With the ongoing war and technological developments locally and worldwide, the Dirian Federal Ministry of Education and Research has maintained its pride in its organization. Its feat? Managing, overseeing, and providing help to hundreds of projects while working in collaboration with the other Dirian Federal Ministries, the Federal Ministry of Education and Research, primarily the Research half, is ready to meet the test if it is willing to succeed and do best by the Dirian people and the nation's allies worldwide.

Diria, having its eastern border in constant back-and-forth urban combat with the Verak, has led to severe, fierce, and deadly house-to-house fighting. However, this fighting, and with the Army's restricted resources, especially in sieges, has led to numerous impromptu tactics and makeshift equipment done by individual soldiers or even being produced and supplied to company-sized units. Nonetheless, one of the prominent examples of this collective improvisation has been steel plates that soldiers customarily devise or buffet into body armor. These makeshift plates usually, despite being cumbersome, hindering, or even ineffective, the concept itself provide soldiers with a sense of comfort. Yet, more interesting, and if the steel has been treated and molded sufficiently, especially by those with the ability, as seen with engineering squads, some improvised armor provides legitimate protection against shrapnel and 9mm rounds. These examples have provided the Dirian Army, and subsequently Armed Forces, with the sufficient belief that steel armor, or armor in general, has a place within its ranks, more likely being special forces or engineering battalions. Therefore, using some of the better examples of improvised armor and also statements from soldiers, the Dirian Armed Forces, with the Federal Ministry of Education and Research, has begun investing resources into developing a steel chest plate armor consisting of two plates for more effortless movement, and each capable of stopping fragments or shrapnel, and have cloth backers to cushion possible impacts. However, the top plate would be rated to handle .303 rounds with steel and lead cores, and the bottom plate would be able to handle .45 rounds with steel or lead cores. Furthermore, the initiative plans to experiment with a new domestic helmet based upon the Marrish Infantry Head Shell 1906 design with leather liner, leather chinstraps, increased protection, and shells produced with domestic materials and manufacturing methods.
