Gaelian-Rombard diplomacy

Haney would welcome A. Numerian, an average Gaelian man he would be dwarfed by the Festria. "Welcome good sir, how might the United Kingdom of Ulster-Gaelia serve today?"

"I've been sent by my government to try and work out an arrangement with the United Kingdom for both an expansion of our economic ties, and as well to discuss something of far more importance regarding the URRV."

Haney would look concerned when the URRV was brought up, "I think the UKUG would be all for the expansion of economic ties. But what is concerning Rombarda about the URRV?"

"Well luckily, those two things are sort of going hand in hand, but I don't think we should discuss this out in the lobby." They'd say. "Can we head to a meeting room?"

Haney would nod and follow his host to the room, he showed some slight concern but would confident in his years as an ambassador to handle it.

They'd be brought to a meeting room, and the Festria would sit down on the other side of the table opposite to Haney.
He'd lean forwards and set his hands together, seeming to find the chair's size to be a bit uncomfortable, though it doesn't influence his demeanor much beyond his adjustment.

"Alrighty, Mister Haney, to just cut to the chase, I'll be forward. The Imperium of Rombarda, while a large nation by most standards, is not as industrially gifted as other nations. This hampers us in terms of our war-making potential because, when compared to our biggest immediate neighbor and likeliest long-term rival in this region, we are dramatically outmatched in our actual capabilities. We can't compete with their industrial capacity without having to outsource to other nations."

"My government wants me to negotiate a deal to which we can purchase military equipment, including firearms, vehicles, and especially aircraft, from the UKUG in exchange for expanded trade, reduced restrictions, and increased exports to the UKUG."

Haney was shocked, there was murmors of tensions rising between Rombarda and the URRV but for Rombarda to ask for aid..."It goes without saying, the UKUG would want expanded trade and get closer to Rombarda in general."

He pulled up a portfolio he didn't think he would ever use, "We can offer lowered tariffs to almost 5% which is our lowest non ally trade deal. We can sell everything from the Model 4. bolt action rifle to the Hawker Hurricane multi-role fighter. We can also have all trade restrictions on free market trade lifted which allows companies from both parties to sell products in both countries with no hinderance as long as it abides by that nation's laws and regulation. Rombardan products will be able to be purchased at a higher rate and vice versa, Military orders from UKUG can be filled out and purchased via the UK government who can commission from the companies who build the products. Are you aware of what Rombarda would want in its first order if this is agreeable?"

He seemed if only briefly to be a bit surprised by their answer, but he would give a prompt response. "Yes, that is actually perfect to be frank." He would reply, as he took a notepad out from his suit pocker. "They had told me they had things they wanted to order if it did go through quick and easy like this, but for the moment this is what they've considered to be necessary."
He flipped through it briefly as he would go stone-faced, reading over the notes taken from his earlier briefing back at the RDO building.

"We produce plenty enough of our own rifles to meet the demand. But what they want right now is first, aircraft. Primarily, they want to place orders for multi-role fighters and light interceptor aircraft, their aim for it is to purchase 100 Multi-roles and over 200 Light interceptors, with the preferable amount being 210 to start. They also wanted artillery, and that was also a big sticking point for them, artillery. A couple thousand battalion guns and howitzers, as well as mortar tubes if possible, in amounts necessary to outfit two or so Rombardan heavy infantry divisions."

Haney pulled up a few papers, “you won’t do better than the hawker hurricane for a multi role fighter, interceptors would be spitfires and we can arrange for some artillery guns, mortars and heavy infantry equipment. I can draft actual numbers for the order and a bill proper later. Which comes to the next question, how does rombarda intend to pay?”

"The Rombardan Government will be paying through cash directly to the UKUG government, and as well footing the cost for shipping the finished product back to Rombarda, and as well if need be provide some of the raw materials at a reduced cost. If there is a more preferable means to which we can pay for the material the Rombardan government has given me the power to negotiate it."

“Cash is sufficient, we can begin fulfilling orders as soon as we conclude this meeting and I relay this home.”

He'd nod his head.
"This has been quite productive. I had expected a more prolonged meeting to be quite honest with you. I suppose that we've talked about everything that needs talking, so I can hopefully then relay this to my government, and once everything is drawn up a more official order can follow as well, if only to just give good paper-validity to what I said already."

Haney smiled, "We are finding our dealing with Rombarda better and better as time goes, i'm sure her majesty and Parliament will be very happy to hear of this development. I will get this to our embassy and relayed back to Ulster-Gaelia as soon as possible to begin work on fulfilling orders and to begin the ease of trade between our nations."

"Excellent." He would nod his head. "A pleasure, mister Haney." He would say as he stood up, and then would step around the table, leaning in and holding his hand out for them to shake it.

Haney would gladly shake the hand and thank them for meeting him. Haney would return to the UKUG embassy and begin the necessary work to being shipping arms, aircraft, artillery and less restricted trade to Rombarda. The immediate reaction to lighter trade restrictions was the explosion of Rombardan pasta and food in the UKUG, previously tariffs and restrictions made it available to the wealthy but now Rombardan eateries began popping up all over Ulster-Gaelia starting a large demand for Rombardan food.
