Despite very clear ideological... differences a telegram was dispatched to the king of the Elerian loyalists wishing to speak on the terms of an actionable plan to divert rebel attention and open a new front. Marrish high command would wait with baited breath.

It took a while given the chaos, but eventually the Marrish telegram was received, read, and a response had been dispatched by the Imperator personally.
"If you wish to speak with me, very well, consider this an opening of a dialogue between our two peoples. However, I would be most grateful if you would please keep two things in mind. First, my resources are very limited at the moment and in relatively constant peril, or at least they will be until I can regain my grip on the Imperium. Second, kings rule kingdoms. My title is Imperator, you would do well to keep that in mind."

The Marrish response was slightly delayed considering issues on the homefront, but their response arrived all the same.
"Our apologies Imperator. The plan requires none of your war material or manpower. We will begin a Naval invasion of the secessionists. With the seasons changing, conditions are ideal for opening this new front to take pressure off of you. We reached out to alert you of this, and to ask if coordination with the Samurai who share their homeland with you is possible."

“I’m sorry, but they fucking WHAT?!” Marina was seething as she gripped the telegram that had been dispatched by the Republic of Marrlan. The communications officer that had handed the telegram off to her flinched at the outburst. This kind of anger was something that one could reasonably see coming from Laurence, but the Imperatrix? Within most of the country she had a reputation for being rather gentle. “I have no clue who calls the shots over in that sorry excuse for a republic, but they’d better get their ducks in a row fast before I take this as an act of war.”
“Ma’am, respectfully, I don’t think we have the capacity to wage a war like that at the moment. You’ve only just reclaimed yo-”
“I know, but this is a direct infringement on our sovereignty. As if we would ever take something like this lying down.”
“Very well ma’am, your orders?”
“Tell them that if they wish to spare their troops a pleasant stay in a POW camp, they’ll kindly get their asses out of my country and we can sweep this whole misstep under the rug and act like none of it ever happened. If so much as a single fucking cartridge is fired in the general direction of Elerian or Niaorin troops, we’ll take it as an act of war, and give them no quarter.”
"Aye ma'am, I'll see it done." The officer replied, nervously rendering a salute before taking his leave. As soon as he had returned to his office, the telegram would be dispatched in rather exacting detail.

The Marrish response would once again come with a delay,
"We were under the impression that assistance would be required, we apologize. Regardless, other nations who oppose Galra require assistance that can only be provided swiftly through access to your land. We would like to negotiate terms for such a movement if possible along with further cooperation. Our forces will return to their staging areas ASAP. We strongly urge this cooperation, as once there is no further pressure to be applied to other nations, Galra will most certainly reassess and set its sights upon your people once more."
