"Then I believe the terms are agreeable. The bases will likely just be supply points, places to refuel our vehicles or reload weapons safely. I don't know enough about our air force to know if they'd want our own bases outside of the country or just permission to land if the need ever arose. But we can discuss that with the actual military minds if the terms are acceptable. Where would you like the bases? Near our border with each other, more to the North, or just spread out? I know the only locations you cannot put bases are near Ux Vushoz or any of the larger cities, for fear of the public getting upset."

"We'll avoid trying to establish bases nearby any major metro, but we will need access to your highway and road infrastructure to be able to move the equipment quickly. We can't offroad the whole way there, naturally. My government would mostly want your supply depos to follow a line up towards where our borders meet the URRVs, since if that area is cut off we won't be able to reinforce Northern Rombarda except by sea and air. It's better to have that land route secure." He would tell them. "This includes by having allied forces able to bolster the defenses there already. I'm sure that our air force would also agree to service your aircraft should they need to land at our fields."

"We would want the bases a bit behind the border. Lest we make the URRV think we're preparing to suddenly go to war. Just show us where it's acceptable, we'll look into whether or not we feel it's far enough away." He'd nod. "I'm sure these terms would be agreeable to our air force."

"We intend to place the bases a fair distance back and behind the lines, though we would establish sentry posts and outposts as well to watch the border from a bit closer. This way we are able to mobilize quickly. Most major bases would be a fair distance back so that we wouldn't have to worry heavily about them getting demolished in the case they got the drop on us, unlikely as that is." He'd say. "We can't be too far from major cities because we'll likely have to fight in them, to be frank, should any invasion hit. They'll also be important logistical hubs and our forces from Rombarda will have to pass through them, same as yours would have to pass through ours."

"While I can understand the need for bases to keep watch against the supposed threat to the North, I think you're overthinking the issue. While we'll be happy to have the firebases, we won't necessarily need that many soldiers within our nation. We're certain we have a military of comparable size. Much of our military is outfitted with Amalian firearms, and we've been able to hold our own for most since North Fecrein was taken. You may want to take more concern in corn country."

Her ear briefly twitches as she would seem, if only very briefly, to lose her stride. This is brief though, barely even momentary, and instead notable irritation creeps onto her muzzle, the Festria's fang barely poking out from under her lip as she would nod her head. Her tone doesn't change, but the twitch of her ear and the slight narrowing of her pupils can tell that he is now rather squarely focused in her vision. "You are right, we may be overthinking it." They would say. "And we are. There are parallel negotiations to this going on as we speak to try and fortify Maiz, given that Maiz lacks the same fortune in military equipment and capabilities that the rest of the COG does."
"I think the terms discussed thusfar are acceptable." She would say. "Is there anything else we haven't covered?"
