Anasutashi walked down the halls of the palace. The servants bowed as he passed but he paid them little mind. He burst through a door and into a room. "Asa grab my bow!" The knight shot up from the couch as Anasutashi burst in.
Varena glanced up from her desk. "Are you going to steal my brother for something again?" she asked, continuing to work on documents. "And shouldn't you be doing your job?"
"I mean you aren't using him," Anasutashi said shrugging. "And I am tired of working. I'm getting Eqi."
Varena sighed and put down her pen. "Fine. I will get Ru." She wagged a finger at Anasutashi. "I am not letting you have fun on your own."
"Fine fine, just don't whine if I catch more than you."
"Right back at you."
The two royals smirked at each other before heading to the palace stables. There they went to their respective mounts. Anasutashi went to Eqi, a large silver bat. He held out his hand and the bat placed its' wing into it. "Ah Eqi. We are going to have some fun today." He glanced at Varena who was stroking her own bat, Ru. Ru was perhaps the largest bat in the stables, a large jet black bat. He smiled. "It's said that bonds reflect the personality of their riders," he called out.
"That's rude," Varena said with a frown. "I never would consider Eqi as childish as you." She flashed him a grin as she mounted up and tested her bow.
He responded by mounting up himself and patting Eqi. "We'll see who's a child once this hunt is over." He squeezed his knees causing Eqi to bolt out of the stables. The hunt was on.

Anasutashi drank his cup and held it out to be refilled. The dark red liquid filled the golden chalice. He tasted it again before placing it on the table. The room was silent as the Council waited for him to speak. He smiled internally. He was yet to be crowned yet he already had control of the Council. Of course this was to be expected as the heir of the Gods. He leaned back in the chair before finally speaking. "Have our guests settled in?" "They have your majesty," Kurau said nodding. "The guests seem to not be disturbed by their situation. From speaking with the returners I recommend keeping them from the stables and other areas. It seems as though we have different species above and below ground, and they stink and I would rather not scare the Bonds." "They do have a noticeable stench of the surface," Nikora said wrinkling his nose. "I never understood the fascination with the surface world." "Now now Nikora," Sutasukia said clicking her tongue disapprovingly. "His majesty clearly explained that working with the surface world would provide us with the potential for new and interesting products." She lifted her chalice. "Supposedly they find metals valuable that we have in abundance. So we will have to be careful with trade. Can't crash the market and render our easiest resource worthless."
Varena laughed. "I'm sure we can extract something of value from the guests. They have come from all over to attend the coronation of his majesty. This proves that at least they have an interest."
The nobles nodded and continued their discussion, going into deployments of garrisons and taxes taken from the lower nobility. Kouno watched them silently as he was, of course, a Low Pratic. His family had been the head servant have the Heavenly family for generations. He had personally raised the young Sovereign from birth. No one knew for sure why the Low Pratics never spoke a word, Kouno himself didn't know. They all felt as though they could speak if they tried, but whenever one got the idea to try some feeling would always stop them. Kouno himself never felt the need to speak. He also felt extremely loyal to his charge and was already raising his own children to take over from him once he finally passed. It was strange that his charge stopped aging at a certain point. While it was accepted it still was odd to grow old as they stayed young. He stepped forward as Anasutashi held out his chalice, once again filling it. He then stepped back taking in all the information that was being said. It was his job to be informed for his majesty after all.
