The time had come, Galra's naval invasion of Eleria and Western Elenria. 250,000 standard troops, 100 light tanks, 200 armored cars, 400 field guns, 40 aircraft carrier fighter/bombers all escorted by 10 battleships, 20 heavy cruisers, 10 super cruisers and 40 corvettes.
The navy pressed a channel of control inbetween the Elerian island and Elenrian coast and Elerian mainland coastline. Shelling anything they saw regardless of a military target or not, boats full of soldiers would be sent onto the Elerian island, Elerian continental territories and Western Elenria.
The massive invasion had two goals, kill the Elerian government and conquer Elenria. The infantry would storm the beaches of Elerian territories against whatever resistance they would face while the Galran reinforcements to what was left of the SU forces in Western Elenria would link up with them to continue the conquest of Elenria.

The Elerian effort to prepare for invasion had been swift. The navy had done what little they could to shell the Galran vessels from the shoreline, as well as sending all manner of patrol vessels and as much of the Imperial Navy as they could to defend against the foreign aggressors. On both sides of the channel, machine gun crews, mortar and field artillery teams, heavy infantry, and a whole heap of riflemen stood at the ready to hold the shoreline, their feet dug in deep as they mentally readied themselves for the veritable hell that was about to descend upon them. Despite the technological superiority of Galran naval aviation, Eleria's bomber and fighter squadrons stood at the ready to wreak as much havoc as possible, fully intent on spilling as much blood as possible.
Behind all these defenses, the cities were hastily prepared for invasion. The citizenry of the Imperium stood ready to take up arms in defense of their homes, each equipped with the rifles they’d been issued when they enlisted in the Imperial Military, as well as the knowledge and expertise they needed to bring them to bear against hostile forces. Many opted to don their old uniforms once again and join the defenders in hopes that Galran boots wouldn’t find their way off the beaches.
Laurence, for one, was furious. It had taken him quite some time to recover to the point of being able to return home, but he was still far from fit to fly. If he had his way, he’d be up there in the skies with the rest of the fighter squadrons, leading the charge against this most unwelcome guest. Alas, he knew quite well that the guns of the Galran fighters would be nothing compared to the wrath of the Imperatrix, should he disobey the doctor’s orders. So, determined to turn the tables in the skies following the invasion, he gave an order to the Elerian aviators. Any Galran aircraft shot down were to have their locations reported, that way Elerian engineers could get their hands on even more examples of hostile technology and use it for their own ends.
In all, the Elerians were fully intent on playing their defense very tightly. They were confident in their training, their arms, and their ability. This was their life, their purpose. Just as they’d carved out a level of prosperity for themselves in spite of the hostile land they called home, they’d carve a scar deeply in the Galran forces. They’d prove to the world that the sons of Eleria were the most hardened of men, that the Imperial Standard would not fall until there wasn’t a soul left to hold it high. This was their solemn vow, and they would see it upheld no matter the cost.

The thunder of Galran naval guns made day 1 of the invasion of Eleria a day of ruin.
The Elerian navy offered meager resistance until Galran firepower began destroying entire ships, if the Elerian ships remained they surely faced extermination, Galran infantry landed on beaches meeting intense resistance. No matter where they stepped foot on, the Elerians met them. The re-enlisted regulars on the Imperial mainland or the army of the Imperator and Imperatrix on Eleria proper, they all spent brass to spill blood defending their homeland.
Galran general Clyde Monroe was in charge of the Galran reconquista of Eleria, bellowing from a set of loudspeakers from the IGS Bravada, "GREETINGS you lowly inbred savages, I am General Monroe! I am here to re admit your smelly and dirty barbarian state back into what was promised us by your so called, Emperor Gulliver. You are in direct violation of your Imperial State and your genetic superiors! Surrender! And only half the males living will be gelded as a response. I will be a kind governor, a good governor. I will lift this shit pile you call a nation to a proper state of the Imperial State of Galra. I will even allow SOME of you to breed on, but further resistance will not only convince me that allowing your continuation as a race is a good idea...I might have to slit your children's throats to prevent problems later on. Go ahead and surrender, you've lost!"
Galran infantry began pushing harshly against Elerian troops on the Northern beaches of Eleria and the Western coast of the Imperium. They needed to establish a proper beach head to land tanks and artillery, receiving naval battery support and carrier aircraft. Galran fighters had a special assignment, destroy all Elerian fighters, the fact the Elerians had Lancer technology was insulting enough. Worst yet, the threat of a power having air supremacy in Touli made Galra's Toulian war at risk at best.
