Name of the Species: Neptins Scientific Name: Medius Lutrinae Nicknames: otter-folk, neps
Average Lifespan: 60 years
Average height: Male: 5’6” ~ 6’2”
Female: 5’7 ~ 6’5”
Average weights: Male: 130 lbs ~ 160 lbs
Female: 140 lbs ~ 165 lbs
Physical Appearance: Tall, slender short furred bodies, with strong tails and webbed hands and feet for swimming. Ears tend to be a bit bigger on the females. Most Neptins are oak brown or light brown but in the rare case they’re born pure white, they have a claim to the throne. Most Neptins' eyes are gray, but in some cases can be pink. The fur on their bodies is very light and doesn’t shed very often, if at all and is very water resistant. Due to their fur being light, it keeps them cooler on the more humid of days. Internally they are similar to otters, with slightly larger lungs, however. Due to this they can hold their breath underwater for up to 20 minutes. They have a small pocket under their armpits, for their favorite stones, extra food rations or both.
Diet: Opportunistic Carnivores. Most Neptins prefer shellfish or any type of fish but can live off of veggies and fruit if need be. They tend to enjoy grilled fish with white rice and steamed yam.
Preferred Living Conditions: Neptins prefer the coastline or wetland farmlands. They often have ponds or lakes nearby and prefer to swim than walk, leading to having waterways as transportation.
Strengths: Neptins are natural born swimmers and can easily live in the humidity. They have a special casing on their eyes that make it easy to see underwater.
Weaknesses: Neptins unfortunately tend to be somewhat clumsy on land and often have to rely on their tails to keep balance. It can sometimes take years for unfortunate neptins to get adjusted to the land.
Neptin Subspecies: Sintdo Scientific Name: Parvus Lutrinae Nicknames: Sand-swimmers, tindos
Average Height: Male: 5’3” ~ 5’6”
Female: 5’5” ~ 5’11”
Lifespan: 65 years
Average Weight: Male: 170 lbs ~ 200 lbs
Female: 180 lbs ~ 220 lbs
Physical Appearance: Sintdo unlike Neptins, have much smaller webbed hands and feet. They’re bodies are much stockier and more toned, with slightly smaller tails. They’re much more adapted to desert life, with much shorter fur, tending to come in colors of light caramel, honey, blondes and sand. However, occasionally a Sintdo will be born of fur color such as, calico, pure white, light gray and pitch black. Their eye colors usually range from black, browns and reds.
Diet: Omnivores. Due to the scarce livestock environment in the desert, most Sintdo diets consist of flowers, seeds, cacti, fruits with sometimes either jerky or cooked birds.
Preferred Living Conditions: Sintdo are naturally adapted to living around the desert but prefer an oasis. If need be, they will live by the mountain side.
Strengths: Sintdo are quite sleek and fast through travel on the sand, making trekking through the desert an easy feat day or night. Their fur is just thick enough for cold desert nighttime, and just light enough for sweltering hot daytime. Their sleek bodies whilst adjusted for land, can glide through water as well.
Weaknesses: Sintdo are usually used to not being able to eat a lot, so their stomach size is significantly smaller than Neptins. They can only hold their breath underwater for 10 minutes and have trouble seeing underwater.
Neptin Subspecies: Tacida Scientific Name: Volantes Lutrinae Nicknames: Birdfish, Maketa Seishin’s, sei sei’s
Average Height: Males: 2’5” ~ 4’11”
Females: 2’0” ~ 4’7”
Average Weight: Male: 6 lbs ~ 10 lbs
Female: 5 lbs ~ 10 lbs
Lifespan: 100 years
Physical Appearance: Tacida are very, very small winged anthro otters. They have shorter arms, and a smaller, lighter bone structure. They’re fur colors are usually tan, chocolate or oak, with no irregularities. Very rarely an albino Tacida is born and called Prophet of the leaves and usually is able to become the new Bishop. Diet: Insects, fruits and vegetables. Often steal rice from Neptins. (Will Upload images at a later date.)

