The Ministry of Foreign Affairs assigned Charles Wimberly to travel to Nueva to establish formal relations on behalf of the United Kingdom. A telegram detailing his arrival would be sent ahead.

The telegram, received and sent up the chain from the diplomatic offices until it was brought to the joint chiefs in a daily meeting, would eventually be replied to.
The details of said reply stated that Charles was welcome to travel to the city of Gran Santiago and that his arrival was welcome, though admittedly not expected for a fair deal of time unless he traveled in by air.

A UK passenger aircraft would arrive in Gran Santiago after a few days, Ambassador Charles Wimberly would step off the aircraft and await his hosts.

His arrival was prepared for ahead of time, and when he came in and landed he would be greeted by a collection of diplomatic agents, private security, and then a lot of cameramen. For several minutes he would be led inside of the airport and out of the relative cold, as the weather in this part of the country much like most of Nueva this time of the year was getting frigid, though no snow had yet fallen. Led through into the airport lobby, they'd be greeted by a Festria man and a pair of human envoys, the group greeting him with handshakes.
The Festria would greet him with a handshake.
"Sorry if we had to rush you around and that I couldn't meet you on the tarmac. We've been having a busy day all around." They'd say. "Still, it's a pleasure to meet you, Ambassador. Do you have a preferred title?" He'd ask them.

Charles appreciated the welcome and warmly responded, “just Mr. Wimberly, thank you for the welcome. I am honored to be in your country.”
