as is regulation for reedom of expression and other social rights. Recreation is largely unrestricted. Note: these reports are based on existing laws and regulations across all Rashirian regions and do not address how monetary and social factors can alter civil liberties.
Utilities:
All utilities are provided for by businesses, extending to water, electric, food, policing, fire rescue, medicine, etc. Regions contract private militaries and police forces. City-states must contract their own utilities, including fire rescue, additional policing, and other emergency services not named in this report. These resources are available for individuals to hire as well. Citizens and businesses are expected to contract external companies for water and electric, housing, and additional utilities, though rarely city-states may offer these.
