Empress Reitō Doku Kumo opened the door leading to the meeting room that was being prepared for the official ratification of the Aegis Pact. A small handful of Kumo were bustling around the room, some cleaning, some decorating, and the rest were setting up news cameras. They made sure to give the Empress a decent berth. Her expression was completely neutral as she strode through the room. She was ensuring that everything was up to her standards. The room was large, with ornate dark wooden walls, a deep mahogany table, and a pristine white carpet. There wasn't even a speck of dust to be found on the table, as evidenced by Reitō running a finger across it and coming up with nothing. Reitō sat at the table, going over what she planned to say to the cameras in her head for a few minutes.
A younger Kumo woman walked into the room and approached the Empress. "Empress Doku-Kama, the president of Amali and Queen of Ulster-Gaelia are ready for you. Should I send them in?" Reitō nodded and stood. "Yes. Please do." She turned to address the rest of the room. "Thank you for your hard work. Please give me the room. I will be having a small meeting before the cameras go live." She bowed slightly, and the rest of the room responded by bowing deeply and exiting. The Empress allowed her professional exterior to break for a moment as she took a few deep breaths.
The younger woman walked quickly to the room where the president and queen were waiting. She bowed deeply. "I apologize for the delay. You're highness, mister president, Empress Doku-Kama is ready for you. If you'd please follow me I will bring you to her."

Queen McDonald came wearing a modern dress and a ceremonial tarter of her clan. When told to proceed to the meeting she entered and nodded politely to the empress.

President Alfonso Rizzo was adorned in a black suit with a blue tie, hair well kept and clean-shaven, with the flag of Amalia adorned to his lapel. He looked back from the window of the room, looking over the capital of Kumosenkan to the servant.
"Thank you," the President says in almost perfect Common, moving towards the servant and following the Queen of the U.K.U.G. He cracked a smile, jokingly stating, "I was fearing we were being forgotten here."
He followed the servant into the room the Empress was in he nodded to her as a silent greeting.

Reitō was wearing an ornate red and black kimono with golden threading. Her pink hair was pulled back into a very tight and neat bun. The Empress smiled and bowed before the two world leaders. "Thank you both for coming here. I felt signing the pact in person would emphasize it's importance to the populace." She paused for a second before offering a seat to each of the leaders. "Please take a seat. The broadcast won't begin for another thirty minutes."

Queen McDonald chuckled at the president’s comment, she took her seat but kept herself polite and quiet. She knew she was at a historical moment for the United Kingdom.

The President takes his seat, sighing before saying, "This is a very nice city you have. Are there any final things we need to discuss before the cameras start rolling?"
The President looked over at the crowd of camera crews setting up and talking among themselves, the jungle of cameras aiming at different angles towards the trio.

"Thank you for saying so. I haven't had the opportunity to visit Amali nor the UKUG so I can't quite return the compliment. Though what I hear from my diplomats both of your capital cities are a marvel to behold. President Rizzo, your team made quite the impression on Suzume-Kas. I've never read such a complimentary report in my life. Especially not from her." The Empress laughed to herself.
A servant entered the room holding a silver platter with a kettle and three fine cups. "Empress Doku-Kama. I've brought your favorite tea." She placed one of the cups in front of the Empress. It was still steaming. The dark liquid inside was Matcha tea. A rich, complex, astringent, and aromatic tea. "Could I bring either of you anything to drink? We have just about every tea you could dream of." She asked both the queen and president smiling brightly while placing the cups in front of them.

The President points to the Empress saying, "I'll have whatever the hostess is having. If she likes it, it's gotta be pretty good, no?"

"Of course." The servant smiled curtly and poured the president a mug of the same tea before heading out of the room. Empress Reitō turned to McDonald and gave her a sly smile. "I see it's not only your ships that are inferior to mine." She laughed to herself and took a long sip from her cup to punctuate her jab.

Queen McDonald calmly took her tea and said “well if you build ships like you farm, I’d hardly see a comparison.” She smiled having a bit of fun before drinking her tea.

Reitō snorted and fully lost her composure for a moment before putting herself back together. She smiled at the Queen. "I'm glad to see you can dish it as well as you can take it."
She took another drink of her tea when one of the crew members approached her. "Doku-Kama. We're all set up. The cameras will be going live in five minutes."
The Empress smiled at him and nodded. "Thank you. I believe we're all ready." She addressed the other two leaders. "Well? Shall we get this show on the road?"

"I believe that is why we were here, no? Best to get on with it and not keep the people waiting," Rizzo says, taking a sip from the cup.
