ARMY
The Army comprises the bulk of Ahinara's land forces. Included in it are the standing army, reserve conscripts and colonial peacekeepers. The Army, just like any other branch of Ashinara's military, differed quite a bit from other world militaries, as it has adapted uniquely to fight in harsh unconventional conditions, due to the main part of where they fought are jungle and subarctic, as well as island-hopping. In addition, the Ashinara Imperial Armed forces are some of the most vicious enemy you could fight, as in their absolute loyalty and devotion to the Hetman, they are not afraid to die, and thus don't hesitate to carry out suicidal orders.

Small Arms of the Royal Army
Name: Hvyntivka ZR-88
Caliber: 7.7 mm
Type: Bolt Action
Description: Older Ashinara rifle that is mostly phased out, but still on reserve duty. Single shot bolt action, it was originally designed for the older roundnose 7.7 bullet, although it could also fire the newer spitzer 7.7 bullet that was designed with the advent of the machine gun.Name: Hvyntivka ZR-11Caliber: 7.7 mmType: Bolt ActionDescription: Standard issue Ashinaran rifle, originally only being issued to special troops due it it's prohibitive cost of production, by 1933 it has become the backbone of the Royal Army. 5 round internal magazine, fed by stripper clips. Special design to protect from corrosion in high humidity conditions of Ashinara homeland, as well as the wet muddy conditions of island-hopping warfare. Such features include chromed barrel, dust cover that is integrated into the bolt, as well as special angling and indentations in the stock along the actions to push out any mud and grime every time the bolt is cycled. In addition, the rifle is outfitted with special yet simple gas deflection and venting system that would ensure that no gas would fly into the user's face in the event of overloaded cartridges or any other related malfunctions. Primarily designed to shoot the new spitzer bullet, but can use the older roundnose bullet if need be.
Name: Hvyntivka ZR-11/33 Caliber: 7.62 mm
Type: Bolt Action
Description: New Ashinara rifle, which is the same as the previous ZR-11, but converted to the 7.62 mm caliber that is standard with the member states of the SATO alliance, as well as with some simplification to cheapen and speed up production. The simplifications include but are not limited to the elimination of integrated dust cover and chrome lining in the barrel - which significantly cut down on cost and time of production, but require more often cleaning from the soldiers.Name: Skorostril ZR-12Caliber: 7.7 mmType: Heavy Machine GunDescription: Heavy machine gun for suppressive fire and dug-in defense. Heavy air-cooled barrel allows long sustained fire, in addition to the 200 round belt. Name: Pistolet ZR-15Caliber: 9mmType: Double-action revolverDescription: Ashinara's first domestic production sidearm, this is a short-range sidearm with an effective range of about 50 meters. Double-action only, a top-break action for reloading. It is issued to pretty much everyone who isn't issued a rifle, including officers, NCO's, non-frontline troops such as logistics personnel, etc. Outside the military, this revolver is also a standard issue for police forces.

Army rations
In camp
Ashinara's military installations are designed to be the logistics hubs of the nation's military. As such, they are set up to ensure all of it's occupants are well fed and ready for any orders. The mess halls of Army bases are made to resemble home in the variety of food it offers. Dishes like Varenyki, Dill potatoes, Borsch, Rice porridge and more can be found in the camp mess halls. In the field - field kitchens
Whenever available, field kitchens follow the units to the frontlines, staying just out of reach of the enemy, but close enough to ferry hot food to the soldiers who need it most. They offer more or less the same food as the camp mess halls, albeit in less variety, smaller quantities, and sometimes a bit lower qualities. In the field - field rations
There are, of course, always times when the soldiers wouldn't have access to hot food from the field kitchens. Be they cut off behind enemy lines, or perhaps the fighting it too hot and the field kitchens aren't able to make it to them. The standard Field Ration consists of 6 portions, 2 per day, intended to last the soldier 3 days, and consist of the following: 1. Carbs: 1.1. Canned brown rice as the main source of carbs. 1.2. Alternatively, hardtack crackers made of rice flour. They are both loved and hated by the soldiers - loved because they take up less space and weight than the canned brown rice, and hated because they are much less palatable than the rice. 2. Protein: 1.1. Canned fish, ranging from ocean salmon and tuna, to river carps, eels and others. 1.2. Beef or Pork jerkey. Similar to the carb alternative, this protein alternative trades flavor of the standard option for the better ergonomics of the packaging.
3. Sides: 3.1. Canned picked vegetables come in small portion sized cans. As this method of storage is particularly space-inefficient, there are only 3 portions of vegetables, only 1 per day instead of 2 like the rest of the meal.
4. Beverages: 4.1. Packaged tea. Comes packed in small sealed envelopes, the contents needs just be emptied into a cup and mixed with hot water. Soldiers usually pool their beverages with their squadmates and prepare all of their tea (or coffee) at once in a single mess tin. 4.2. Packaged coffee. An alternative to the tea, packaged in the exact same sealed envelopes with a different label.
In addition to the edible items, each soldier is also issued with a mess tin in which he can heat the food and eat from, a water canteen with a cup which can be used to prepare and drink the beverages, a small foldable field stove that the mess tin could be balanced easily on, and several tablets of compressed Staol as fuel for the stoves.
