National League of Baseball	Pesapalli Rahvusliiga

The National League of Baseball (NLB) [Koian: Pesapalli Rahvusliiga (PRL)] consists of 11 professional teams and 7 qualified semi-professional teams, though efforts are underway to include more professional teams in order to establish a more balanced league. Playing for four months from Astillia to Fessera, the NLB ends each year with the top four teams participating in a small tournament with the semi-finals being a best of 5 game competition, and the Finals being a best of 7. Learned from the Lusatians, Football is a sport that has gained strong traction in Koi. Managed by the Koian Football League (KFL) [Koian: Koiani Jalgpall Liiga (KJL)], there are officially 8 professional football teams in Koi. The National Auto Racing Association of Koi (NARAK) [Koian: Riiklik Autosvõiduliit Koi (NASUK)] consists of 50 teams, totalling to 116 racers. NARAK runs for three months between Achsen to Bellien. Tetra Ring

A strictly Koian sport, Tetra Ring consists of 20 teams managed by the Tetra Ring Club (TRC) [Koian: Kolme Ringi Klubi (KRK)]. There are also several teams across several schools in the Koian states, namely within states with large Koian populations. Tetra Ring requires the use of flight, which only Koians are capable of. There are two goals at each end of the field, one large and one small, which players must attempt to throw the ball through; the large for two points and the small for five points. Food Edition

Within the Republic of Koi, the average citizen follows a meal schedule of BREAKFAST [HOMMIKUSOOK], LUNCH [LOOUNASOOK], and DINNER [OOTUSOOK]. Depending on how spaced out these meals are, some may also include a snack [ahnuhsook], usually between lunch and dinner.

Hommikusook [Breakfast]

Grains, fruits, and berries are the staple of a Koian breakfast. Most any establishment that sells Koian breakfast foods will see a grain-dominated dish with some sort of sweetener and a side of fresh fruits, berries, or nuts.

The most popular breakfast food in the Republic of Koi are fluffy pancakes. These pancakes are well liked for their light consistency. Generally served plain with some butter and syrup, which can be flavored, and a side of berries or fruits.

Following behind fluffy pancakes are stuffed pancakes. Many establishments love to make a denser pancake stuffed with jams, jellies, or chocolate. Honey-filled pancakes are common sight year round, though are especially popular in the spring and summer. Jam/Jelly-filled pancakes are a common sight during the late summer and autumn months when the fruit harvest occurs. Winter months are known for their chocolate or caramel-filled pancakes, dense in calories and perfect for the cold. In many immigrant restaurants, heartier fillings such as meat, eggs, or potatoes are beginning to catch on.

Equally, within the Eastern region of Koi, Maizan Toast is a very popular breakfast dish made from Maizi cinnamon, eggs, milk, and, of course, bread. This is usually topped with berries and syrup, though some places like to add nuts, butter, or chocolate.

Loounasook [Lunch]

Many Koians will typically eat a fruit or berry salad for lunch. The base is typically a leafy green like a lettuce or spinach, along with a couple types of berries or fruits and some nuts for protein. It normally is topped with a vinaigrette or herbal dressing.

On the heartier side of lunch meals, Siimopuder is a traditional porridge-style dish made from barley, mashed potatoes, and some form of meat, typically as ground beef or chopped sausage. In recent years, many homemade recipes see the inclusion of milk to make the porridge creamier. Some regions will add additional toppings such as bacon, onions, bread, cabbage, or honey.

For those more on the go, a typical dish, especially for miners and farmers, are Toorakased. Toorakased are a pastry made with a minced and spiced filling. Different regions prefer different fillings; some prefer vegetable fillings with carrots, turnips, onions, and zucchini; some prefer heartier meals with cheeses and ham; and along the coast one can find variants with cheese and fish or vegetables and fish.

Ootusook [Dinner]

Sides

The easiest side to make for dinners is Lillkapsas Juustukastmes, a cheesy cauliflower dish that is generally made to serve a whole table. Some may garnish with breadcrumbs or scallions, while others may use it to top slices of bread.

