DM Intervention Thread Algesin Protests in Nowa Lusatia Reports from central Nowa Lusatia are claiming that there are several gatherings of protesters of Algesins. They are demanding better use of their taxes, believing their hard work is going to those in Lusatia proper and not back to their communities. It is unclear if these are isolated incidents or if there is a greater presence.

Though local administrators took the concerns of the Algesin population seriously, and passed the messages on towards the central colonial government, in Górskie Miasteczko, Governor Ignacy Sikorski considered the issue one of low priority, briefly mentioning it off-handedly to the Colonial Ministry, which, unfortunately, was still vacant after the resignation of Liberal Minister who previously held the position. Therefore, there would be no official movement from the Lusatian government to address the issue, leaving the different levels of the colonial government to alternatively attempt to mollify concerns, or, at the highest level, ignore them as just more complaining from the native population.
However, the report would not go entirely unnoticed in Lusatia...

"Can this... 'informant' in the Colonial Ministry be believed, Comrade?" Szymon asked, reading the report of increasing discontent in Nowa Lusatia. The man he was sitting with nodded, "Indeed, Comrade Poterek, he's an aide to the acting Minister, so he was likely able to obtain word-for-word what the report said."
Szymon nodded, "In that case, we shall add this to our platform." He paused, then continued, "Though perhaps in a way more politically acceptable to the people of Lusatia. There's an extremely large expatriate population in the colony, and, if I'm not mistaken, if you add of the Lusatian and Jzedian population in the region, they actually make up the majority. Therefore, we can make the claim that Nowa Lusatia deserves full integration into Lusatia as integral Voivodeships, with all the rights, and investments, due to them. The other parties would never add such a promise to their platform, so it ought to buoy us upward as a party seeking representation for even the most outspoken Lusatian."
"That this will also answer the concerns of the local Algesins would be seen as coincidental, but no doubt the local population will see our plan for what we intend it to be, as well."
The other man nodded, and went about ensuring the various candidates for office around the nation began speaking about the extension of rights and privileges to the people of Nowa Lusatia.
