A telegram arrives at the communications room of the Emerald Empire's embassy, addressed to the Anton McCaig from the Amalian Secretary of State, Leonardo Gentilini. A simple letter, typed in haste - much less eloquent than one would expect the international relations doctor to write in.
Yet, the Secretary of State was not alone in this meeting. Nay, the President, following his speech to the nation, is accompanying the Secretary for this endeavor. The President will be arriving shortly after his cabinet meeting following wartime production and troop movements, and approving the first operations in the war against Verak. For the moment, the Secretary was standing by in a sound-tight room, Amalian soldiers standing by. The room is furnished nicely: large, dark oak table, comfortable chairs, a new-fangled air conditioning device, but no windows. The room was on the interior of the building, hidden away from the outside world.

Amali and Ulster-Gaelia had their mortal enemies afoot. Their people, unfortunately, finding themselves heading into a war they didn't ask for, but now were determined to see the conclusion. Verak's invasion of Amali signaled the nation's entrance, and now this will change. For a year the Emerald Empire funded the world, delivering guns and munitions; yet, everything has its limit. Now, it was time for the financial and industrial districts of Amali to teach the world what wartime production really means. Amali's arsenals and factories would be open to her new-found allies, to deliver medicine, food, guns, and socks to the front lines in such quantities that the Confederation of Nations would believe the war was over and life returned to normal.
It was time for Amali to join the global effort to rid the world of the accursed Sovereign Union, and reaffirm to her closest ally the commitment of seeking unconditional surrender against Verak and Galra.
