Being two of the oldest monarchies and the UK having supported the Lusatian nation for years, Queen McDonald felt it imperative to increase diplomatic relations with Lusatia.
A telegram detailing her wish to visit the country would arrive in Kazimierzgrad awaiting a response.

The Lusatian government, led by the Prime Minister, was highly in favor of one of Lusatia's closest allies visiting the nation and tasked the Interior Minister to oversee the preparations and security for the Queen's visit. While it was unlikely there'd be any trouble during her visit, a large segment of the Lusatian populace was anti-monarchist and the government wished to not take any chances.
With the government in favor, King Stanislaw IV sent a response telegram gratefully accepting her desire to visit, and inviting her to come as soon as she was able.

Queen McDonald's escort began departing the islands with her usual armed escort guard, the Black cloaks, once they arrived in Lusatia they would abide by security measures within the Commonwealth. They would then let the Lusatians escort the group to the meeting place where King Stanislaw would be waiting.

Notably, the Lusatian Foreign Minister was there as well. A life-long member of the Lusatian Liberal Party, he was the nation's most notable diplomat, likely there to be the elected government's voice in any negotiations.
King Stanislaw would warmly welcome the Queen and her escorts, "It's a pleasure to welcome Her Majesty to the United Kingdoms of Lusatia and Jzegrad. I trust there was no issues with your journey?"
A few of the Lusatian Royal Guards in the room would move chairs for Queen's delegation to sit in, if they so chose to.

Queen McDonald would return the warm gesture, "The trip was no issue at all, I am always happy to visit a nation of such high prestige. My mother was here last, unfortunately that was also during the Great War. But I am amazed at how Lusatia has recovered."
Queen McDonald and her entourage would sit down, her Black Cloaks had eyes constantly moving about despite being in the presence of friends. Some even admired the Royal Guards arms and uniforms.

The King nodded, "It is marvelous the spirit of the people: though there is division, at times, nonetheless, every Lusatian comes together to help better his or her country, each in their own way. It is quite similar to the industrious spirit of the people of your realm, if I understand correctly."
Stanislaw gestured at a butler in the room, who would offer the Queen a glass of wine, before preparing a glass for the King, himself. Smiling as he took a sip, he asked the Queen, "For what purpose are we hosting your delegation? If for pleasure, there are a great multitude of sights to see across the nation, and myself and the court would be glad to entertain you during such a visit, but if it is for business, my good friend and Foreign Minister, here," he said, gesturing to the man sitting to his left, "is an able man, carrying the full support of the elected Cabinet with him."
In the background, the Royal Guards found themselves much in the same position as their Black Cloak counterparts. More than a couple were found themselves jealous by the slightly more functional dark coloring of the Black Coats uniforms; the ceremonial bright garbs of the Royal Guards being considered more of a nuisance for show, nowadays.

Queen McDonald grinned as she took some wine, "I have come here to expand the United Kingdom's ties with Lusatia and to update our current arrangement to that of a Mutual Defense and Optional Aggression Treaty. The UK can provide immense naval protections for Lusatian shipping and protect Nowa Lusatia, in return we would like to have Lusatia as our primary political and regional ally on the continent."

The King seemed ready to respond positively, but glanced over to the Foreign Minister to see his reaction prior to giving assent. The Foreign Minister nodded, silently, and the King turned back, smiling, and said to the Queen, "I believe that is acceptable, yes. Our nations have historically worked closely together, and it'd be a shame to allow old partnerships grow weak in this day and age. I am obligated to inquire, though, who would be the target of the 'optional aggression' part of the pact? The UCV? Or do you have some other power in mind?"

The Queen put on a more serious face, "The UCV is a total unknown, I have my Prime Minister visiting them to determine what the UCV will upfront deal in a world of nations that go against the grain of their ideology. Their revolution was a violent and horrid event, that being said, the UK is keeping an eye on several nations in the world. The Great War changed the old hegemony's grip on the world and now we live in uncertain times. Ada Koi could decide to refuse staol to the world, Galra could try to expand its empire, the East could erupt in war that spreads across the continent. I'm afraid we don't know who our enemies are yet, but we know who our friends are and we are determined to protect the UK's oldest ally."

The Lusatian King nodded, "And it is our pleasure to stand by Ulster-Gaelia when it is threatened, too."
The Foreign Minster coughed, and excused himself, saying, "What do you make of Kumosenkan? Though we fought together in the Fifth Staol War, many in Lusatia are... apprehensive of the idea of further partnership with them. The government has sent diplomats, but until they report on their mission, there's still going to be uncomfortable air between our nations, especially since we embargoed them following their attack on your nation, prior to the Fifth Staol War."

“The olive branch they extended during the siege of Gaelia was surprising. Throughout most of the war we fought alongside the kumo and with their armada we ended the naval war, destroying the Galra Emperor’s fleet. I won’t lie, many in parliament opposed expanding relations even after the global war with galra, but the empress of kumo wanted to start over and do did we. We now have a strong oceanic alliance with them and will soon be allied with amali. I also feel it necessary to point out, they have more than gone out of their way to fix relations between every aspect of Gaelia and Kumo down to basic civilian perception. So to shorten my long answer, we think better of them.”

"Lusatia remains cautious of them. Until diplomatic efforts reach their conclusion, we must continue to consider them a threat to Nowa Lusatia, just like when they seized your territory in the past. Being on our side in the recent war is a good start to rebuilding relations, but our official stance is that it is only a start."
After that, the Lusatian government (the Conservative one from before the election) had little more to discuss regarding things, and began to make small-talk, clearly waiting to see if the Gaelians had anything to add before the meeting ended.

The small talk would dwindle until the meeting was finally adjourned and the Gaelian Queen and her entourage would depart back home. After a few weeks, the Gaelian embassy staff would arrive with appointed Ambassador Percy Winslow over the embassy. Following the elections and the surprising results, Percy under orders from Prime Minister Moriarty requested an audience with the new administration to weigh the administration's views of the alliance and the future it would have.

The new Lusatian Foreign Minister, Ramūnas Valantinas, invited Ambassador Winslow to his office to discuss the future of Lusatian-Gaelian relations after receiving the request.
Welcoming the man into his office, it would be noticeable to anyone that had seen the room before just how much the new Foreign Minister had changed the office, clearing out a few of the bookcases that had made the room feel somewhat cramped, opening the room's window to the outside, letting in the fresh breeze, and setting up the banner of the SLP, a red banner affixed with the party's acronym in white above a dove holding an olive branch, itself flanked on either side by the hammer and sickle, on a wall adjacent to the Lusatian flag, clearly indicating the Minister's love of his party.
Welcoming in the Gaelian Ambassador warmly, he moved over to a side table where a coffee pot sat, still steamy from the recently brewed coffee contained within. Turning around, with a mug of coffee in hand, he spoke to Winslow.
"Care for a cup? I'd offer tea, but it'd take me some time to make it myself, and I figured you wouldn't want to wait around in here, alone."

"Coffee is fine, thank you." Winslow would accept the cup and held it carefully to let it cool before drinking, "I want to congratulate you and your party with the recent elections, quite a stir there. I have asked for this meeting I am sure you know, to see how this new administration views the crown of Ulster-Gaelia."
