[Research] Guns For the Cause

With several projects in the works set on the rapid militarization of Roskanan economy, and a plan in motion to transition from an infantry based force to one more reliant on combined arms, it rapidly became clear that new tank based guns were needed to strengthen the underpowered military forces already fighting on the front.

Two separate gun projects were put in place, the T1 90mm (3.5 inch) medium antitank gun and the T1 155mm (6.1 inch) heavy antitank gun.

Attached to these projects were design teams to assist in creating turrets to fit the guns, rather than guns to fit the turrets, in order to allow Research teams more freedom in the specifications of each gun.

After several weeks spent developing bigger and more powerful guns, significant progress was made in striking a balance in both barrel weight and length so as to allow easier transverse of a the turret and less wear upon subsystems in charge of raising and lowering the main gun.

These new guns were known as the T3 90mm (3.5 inch) medium antitank gun and the T2 155mm (6.1 inch) heavy tank gun respectively.

Alongside this, both guns' ammunition had their propellant length significantly extended, further increasing the total amount of armor penetration they could handle.
