While maintaining the name of Cavalry, this Branch is, in fact, the collection of all motorized and mechanized units, from light APC's to heavy tanks. Commonly referred to as Śwoleżery (Śwoleżer for singular), after the heroic Lvyvonian Ulans who have almost singlehandedly defeated communist uprisings in the East

The Cavalry is, in the Tyvian Military hierarchy, considered part of the Army, and thus has same chief of staff and flag.

HISTORY OF ARMORED VEHICLES
During the civil war of 1914-1917, Tyvian Empire became the first nation to use armored vehicles and more importantly, tanks, in combat, pioneering this area of warfare.
Minerva Automobile
In the early 1900's, Tyvia has acquired a license for production of an early Staol-powered automobile from Ida Koi. When the war began, the Imperial Council announced that private businesses that contributed to the war effort would be greatly rewarded by the Emperor himself. Minerva Inc., the company licensing the Koian automobile, has answered the call by creating a conversion of their mass-produced car into a military vehicle, outfitted with armor and a machine gun.

At the same time, Putilov, a native Tyvian company that had it's own design, converted their own 1910 model luxury automobile into an armored variant with a fully-rotating turret.

Finally, in 1915, Daimler Motors have developed a fully-original armored car with a machine gun at first, an a light cannon later, in a fully rotating turret.

As the war progressed, however, the Imperial Army's demands went up, especially when it came to maneuverability and protection. Armored cars were just not up to the task anymore. So a secret project was begun in summer 1915, codenamed "tank". Later down the line, however, the name stuck. But the origin was to disguise the project as a water tank, so as to thrown off enemy spies. In 1916, the new fearsome weapon, called Tank Mark 1, but dubbed by frontline troops and the crews the "Landship" has rolled onto the battlefield, scattering the enemy and finally breaking the stalemate.

Next year, a new armored vehichle saw combat - the Katakov 17. It was a new version of the tank, with a radically different design. It was smaller, lighter and faster, needed only 2 crew members and had a fully-rotating turret. This tank became the first in the line of what's known as the "modern tank layout", which is used by all nations to this day.
