Despite the extreme conditions at home, Marrish foreign policy was followed to a T, and all republican states and rebellions that had some line of communication with Marrlan were pinged to see if support could be provided. The Orthorian Republican rebels were one such group, and a telegram was discreetly sent to properly establish communications under wartime conditions.

The state of the Orthorian rebels fighting Oflya and, by extension, Verak and the rest of the SU was problematic, to say the least. Manpower was not an issue - anyone who had fighting spirit and could hold a gun was invited. The problem, however, stemmed from the universal problem that both the rebels and the government faced. Limited supplies of both weapons and munitions. Weapons would last for a while - munitions, not so much. As the Solidarists were given control over the port city of Drezon in the Sarna region so that they could coordinate war materiel distribution, they were in possession of the means to contact the outside world.
When Marrlan came knocking (metaphorically speaking), the Solidarists were eager to reach out to them, wanting to see where this unexpected cooperation would go.

The Marrish entourage would greet them warmly and thank them for accepting their communications on such short notice. They offered munition and small arms support, with a preliminary 12,000 units of small arms and 30,000 munitions to keep them going for a while.

The offer was graciously accepted, and the Solidarists were quick to notify the Marrish that the seas around the port of Drezon were, for the time being, free of SU harassment. How quickly that could change, however, they weren't at liberty to even guess.