Ophiran( Ophirans) Appearance:From the head to the waist Ophirans bear a striking resemblance to humans, albeit, with numerable traits that are foreign to an anthromorphic disposition. Perhaps the most striking upper body quality are they eyes which bear slit-like qualities often with omni-chromatic properties based largely on the breed of the Ophiran. Along their dermis may exist patterns of hardened scale-like qualities though the rest of their body from their head to their waist is reminiscent of human skin. Going past their waist their entire lower body is composed of a single serpentine tail proportionally longer to their torso which experiences several stages of significant growth pre-maturity before consistently growing at an exponentially lower rate throughout the rest of their life. Average Lifespan: 51 Years Diet: Ophirans are obligate carnivores as well as being opportunistic feeders where throughout their existence their physiology has adapted to the consumption of a wide variety of meat drawn from various sources. To a lesser extent they are, of course, capable of eating foodstuffs derived from plant matter such as fruits and vegetables though they cannot really digest these things and derive any nutrients from them. Still, Ophirans may include a variety of produce within their diet in order to make meals more filling though it is heartily recommended that they avoid consuming plant produce in excess which can lead to intestinal problems and issues with digestion. Ophirans are incapable of taste in the traditional sense as their tongues do not have taste receptors but they are able to simulate the sense of taste and smell more acutely thanks to a refined Jacobson's organ and their tongues which are used to collect chemical information in their environment. Illnesses or genetic defects that affect an Ophiran's Jacobson's organ has been known to render an Ophiran taste/smell blind. Because of how long it takes for Ophiran's to digest food they can typically go long periods of fasting before they feel the need to eat again. Preferred Living Conditions: Ophirans are cold-blooded and typically depend on the temperature of their environment in order to regulate their body heat. As such, Ophirans are almost exclusively found in warm, dry climates with consistent annual or seasonal temperature patterns. Though they can venture out into older climates this isn't accomplished without heavy preparation on their part such as typically acquiring resources to help insulate as much of their body as possible. In colder climates Ophirans have a greatly-reduced metabolism where long-term exposure to the cold can simultaneously induce fatigue and restlessness. In the most severe cases of exposure Ophirans may coil their upper body underneath their tales and enter a fugue-like mental state where a lot of their bodily functions are brought to a halt and focused on conserving heat as much as possible. Strengths: Ophirans are opportunistic feeders and capable of consuming an almost indefinite array of fauna including species which may often be deemed traditionally poisonous. In fact, a lot of Ophirans also possess a venom gland capable of producing a very potent paralytic agent which typically can be fatal with a substantial dosage. Ophirans in total body mass are normally larger and as such tend to be more physically imposing when it comes to direct confrontation. On top of their strength they are known for their agility especially when moving in loose terrain that allows their body to move deftly and evade potential dangers. Their refined sensory organ makes them particularly sensitive to chemical augmentations in their environment. What that means is that Ophirans are capable of picking up chemical alteration such as the presence of certain gasses in the air or if a beverage had been altered in anyway just by being in proximity, because of this many Ophirans often apply their talents in cooking or even chemical engineering. Many Ophirans can go days continually digesting only a handful of meals. Weaknesses: Ophirans are large and both require stronger hearts to pump blood and a higher caloric intakes. In regards to the heart, Ophirans are a lot more prone to suffering diseases or conditions in regards to their cardiovascular system and poor regulation of blood. When it comes to caloric intake, though Ophirans can subsist on only a handful of meals for several days they need to be calorically dense and depending on the body mass of the individual Ophiran may require anywhere from 12,000 - 16,000 calories to maintain a healthy diet. Ophiran physiology is fiercely cryophobic and without proper measures cannot normally sustain themselves for long periods in temperatures less than 60*F (18~C).

NotaAliases: Water Dogs, Land BlubberAverage Lifespan:100 Years Physical Features:Nota resemble Leopard Seals and stand on plantigrade legs with webbed feet and a large strong tail. They are covered head to toe in a soft but water proof coat of fur that can cause issues in hotter environments. They typically sport a matte blended Dark grey/blueish color with a light grey underbelly, but some feature spots and other uniquities and differences between individuals. Their fingers and toes have retractable and durable claws, though they must be shaved lest they over grow. They exhibit sexual dimorphism and have 2 sexes. Their heights are very similar in range to humans, with the tallest recorded being 6' and the shortest being around 4'. Diet:Primarily Carnivores, Nota eat fish and other meat as their primary nutrition intake. Though, vegetables and fruits are agreeable in certain amounts. Culture:Nota are a nostalgic people. The epics of their forefathers and past triumphs are spun like never ending yarn from the mouth. Families will often point to the history of their greatest members, sharing the stories great leaders they claim the blood of or champions of bygone times. Many will place themselves against those that came before, seeing their own struggles reflected in the stories they were told. The most aggressive when it comes to 'pushing the envelope', Nota are very progressive despite their wanderlust for the past, using it as a foundation for the future. Nota are quite well mannered, though if one is to compliment them they will begin a family history lesson with little to no end fueling their pride and inflating it to great ends. Between individuals of the same species, this turns into a measuring contest between family stories. Preferred Living Conditions:Coastal areas with large bodies of water. Cool and cold areas where their insulating coat and blubber don't overheat them without trimming and dieting. Strengths:Very good eyesight. Ability to sense geomagnetic fields. Strong tail that can strike things with decent force. Durable retractable claws. Weaknesses:Blubber and thick coat make warmer environments difficult to work in. Claws require decent maintenance. Female Nota Fisherman Circa 1928

LykopAliases: Flat head, ScooperAverage Lifespan:86 Years Physical Features:Plantigrade Aquahumanoids, Lykop are quite short in stature but make up for their height challenges with a stocky build and strongly resemble Cory Catfish. Their heights range from 4' to 5'5". Their faces are broad long and flat with 4 to 6 'whiskers' protruding from them, allowing them their strong sense of smell and taste that works both in and out of the water. Their skin has no scales, but is very smooth to the touch and naturally moisturized. They come in a variety of colors ranging fron Green/tan to Dark Brown or Black/Grey. They are able to grow shoulder length hair on their heads, and males are capable of facial and arm hair growth. They have Sexual Dimorphism and have 2 sexes, Male and Female though certain environmental pressures can cause an individual to change sex. Such factors can be artificially reproduced to induce the change should an individual wish to. They have hybrid live births and carry eggs for 5 months before they hatch internally and the child is 'born' after an additional 2. Diet:Omnivores with a decent lean on plants. Some meats don't agree with them, but if properly cooked indigestion can be mitigated. Culture:Lykop, like their Nota countrymen, are very nostalgic for their towns and villages. Often times looking at a town of 40 people as greatly distinct from the one a few miles to the east with very unique social minutia between communities. They are ones for sedentary societal norms, and are actively large sticks in the mud when it comes to social change. Despite this, most maintain a positive disposition regardless of ones opinion and are known to be very helpful to those in their community. Lykop non Lykop alike. Preferred Living Conditions:Coastal areas with large bodies of water. Temperate and warm areas are greatly preferred. Strengths:
Strong photographic memory in contrast to their poor vision. Powerful Sense of smell in and out of water thanks to their long chemoreceptor whiskers. Very large and powerful tail. Weaknesses:Poor Eyesight. Very large tail limits ability to use vehicles or act in tight spaces. Male Lykop Female Lykop
