Overview
The Republic Army serves as our main terrestrial military force, they are responsible for both the defense of Republic lands and the invasion of enemy lands. The Republic takes great pride in the Army and currently this branch is currently our largest branch as it is in the Republic’s military doctrine to have a large ground force for the defense of the Republic. Troopers are also deployed in a wide array of battlegrounds, and thus they are trained in most environment and situation that we think would happen in a battleground and in war. The Army is quite mechanized, with most of the infantry units having IFVs, trucks, LRVs, and drop ships. To also support this the Army has a strong core of all-around mobile tanks, that are deployed with the infantry to support them. The idea of rapid aggression comes to mind, hitting hard, hitting fast, and overwhelming firepower.

Trooper
Info: Troopers are the most basic form of infantry in the Republic Armed Forces (RAF). They are very loyal to the Republic and their squad as most of them form close bonds on and off the battlefield, most of these bonds are created during basic training. They are trained to be both free-thinking and to follow orders, this allows them to be combat effective and have a moral decision. Troopers are usually deployed in a wide array of combat and non-combat roles, they are also deployed in squads of eight. Two riflemen, two grenadiers (one is a High Sergeant, the other is the subordinate officer), two heavy weapons, 1 marksman, 1 medic.
When it comes to ranks, the rank of the trooper is placed on the upper right chest of the armor plate and would be colored. For example, a High Sergeant would have a gold diamond over three gold chevrons this then would sit on the upper right side of the chest. Meanwhile, unit patches of the Republic Army are simple. Above the insignia, is the battalion number. Then behind the insignia there is a shape, this shape has one purpose and that is to indicate what regiment they belong to. Under the insignia is the battalion motto. On top of the unit patch there would be a ribbon that denotes the trooper’s legion number.
Appearance: All Troopers wear the standard-issue BDU (Battle Dress Uniform) which is made up of two parts, fatigues, and the helmet. The fatigues are usually colored in a dark grey color to help blend in with the soil of earth as well as urban environments. Over their fatigues the troopers wear a double breasted pea coat, that goes to about knee length. This peacoat is normally has an army green color to it, however, like the fatigues this can be colored differently. As for head protection, the troopers wear a grey colored steel helmet that has steel covers for ears. Inside of these ear covers there is padding to increase comfort.
For weapons, the troopers are often equipped with your standard issue infantry weapons, rifleman troopers are given M3 semi auto rifles, marksmen are given M2 bolt action, scope varies but is usually a 2-4x high power scope
, then High Sergeants are usually given a M4 submachine gun, also has an M2 sidearm. Heavy weapon specialists are usually armed with a M64 Heavy Automatic Rifle. Then finally for grenadiers, these soldiers are usually armed with M3 semi auto rifles and several more grenades.
Accessories: As mentioned before the Mk VI Armor set is made to be customizable, meaning there is a slew of different accessories that can be added or removed on the armor. This could be extra pouches, different load-bearing kits, extra knives, communication gear, and so on. Troopers are also equipped with a standard-issue shortsword bayonet. This bayonet has a blade length around 17-30cm long and sits on the trooper’s hip. This item also functions as their knife when it comes to a weapon of last resort. They are also equipped with a survival ax that can also be used in close-quarters combat.
Commissar
Info: Commissars are less so political officers and more so mediators for Fenvarian battalions. They serve as specialized role in the regular army for both enforcing/improving battlefield morale, however, mostly being a voice of restraint when it comes to officers and troopers. If it is not apparent, the Fenvaria are an extremely territorial and tenacious culture, if you tell them to hold a position they will hold it to their last breath. This means they will often fight to the last man to hold a position, before the last trooper in the unit calls in an artillery strike. Seeing this to be a major hindrance and potential source of massive casualties, the Commissar role was created.
Appearance: The commissar uniform does not really deviate too much from the standard issue trooper uniform. So they use the standard-issue BDU (Battle Dress Uniform) which is made up of two parts, fatigues, the head gear. The fatigues are usually colored in a digital grey and dark grey color to help blend in with the soil of earth as well as urban environments, however, this camo can change depending on the environment. Over their fatigues the troopers wear the same peacoat as the troopers.
However the few differences in the uniform are that of the head gear, great coat and gear. When it comes to head gear, the commissar doesn't wear the standard issue patrol cap or helmet. Instead they wear an all black Kepi with a gold band around the base of the cap and with gold trimming. Their great coats while in the same army green as the troopers, instead have blue collars with a gold trim on the edges of the collar. Another thing that differs between a trooper and the commissar is weaponry. While troopers are outfitted with all sorts of weapons commissars are normally out fitted with either submachine guns as their primary weapons. With swords and a pistol being their secondary weapons.
