The Gendarmerie Headquarders was the one building in Pareau that didn't seem to change with the events surrounding her county. Other buildings would change to reflect the mood of their occupants, but the HQ was always tense, always the building of planning, of watching for threats, both internal and external. Director Volke, head of the Gendarmerie, was ever busy with the tensions at the boarder and the many operations of the Gendarmerie underway. Despite his busyness, the Director's desk was always free of clutter and papers, except for any reports that may have came in overnight, like the one that currently sat on the Director's desk.

Operation Cendres de Phénix Status Report
Director Espiare
Operation is proceeding smoothly. 72% of planned weapon and ammunition caches have been filled, with projections of the rest being filled by the end of the month, and volunteer civilian partisans are being trained on Gendarmerie tactics to disrupt any invading forces. However, there is one fact my subordinates discovered in the course of carrying out this mission I find concerning. While conducting background checks for civilians in Bordemer, nearly 40% of volunteers are registered members of the PSF. Even given the strength of the party in the region, these numbers are high. Comparing numbers in other Baronies, the PSF is overrepresented in all Baronies, the numbers most pronounced in Bordemer and Bromsole. Considering the PSF's recent bill in Parliament, I smell a rat. But we need every number we can get against Kumosenkan. For the time being, I've continued recruiting partisans regardless of political affiliation, but I can bar anyone with PSF ties from entering with your word.
-Colonel Amies, Division Actions Spéciales
Upon finishing the report, the Director began to draft up a response. Doriot was a threat the Gendarmerie was aware of, but he couldn't try anything with Kumosenkan at their door, and he wasn't as much a threat as Kumo by far.
