Food Prices Continue to drop!
As our bonds continue to strengthen with the other members of the Aegis Pact the price of food all across the Empire continues to plummet. Foods that used to be considered a luxury for most families have now become a mainstay on the dinner table. Typically Gaelian tuna was reserved for special occasions such as birthdays and anniversaries is now a weekly treat. Even in the most impoverished neighborhoods, we're seeing nothing but full pantries and happy faces. An interview with a local university student really helped put into perspective how much things have improved in a short two months. "I can only work twelve hours a week because of how intense my classes are, my diet consisted of cheap noodles and soy sauce and if I worked hard enough for a bonus I could have meat once a week. Now all of my meals have fruits, vegetables, and plenty of meat." -Tadano Kawasaki
Rombarda in Kumosenkan?
A ship flying Rombardan flags was recently seen docking in Fuyonouso. The military ship was escorted by a handful of Kumosenkan patrol boats into an open dock. This doesn't appear to be a surprise visit as a motorcade with government plates was present to greet the ship. A meeting with the de facto leader of the Commonwealth of Granuras was certainly not expected but is more than welcome. Could this mean a future of secured peace with the COG? Or even more ideally further economic prosperity between Kumosenkan and the nations of the world.
How are you feeling today?
Are you feeling less than 100% today? Give a visit to your local clinic or hospital! Starting today all visits to clinics or hospitals are fully covered by the 1923 Healthcare Act, not just major illnesses and surgeries! A message from the Minister of Health was delivered on live television last night. "It is everyone's duty to ensure the health and safety of your neighbors. If you aren't feeling well make sure you visit a local clinic or hospital as soon as you can. It has come to my attention the common desire to simply stay at home or even keep working when feeling ill because of the cost to get checked out. Starting tonight at midnight the 1923 Healthcare Act is going to be expanded to cover any illnesses even just the common cold. Do yourself, your family, and all of Kumosenkan a favor and get yourself checked out. With honor to the Empress, stay healthy Kumosenkan." -Minister Mayeda Kiyoko
