It was time for the annual parade of the Red Army. Ever since their victory in the Civil War the heroes of the Revolution were honored with a march through the capital. However while that was the main story, it was not the only one of the day. This was the first parade to occur with the state fully secure. For the first time there were no large insurgent groups, and as such the security for the Consuls was massively decreased. This meant that it was the perfect opportunity for the last insurgents to strike at the heart of the Revolution.
Noire whistled to herself, sharpening her knife. She had spent the last year infiltrating the last remaining White Army loyalists. She had earned their trust through multiple missions where she eliminated several low level Revolutionaries. Little did they know each one eliminated was selected by the Institute as a threat to the stability of the Union. And now with the need for the insurgents gone it was time to eliminate them. She smiled to herself. She'd finally get out of this hell hole and back to her normal life. She glanced up as there was a knock at the door.
In walked a man, specifically the one she had used to get into the group. He looked disheveled and nervous. "Marie, I don't know if we can do this, it just seems so off." He would sit down at the table hands on his head. "It just seems like it is too good to be true."
"They're just underestimating us darling," Noire said, walking up to him, keeping the knife behind her back. "All we need to do is strike once and their whole organization will collapse around us."
He would sigh, clearly not convinced. "I don't know, it seems off. I think we should call it off."
"We won't get another chance," Noire said, leaning on his back. "This is the best opportunity we've ever had."
"I'm going to talk to the General, convince him to call it off." He straightened up a little, seemingly convicted.
"I'm sorry, I can't have that." Noire moved quickly, using her knife to kill the man. She wiped the blade clean and moved to exit the room, locking it behind her. One down, more to go.