Leivasupp is sweet soup made from black rye bread and apples, sometimes servered with sour cream or whipped cream. The latter is sometimes additionally seasoned with cinnamon. Typically served before or alongside a main dish.

Main Dishes

Frikadellisupp is a simple, filling, warm dish to fill the soul. Made with a meat broth, meatballs, rooty vegetables like carrots, potatoes, peaks, and onions, and a cruciferous vegetable like cauliflower or broccoli.

Pork Roast with Sauerkraut. For the meat lovers out there, a pork or beef roast is usually served during feasts. It is generally spiced in herbs, though in recent years, households around Kraater Lake have been seasoning the roast with jams ranging from grape jam to cranberry jam to orange jam. It is usually served with sauerkraut, roasted potatoes, and roasted carrots.

Potato Salad. Depending on who's making it and how filling they make it, this dish can be a simple side dish or as filling as a main dish on its own. The base of the salad is made with boiled potatoes and carrots, then mixed with grated boiled egg, cucumbers, sliced apples, and some will additionally add smoked sausages, which is then dressed with a sour cream and mayonnaise sauce. Some will additionally add peas and scallions as a topping.

Ahnuhsooked [Snacks]

A staple snack food of Koians are Pramtainas, directly translating to "Fried Dough". Typically filled with meats, cheeses, and/or vegetables, these are a very versatile snack food. Usually served with some sort of dipping sauce. When filled with sweets, also makes for a great dessert.

Rukkileib, or Black Rye Bread, is the most common bread baked within the Republic and a staple among households everywhere. It can even be purchased as a street food, usually served with a side of yogurt, sour cream, or whipped cream, depending on person's taste. For feasts, it's usually served as an appetizer or as a side dish to a dinner meal.

Maguchehred [Desserts]

The healthiest of the dessert options, Atswuhkoopipoovilyu, directly translating to "Baked Fruits", takes fleshy core fruits, typically apples, and hollow them out before filling them with a mixture of sugar or honey, raisins, cinnamon, and hazelnuts before being baked.

Babka is a mixed sweet bread dessert, usually filled with chocolate, cinnamon, or sweet fruits.

Mannavaht is a sweet Porridge made from cranberry juice, water, and sugar. After cooling, it is frothed and then added attop milk and served with berries. This dish is also served as a breakfast food in some areas of Koi.

Vastlakukkel are sweet rolls and the most popular dessert within Koi. A wheat bun spiced with cardamom, hollowed out and filled with sweetened whipped cream and/or berry jams, and then the top is placed back on and topped with powdered sugar. This is also a popular street vendor food due to its simplicity.

Jooked [Drinks]

The most common drink one can find Koians drinking is Magusvroiya, directly translating to "Sweet Water". It is made from water and sugar, making for a refreshing drink that reinvigorates the body during work.

During the summer and especially during harvest seasons, Stroimohtka is a popular drink among the local population. Fresh fruits and/or berries are submerged in water and allowed to steep for hours to even days, giving the water a very fruity taste and changing the water's color as the juices seep out.

During the winter months, Spruhmohtka takes over as the popular drink. Dried fruits and/or berries are used instead of fresh, allowing for easier production during the winter.

Kona, or Soda, has been rising in popularity since its introduction. The most popular version is Poovilya Kona, or Fruit Soda, in which Stroimohtka or Spruhmohtka is carbonated to produce a soda-like drink. Marya Kona is a close second, made from berries instead of fruits.

Vehnee, or wine, is a popular alcoholic drink among the adult population. Typically made from fruits and berries, it is a popular drink of choice for feasts and celebrations. It is typically made from pomegranates, cranberries, apples, elderberries, dandelions, rose hips, cherries, and during the summer months pineapples. Another popular variant are floral wines, usually made from roses, dandelions, marigolds, primroses, ghost plants, or globemallows.

Vodka is a popular alcoholic drink out of Lõuna Koi, made in and around the capital city of Vodka, hence its name. Typically made from rye grains or distilled potatoes, it's a heavy, hearty drink that's popular at parties.
