Emperor announces plans to retire
Our dear Emperor, Henry III, has announced yesterday afternoon that he shall be retiring from the throne next year due to his old age. While many are sad to see him go, the public is equally enthusiastic about Princess Charlie being crowned Empress, becoming the youngest monarch to be crowned, at just 23 years old.
Polio vaccine in development
Spokesman for the Center for Disease Control, John McRenald has issued a statement that as the nation's top medical scientists are hard at work, they are approaching a breakthrough on developing a vaccine against Polio which, while manageable in spread, has a relatively low recovery rate. As during the last couple years the number of cases increased dramatically, the push for a vaccine has become ever harder. McRenald did not give any specifics on when the vaccine will be ready, but he promises that soon it shall be available to the public.
Internationale announced in UCV: Fringe parties consider attending?
The UCV has announced the gathering of the Internationale, proving to the world that they champion communistic and socialist ideas for all the world. Members of the Communist Party of Galra and even one member of the Democrat Party have publicly expressed interest in attending. While the president had issued a statement that as per Galra ideals of freedom, they shall not be stopped, interviewing several thousand randomly selected citizens suggests that the public, overall, is not enthusiastic about the decision to increase Galra's foreign involvement.

Polls show slow but steady popularity growth of new political party
Latest polls have shown the changes in the popularity of political parties, both large and not large enough to have seats in the House and Senate, in comparison to their popularity 6 months ago when polls were taken last time. Interesting to note that in this time a new party has been founded: Libertarian Party. It's chairwoman, Josephine Lightbourne, claims that their platform consists of resistance to authoritarian rules and politicians in all levels of government, de-regularization and minimization of taxation to the bare minimum. Such policies show to be especially popular in the Rural South, also known as Dixie, largely populated by the Nardri demihumans, who hold especially dear the values of our great nation's Founding Fathers. It is important to note that the polls represent the average popularity of the parties among polled citizens over the age of 18. The polling has been limited to 10,000 citizens, with same average amounts from each region of the nation. This poll is not representative of any election results.
Republican Party: 62% (+ 2%) Democrat Party: 17% (-1%) Loyalist Party: 10% (unchanged)
Dixie Nationalist Party: 3% (+1%) Communist Party: 1% (-3%) Libertarian Party: 7% (New)
